There is a small book tucked away in the small pack that the gray Khajiit carries. The journal is simple looking. Wrapped in black leather with a thin blue ribbon attached at the binding to be used as a pagemarker. The words 'Property of Ji'darr. Touch, and you lose a finger.' Are carved into the front. The words inside are written in scratchy looking Ta'Agra.

Loredas,
2nd of Sun's Height, Early Morning

This one is tired. It was a long walk from Dune to Vulkwasten, and he hopes it will end up paying off. This one walked into the tavern carved into a tree in the dead of night. Two people were there when he arrived.

The first, one of the races of man, this one could not tell which. He said his name was Saxon, though Ji'darr doubts this. This one knows a lie when he hears one. This man is hiding something, but Ji'darr will not make a comment, for he seemed nice enough.

The other one! Oh, Ji'darr could write for days about her! She is a very beautiful Khajiit, and he learned her name was Kisuna. This one has never been attracted to someone so quickly! He attempted to make conversation with her, and managed to let his shakes get the better of him. He spilled his milk on himself. He was expecting her to sneer and laugh in his face, but he was met with only worry and compassion.

This one admits, he is not the best at talking to women, but she seemed to like him, from what he could tell. He spoke to her a bit more, and learned that she too was missing a sibling. Her brother. He does hope she finds him. Such a kind, pretty person is undeserving of the pain that losing a loved one brings. A pain this one knows well.

After speaking to her a bit more, she reached out and took his hand! Took. His. Hand. This one was surprised at first, and she thought she had offended him. He cleared things up, thankfully. We talked a bit more, before she went to retire. We agreed to meet eachother in the tavern tomorrow after we return from our respective searches for our siblings. He held her paw a bit more before we went our seperate ways for the night. This one found a comfortable tree branch, and she went upstairs, to where he can only assume she has a room.

This one admits, he has never felt so connected to a person before. It is as if we are two blades smithed from the same forge
.

But this one digresses. He will write more later. For now he must sleep, to prepare himself for his search for Wey'Fena tomorrow.

This one is feeling good! Today after he woke up, Ji went to the tavern to ask around about his sister. A small Orc knew her name, and offered to tell her this one was looking for her. The payment he demanded was a piece of Ji's mane. Odd, but this one granted it. He then walked away in a stumble, and this one returned to his milk.

After the Orc left, this one started talking with two more Khajiit - Suki and Kazato'Dar. Ji saw how easily Kaz flirted with the women in the bar, including Suki. This one asked Kaz to teach him, so this one could do his absolute best to woo sweet lady Kisuna. To Ji's surprise, Kaz agreed. He spent the next hour or so practicing his flirting with Suki and Kaz. By the end, this one felt fairly confident. He asked Suki for...other training to ensure that if he managed to woo Suna, he would be prepared. She accepted.

After this one returned to the tavern, he sat and waited. He decided to try a mead, only to learn that apparentally the gods themselves made it. It was delicious! This one doesnt know why he took so long to try alcohol. Soon, though, Suna walked in, and this one made his move. He offered her a celebratory drink for the clues she found about her brother. This one and Suna talked for a bit, before he decided to just go for it. Perhaps the mead gave him courage, but he is so, so glad it did! This one asked Suna if she would like to be his mate, and to his great surprise, she said yes!

This one was so, so happy! He immediately picked Suna up in a big hug, and gave her a kiss, and told her that he loved her. To his surprise, she returned the hug, kiss, and the words! This one and his little Suna went to bed a bit later. We had to get to sleep in preparation for our walk to Grahtwood. This one finds great comfort in cuddling in a bed with his little Suna. He didn't need blankets, because her hugs and cuddles kept him warm throughout the night. This one does love her so much!

All that he hopes, is that he doesn't ruin this... He knows that he would never bretray her trust by cheating. He would never allow himself to knowingly hurt such a gentle soul. Still, he is very worried that he will accidentally say or do something, and make her not love him anymore...

Oh, his little Suna is stirring in bed, which means it is almost time to leave for Grahtwood. He must end this entry here.

