Waafang is an Orc of few words, but much knowledge, who once lifted a High Elf Mage over his head and threw him for mocking the curve of his tusks. His deepest, most complex conversations are usually with his bear companion Arau, and occasionally with Jax when she’s in need of an attitude adjustment.

Why is your character in Dominion territory?

Waafang lives the life of a nomad, choosing to leave Orc lands after his adoptive clan was slain by rivals, a painful echo of his youth. A rare stroke of good fortune spared his life and the life of his Chieftain’s younger daughter. He was able to keep them undetected long enough to get away from danger, stealing away in the dead of night. Now they travel making a living as sellswords and hunters, Waafang teaching the Chieftan’s daughter all he knew as per her Father’s dying wish.

Background
Waafang spent his early years assisting his Mother in the forges of his Clan, learning about the land from his Grandmother (The Clan's Wise Woman), or trying to prove himself to his Father. Despite the commonly accepted thought that he was runt among his brothers Waafang quickly hardened to his strife, tempered by the anvil of Wrothgar's environment and the hammer of life's unwavering resolve.
Showing skill and experience far beyond his years, thanks to many hard-fought battles and adventures by his Father's side, he earned himself a place as one of the Clan's finest scouts. Trained to fight with spear, bow, axe, and bastard sword Waafang became a formidable foe; his time with his Grandmother granting him unusual insight into the flora and fauna around him, especially when it came to his companion Arau.
Early into his 20's Waafang was faced with a decision, to venture out into the world and make a place for himself or to risk trouble when his Father eventually passed away. The decision was made for him, however, when returning from a trek into the mountains he found the remnants of his Clan in tatters; the few families that had come together dead as the result of tribal warfare. A distraught Waafang brought together what possessions he had, buried his Clan, and set out with companion Arau, axe, and shield at his side.
Weeks passed before Waafang found himself standing before another Wrothgar village. Bearing the name of his slain Clan he sought out the Chieftain, a friend of his Father, seeking both answers and work. Grief for his lost friend combined with confidence in the young Orc's skills convinced the Chieftain to offer Waafang a place in his Clan, a place that was gratefully accepted. He spent many years proving himself and continuing to hone his skills once more, thankfully among those that took to him. Though as with all things it was not meant to last...a tale which continues and leads to where Waafang is today.
