You find a journal on the endtable of an inn room, surrounded by lavender scented candles, and the other things the brown Khajiit owns. It's wrapped in purple leather, and has a pink ribbon attached to the binding to be used as a bookmark. The writing on the inside is written in simple black ink, and is in very elegant looking Ta'agra.

13th of Last Seed - Morning

This one's feet hurt.

Kiari and her brother have been walking for days. The last place we stopped was Bandaari. That place has hardly changed since the last time she saw it. Tonight, we came upon a town. Someplace called "Vulkwasten". This one thinks it is an odd name for a town. Why would you put the word "waste" into your town's name?

Anyways. This one and her brother went to the tavern to get some food. He got some fish, and shared with this one. Money is tight...Kiari needs to make more somehow. She talked to some Dunmer man about work, but he seemed...shady. She's not positive if she trusts him or not. Said his name was Kib-something. But anyways, back to the tavern. We shared the fish, and talked for a bit. There was some elf man staring at this one, and Ashy thought he might like her! That was very embarrassing.

At one point, some smelly lady pushed a cute Bosmer lady over to us. She had been...flirting with the man who had been staring at this one. She didn't really do much. This one thinks that she was as confused by the smelly lady as Kiari was.

After that, more people came in and out. Kiari didn't really pay much attention. But some big Nord man came in at one point, gave this one some ear scratches and said she had pretty fur. This one does love ear scratches. He seemed nice, if a bit loud.

Ashy's guar has a name now, though. Artax. It is a nice name, she thinks. Soon after the pretty elf lady left, this one and her brother got a room. This one let him have the bed for tonight, she will be fine on the floor. He is asleep now, and this one should follow his lead. She is tired.

17th of Last Seed - Evening

This one is happy!

She's finally beginning to make new friends! This one got to talking with the pretty lady that she mentioned in her last entry. It turns out her name is Eina, and she's very nice. We talked for a while, the other day.

Another friend this one has made is an elf named Gladious. This one was trying to force herself to make conversation. She did okay...she thinks. Her and Gladious talked for a bit. Apparentally he is a mercenary who broke a person's arm recently.

But back to this one's conversation with Eina. She surprised this one while she was reading a book. She wanted to kniw if there was anything "saucy" in it. Kiari does not know what that means, still. At one point, she took the book from her and started reading a passage aloud. Right in the middle of the tavern! Moons, Kiari cannot recall a time when she was more embarrassed.

After that, we had a nice conversation. We talked about why this one does not have a mate. Kiari explained that first and foremost, she is Ashy's big sister. She cannot let herself be distracted. But then Eina raised a good point. She asked what if one day, Ashy comes to me about love? This one will be wholly unprepared to give advice on that. Kiari is going to have to start talking to people more.

Yesterday, though, Ashy walked into the tavern very late at night. All he did was leave me a note saying he'd be back later. Kiari was a little worried, but she trusts him. Mostly. When he got back, he and Keys met. Kiari does hope they become friends. Children need friends, and Ashy's are all in other places. He was soaking wet when he walked in, and this one told him to sit by the fire. He ran back outside, got wetter, and ran to give me a hug. This one couldn't refuse, of course. She'd never refuse a hug from Ashy. But this one needs sleep. She has to seek a job tomorrow. Maybe in the tavern?

P.S. Ashy, if you're reading my diary again, this one will make you do our laundry for a month.

19th of Last Seed - Afternoon

This one is tired.

The nightmares are happening again. She did not get much sleep last night. Why does everything have to be so difficult? Not only do her parents get murdered in front of her very eyes, but then she remembers them...the looks on their faces...the blood seeping from their bodies...

This one is sad now.

At least she has Ashy. Kiari does not know what she would have done without Ashy. As silly as it sounds, he is this one's rock. The rock she uses to steady herself against the storm.

Anyways. Enough about the past.

This one was in the tavern earlier, talking to a small Bosmer woman. She was kidnapped. Dark moons and dull claws...Kiari hopes that never happens to her or Ashy. She thinks it is her fault. That makes Kiari even sadder...

There was another one in the tavern. His name is Storm. He is a bard. This one admits...he is very handsome. Thankfully, Eina came in and saved Kiari from embarrassing herself somehow. Eina insisted on giving this one dancing lessons while Storm played. It was actually very fun! Eina said this one was a good dancer. She also suggested to Storm that he and Kiari should do a show sometime. (Note to self: Thank Eina next time she is around.) Kiari said that she would be happy to, and Storm agreed! This one is not sure if this counts as a...date, persay...but she is still excited. Oh, Kiari will have to find a dress...or something...she wants to look nice. But that can wait for later. This one is very sleepy.

23rd of Last Seed - Evening

This one is very happy!

The other night, she met a very pretty Khajiit lady named Miira. Miira is very nice. She kept calling Kiari cute and adorable. She gave this one a kiss on the cheek! Kiari thinks she, um...likes...Miira. Maybe more than Storm, even...

Kiari, um...she doesn't really want to write down what she did. It is embarrassing still, even if no one will read this but her. She still doesn't want her, um...personal things...to be written down.

Eina gave this one advice. She will follow it. She gave her advice for finding a good, erm...mate. She also told Kiari that she will ask around to get her a job...or something. Eina is also very nice. She is this one's best friend, she thinks. Unless Ashy counts. But she doesn't think he does, he's her brother afterall.

Kiari and Ashy had a mudball war after that. This one got very dirty, and tracked mud all over the tavern. An Altmer man named Thris asked to speak to her, and offered her and Ashy a house - rent free! Kiari did not want to impose, so she initially refused. But he said that Eina asked him to do it, and said that she would kill him if he didn't insist. So Kiari and Ashy have a house now. She thinks. This one is supposed to recieve a key soon. She'll figure it out.

This one dozed off and tipped over the ink jar. She thinks it is time for bed. Goodnight, diary.

7th of Hearthfire - Morning

This one is sorry, diary!

She has been neglecting you. But things are so exciting in real life, she forgot to write them down!

Okay, first off, Miira asked this one on a date! She had a portal scroll. We went to Auridon. We had dinner, then went for a walk on the beach. It was amazing!

Kiari thinks that we are a couple, now. She isn't sure how these things work, but that is how you become a couple, yes?

Anyways, a few days after that, this one started her job in the Rose Garden. She wore a mask and called herself Blossom. This one took...someone's advice. She forgot who, but they said that people buy more drinks if you flirt with them.

Miira showed up and spent time with Kiari when customers weren't bothering her. She has a big, muscular friend named Azarai. She is also pretty, and very large.

Aside from that, though, things have been uneventful. She might try to get a job at the tavern in town. Something to keep busy, yes?