Mara, please allow this one to stay loved by Suna. He doesn't want to lose her.

Tirdas, 4th of Sun's Height, Late Evening

This one and Suna went to Grahtwood today in search of her brother. The road was long, and it made this one very tired, but we made it in twelve or so hours. He admits, he enjoyed walking with Suna, and protecting her from the things that lurk in the forests. She has taken to calling this one 'Her Knight' after he guarded her all the way to Elden Root. It is a good nickname, this one thinks.

Upon arriving at Elden Root, we walked around a bit, before heading to the bounty board. We found a sketch of her brother, and asked an Altmer man about it. The elf said that Suna's brother was no one important, and that he liked to hang around the roots. Suna looked as if she might leap over the table and claws his eyes out upon being told her brother was unimportant, but this one managed to calm her a bit. After this, we went outside and looked around the roots. As luck would have it, her brother was on top
of the first one they climbed!

They conversed for a bit, and she introduced this one to him. He seems nice enough
, though this one cannot tell if he likes him or not. Not yet. Anyways, after they talked, this one told Suna that he'd meet her back in Vulkwasten. She gave this one a portal scroll and we said goodbye. After she and her brother teleported away, this one went to the market to find a jewler. He found one and got a beautiful necklace for his little Suna. It is a silver chain inlaid with gold, with a silver flower amulet, also inlaid with gold. In the center of the flower, where the seeds and pollen would be, lays a beautiful sapphire, almost the same color as Suna's eyes. This one thinks it is pretty, but not nearly as pretty as Suna.

He is going to finish this entry here and use the portal scroll back to Malabal Tor. He cannot wait to see her reaction to the necklace! He hopes she likes it.

Morndas, 12th of Sun's Height, Late Evening

To start, this one would like to apologize to his journal. He has not written in it for a week. He has been busy, he admits. Where to start?

Well, a couple of days ago, the guards started gathering volunteers to go defend a town under attack. They offered gold, but that is not why this one wanted to go. He can't let innocent farmers get hurt when he has an opportunity to help.

After a long ride, they finally arrived, and were almost immediately attacked by daedra. This one stabbed a clannfear in the neck, but was caught by its tail and sent flying back. After he got back to his feet, he attacked a flame atronach. It got him good in his stomach. The nice Argonian healer, the young Khajiit girl, and the Bosmer man, Ali. They helped this one to his feet.  Soon after, he saw a man get swarmed by bees! Dull claws, this one hates bees.

After the bees left the man, this one rushed at the atronach that had roasted his belly. He jabbed it right through the chest! He forgot though, that the creatures explode upon death. He was sent flying backward, covered in burns.

He found that as he was laying there, partially on fire and dying, he didn't care about his health, only about the fact that he'd never get to tell Suna how much he truly loved her.

Thankfully, his life was saved once again by Ali and the Argonian. They drug him away from the fighting and bandaged him. He doesn't remember much after that, only waking up in a house that had been converted to a clinic. He laid in bed and talked to the man who had been stung by bees for a while. Nice fellow. Afterward, he talked to a young Bosmer girl. Cirlinn, he thinks. She is a nice one, offered to find his missing weapons. This one likes her, he thinks she will grow to be a fine lady. He slept soon after.

He awoke the next day, and walked around a bit, though it was hard. He slept alot once he returned to the bed. The only notable thing he remembers is that Suna came by. He was happy to see her, but she seemed worried and terrified about him. He tried his best to reassure her. They talked for hours, and this one asked her how she'd feel about marriage some day. In truth, he was gauging her reaction before he proposed. She seemed open to it. At some point, Cirlinn came in with this one's sword. He was quite happy to see it. He thinks he will have it enchanted, and
engrave it with a name. This one and Suna went to sleep together shortly after Cirlinn left.

When he awoke, Suna was still sleeping. He kissed her on the cheek and went outside to get some fresh air, and food. He stopped at one of the traders around the big tree and looked for a ring. He found the perfect one. It is a silver band, engraved with Khajiiti designs. It has a large diamond in the center, surrounded by polished moonstone. It costed this one most of what he was going to use for his new armor, but it was worth it. He has realized that life is short. He wants to be with Suna forever.

He thought he'd propose to her somewhere romantic. Perhaps a cliff overlooking the sea, or maybe over a nice candlelit dinner that he prepared. Certainly not in a musty tavern, while he was bleeding and covered in bandages. But that is how it happened!

This one and Suna were in the tavern together, and he went to get drinks. On the way back, he tripped over somwthing - possibly the rug?- he spilled the drinks and reopened his wounds. He could've lived with those. But the ring! It rolled out of his pocket! Bright moons, he was nervous! Suna seemed frightened for him at seeing the blood, she was crying. He reassured her and she bent down to pick up the ring. Her ring. This one was a bit sad, he didn't get to give her the romantic proposal she deserves, but he went with it. He got down on one knee and proposed marriage to her.

She seemed
overjoyed! She accepted! Bright moons and sharp claws, she accepted! This one was so happy, he couldn't contain himself! He wrapped her in a big hug, gods damn the pain it caused him! This one told her he would never be so foolish to get hurt this way again, and that he'd like to grow old and have cubs with her some day. They went back to the clinic after, and just laid there and talked. He is writing this as she stepped out for a moment, but she will return soon.

This one could go on, but the writing movements are agitating his burn wounds. He must stop now. Mara protect this one. He doesn't wish to lose Suna.

Sundas, 16th of Sun's Height, Early Morning

This one is angry.

He is angry that damned elf, Rhyvin, he is angry at magic. But most of all. He is angry at himself.

Ji got in a fight tonight. He didn't mean to. Perhaps he should start from the beginning.

This one was just sitting in the tavern, when the elf that scared his little friends, Keys and Cirlin walked in. He doesn't like the man. Rhyvin, his name is. This one thinks he may have been trying to make conversation, perhaps even be friendly.

It didn't work.

He angered this one, so he walked away. On the way out, a young one named J'Varr caught his eye. He walked up to him and greeted him. J'Varr tried to impress Ji, he thinks. Talked about how he was a 'brave adventurer'. The boy could barely hold a sword. Ji promised him he'd teach him how to really use his blade, once he healed.

He also confided in Ji that he has a bit of trouble talking with girls. This one encouraged him and told him to go talk to an armored Khajiit lady in the tavern. Minij? Minji? Something like that. Ji thinks J'Varr did well. Got her to laugh and such before she went upstairs to
sleep.

After that, Alyssandre starting teaching J'Varr to talk to girls better. This one used to be a bit sad over Alyssandre. He thinks he may have had a shot with her, if he hadn't mentioned his sister. But he doesn't much care anymore, now that he has Suna. But he digresses.

After she started talking to J'Varr, that bastard elf Rhyvin walked in again. This one hates him so, so much. He did his best to ignore him. Soon, a cub by the name of Ayda came up to him. She is a sweet girl. She wants Ji to teach her swordfighting. He accepted, on the condition her parents said it was okay. She went to ask, and soon returned with news that they thought it was fine.

This one brought his new little friend a cup of moonsugar water. Is an odd drink, Ji thinks, but young ones have odd tastes. She seemed happy that this one called her a friend. He doesn't see why, he tries to be friends with most people. He made a comment about how it is good to treat others how you wish to be treated, and that damned elf piped up with a drunken retort.

Ji told him plainly that if he wants to say something, to say it to this one's face.

Turns out, the dunmer wanted to fight this one. Ji doesn't care either way, just looking at the elf he knew he'd win with minimal injuries. Ayda and J'Varr came out to watch.

This one beat that elf senseless. Ji took a kick to the head, and has a small gash from the tip of his boot, but is otherwise uninjured. He cannot say the same for the elf.

After the elf conceded and Ji won, he tried to pull an underhanded tactic. He meant to hit this one with a fireball while
his back was turned. He likely would have, if not for J'Varr shouting at me to watch out, and Ayda...moons, this one is getting angry again. Ayda pushed this one out of the way, and got hit in the arm by the fireball. This one will never forget how she cried out in pain. It will haunt his dreams for months to come. He held Ayda until her father came down and took her to the clinic. Afterwards, he was so blinded by rage. He has never been so angry. He held his sword to he elf's throat while waiting for the guards. When none came, this one made sure he was immobilized. He kicked him a few times, broke a rib, Ji thinks. Afterwards, he went to walk away, but the elf piped up again. It seems he likes being beaten. Ji lost himself to anger once more, punched at the man's face until he was pulled off of him.

Ji remembers J'Varr praising him, saying how impressive it was to watch this one fight. He admits, he does like the praise. Is good to be appreciated by someone other than Suna.

Ji doesn't remember very much after that. He just sat in the tavern for a bit, thought about the young one and how brave she is. Ji promises anyway, that he
will buy her another moonsugar water next time he sees her. Come to think of it, this one has lots of young friends now. Keys, Cirlin, J'Varr, Ayda. This one thinks he would make a good father.

A small
drop of blood stains the page under that.

Oh, yes...the gash above this one's eye is still bleeding. He will have to have that healed. Goodnight, journal. This one will write in you again soon, yes? Perhaps the next entry will be with happier news.

Broken ribs.

This one hates broken ribs.

This one was out helping the others gather sand, so the town wouldn't flood from the storm. Apparentally this one angered that Bosmer forest sprit - Y'ffre?

A tree branch fell on him. Broke several ribs. Another fell on Ji's leg, snapped it like a twig. The healers say that this one can't be on his feet for a couple weeks, at least.

Not even a window up here. Though he supposes a window wouldn't do much good. Not with this storm. Khenarthi herself must be blowing this damned storm into Valenwood.

His time here hasn't been all bad, he supposes. His sister visits often, and Suna is here with him almost always, only ever leaving for food and drink, and to relieve herself.

All in all, it could be worse.

He was lucky this time. That tree branch easily could have broken his back. It also could have outright killed him. Ji can't die, not before his wedding, and not before he and Suna get a nice home and settle down.

That's another thing. The first night he was here, he and Suna talked about their future alot. With
their combined savings, these ones think that they can afford a nice little house in Elsweyr. We agreed on Elsweyr. Valenwood is pretty, but...dangerous. Animals, plants, lots of places for bandits to hide. Not the best place to raise little ones.

Suna wants to open a little tailoring shop. This one thinks its a great idea. Ji doesn't know what he could do for work, though. He can cook well, but would thst really get this one money? He knows he can't be a sailor. His father was. He wasn't around much.

Ji will figure it out. He always does. Ji does think he'd like owning a bakery, though. He can bake well, make lots of delicious desserts. We will see what the future holds.

But, Ji must take a break from writing for now. He can hear Suna coming back from getting food. Write in you again soon, journal.

<
This is written on a loose sheet of paper. It is pasted into the journal with actual glue. Not being in Valenwood is nice, that way.>

He hasn't written in this since the tree incident. Perhaps it is because nothing happened for a while.

Well, something happened now.

Ji isn't going to write what. It's not safe.

It's his fault, really. He should've heard that damned little mer run at him sooner. Could've lopped his head off before he had the chance.

Oh, well. It is what it is. No use being bitter over it.

His new diet is going to take...adjusting. It certainly smells better than it used to. He hasn't actually tasted it yet.

One of his new friends thinks he should be a comedian. Maybe even start an act when he gets back to Vulkwasten? That might be nice. He does love making people laugh.

Another friend, but one Ji's known for a while came by this house. She's a <This part is scratched out.> too? Ji definitely couldn't tell. It's nice to see a friendly face, at least. That Altmer is too snooty for Ji's tastes. But otherwise he seems like an alright person.

Ji misses Suna.

His old friend is going to bring her a note. A note? Really? Jone and Jode. One of his new friends suggested lying to her. He wasn't sure at first, but...it might be for the best. This isn't something without its dangers, for
obvious reasons. Perhaps she'd be safer not knowing. Though, it is rather obvious, once you realize that his <This part is scratched out.> are red.

Lying. Something Ji has done many times before. Never to Suna, though.

It's for her own good.

Moons, this is a good mess you've gotten yourself into, Ji. How're you going to get out of this one?

He'll figure it out. He has to. He can hardly stay this way forever, can he?

Ji wishes he could've just gave Suna one more kiss before this happened. If he had known that- No. Dwelling on the past
is unwise.

He thinks he's hungry. Thirsty? He doesn't even know anymore.

<This entry is also written on a loose sheet, much like the last.>

Tirdas,19th of Hearthfire, Morning

Oh, moons. His head. He's never, ever drinking again. This is...ugh. Awful.

He got drunk last night. His new friend Nivrchel and him. She's a good one. He likes her. He's thirsty. He supposes a little won't hurt. Theo's little test will take place sooner or later. Then he can leave. He can be with Suna again.

Jone and Jode, he misses her.

Funny. You never realize how much you need your loved ones until you can't see them. Suna, Fena, even J'Varr. He misses them. He wants to go back in time. He wants to redo this. He didn't want this to happen to him.

All because of Inkss.

He couldn't even be tolerable, could he? He's annoying. Ji would think he was annoying even if he hadn't done this. Like a mosquito. His accent only worsens it.

No use dwelling, he guesses. Still, it's nice to let out his feelings.

He wants to go back to Vulkwasten. He wants to wrap Suna up in his arms and just hold her. He just wants to be with her again.

He's scared, in all honesty.

What if she doesn't love him anymore? What if...moons, what if he scares her? Ji doesn't want to scare her. She should feel her safest around him. If she's scared of him...he doesn't know what he'll do. He might run. Again.

No, he can't run. He'll have to deal with it. He'll try his best to explain to her that it is still just Ji. She loves Ji. She's getting married to him.

Moons. His head. He's going to get something to eat.

Sundas, 24th of Hearthfire, Morning

Moons, he's so happy!

Ji left that damned house yesterday. Lucia gave him an enchanted ring to disguise himself. After he got back home, he learned that J'Varr's mate had been taken by slavers. Ji will not lie, he is angered. But the cub knows how to fight. He has full confidence that he'll kill whoever did this.

Ji went into his and Suna's room and found her crying in the corner, with a bandage on her shoulder. He was almost tackled by her hug. This one and her held eachother for a while. Then...Ji told her. She still loves him. He is so relieved. But then...dark moons.

She told him something even worse. He still can't believe it. His poor little angel. He failed to protect her.

Ji and her talked for a while...it eventually got to a happier subject. We spoke of our future. Mainly cubs. Then...Ji offered that we could begin on those whenever she wanted. She said she was ready.

Jone and Jode. She's such a beautiful woman.

We...did what was needed for cubs. It is embarrassing to write down, but it was nice. That is all he will say about that.

She mentioned that twins run in her family. Ji would love twins. He hopes they look like their mother. She has such beautiful fur and eyes.

In any event, Suna might be pregnant now. If this ordeal has taught Ji anything, it is that life is short. One must do what they want while they have the chance. And Ji and Suna want cubs.

Moons. He can't stop smiling. It's starting to hurt.

Turdas, 19th of Frostfall, Early Morning

Much has happened today. It is probably yesterday by now, but the point stands.

Ji woke up late today. He put on his armor, strapped his weapons to his waist, and went down into the tavern. He looked out into the middle of town and saw a large gathering of people. He went out to see what all the commotion was about. Though, he could barely see due to the fog.

Apparently the Fighter's Guild was going out to investigate reports of howling and other bad things out in the fog. Ji volunteered to join them.

He went in a group with Cirlin, Afer, a Bosmer woman, a Dunmer woman, a man with a broom for a weapon and a bucket for a helmet, and one other person. He forgets who.

The howling became louder the farther we went into the fog - though not necessarily closer. Voices whispered to this one. They said he was a monster. That he'd kill and eat everything he loves, then be left alone to think about it.
He is not a monster.

Disregading those voices, other things happened. An arrow with a cable attatched stuck itself in the leg of the Dunmer woman and tried to pull her away. Ji cut the cable and the others helped with the wound.

After that, a hook with a chain attatched came out if the fog and hit Cirlin's shoulder. Seeing as how the chain itself was unlikely to be broken, Ji followed the chain in the fog, intending to end whoever was behind it. As he got closer
to the end if the chain, he was shot with an ice shard from a completely different direction. It hurt badly, but he cannot allow healers to try and help him. Besides Ali, that is. Ali knows of him, anyway.

After he got back and Cirlin was safe, Afer pulled the ice spike out of Ji's arm and we started back. We got to town and  sent the injured to the clinic, then the rest of us went out to find the other group. We found them and made it back to town without incident.

After that, Ji was in the bar for a bit. Suna came down and was worried about Ji, as usual, but this one managed to convince her that he was probably fine. She said she had been feeling sick again, and this one insisted we get her checked out. Moons, is he glad he did.

We found Fena laying down in the clinic with her cubs. They're so adorable, Ji can't wait to spend more time with his nieces and nephews. She named one after Ji. A little snow leopard looking male that she named Jiiro. She examined Suna, asked some awkward questions, then said she was probably pregnant!

Moons, he's going to be a father! He's never been so happy!

After that Suna and Ji went to take a nap, then celebrate when we woke up.

He couldn't get to sleep. He's too excited.

Jone and Jode, we need to think up names.

Fena was discovered.

Jone and Jode, she was found out. She might be dead. Why? She's a good person. She heals people. She doesn't deserve this.

People seem to hate her. As if them figuring out she was a werewolf changes who she is. She's quite literally the exact same person. Or maybe 'was' should've been used there.

Apparently she escaped, but was wounded badly. There's a good chance she's dead. But she's Fena. She can't be dead. He refuses to believe it.

He went down to talk to the woman who got arrested for defending her. Her sister and father are idiots. They kept
speaking ill of Fena. It was a mistake, especially considering the father of his sister's cubs were there. He burned off a patch of the man's fur. Serves him right. If he hadn't, Ji might've done something foolish.

Regardless though, the woman, Sura, says she's going to dreamwalk Fena. Whatever that means. It'll at least let us know if she's alive or not. She better be alive. Ji will kill her if she's not.

Not really. He's just angry right now. He should really go looking for her, but who knows how successful that will be? If she survived she's probably long gone by now.

Oh well. Ji needs to sleep. And eat. He might go hunting before anything. Catch a deer. Jone and Jode, he doesn't even know if he could do that. He's worried about Fena's cubs. Where could they be?

He needs to stop worrying and start doing. He's going hunting. Goodbye, journal.

Middas, 13th of Evening Star, Morning

Gods damn it all. This one knew something was wrong. He knew it the second Xithic told him that Fena was drinking blood. More specifically, Theo's blood.

Ji did research. He went to the Mage's Guild in Dune and checked out every book on vampires he could find. Eventually he found one on enthrallment. Apparentally, the blood of a vampire has properties like that of a drug. It makes the person like the vampire that they drink blood from and more inclined to do as they say. In other words, a form of enslavement.

Theo enthralled Fena. This one's sister. That sneaky, backstabbing, ugly little elf kept this one's sister as cattle. And then he thinks that Ji is overreacting! He kicks him out of the coven before Ji can get a chance to leave himself. What an idiotic person. And that elf is hardly a person.

Ji took Fena to her friends, the Jackals. A Dunmer man and Nordic women are taking care of her now. Apparentally Xithic is affiliated with them? Anyway, Ji is going to have to find Kaz and tell him that Fena is okay. He's got no idea where to start.

This is a nice place, but it doesn't compare to the home that this one bought him and Suna over in The Rift. It may be smaller, but it's ours. He can't wait to go back.
