Vilahelm is a very formal, though distant person. He is polite and is always willing to serve, even if he may not like the person. He can be seen as a push-over. Vil is neutral to the war and dislikes any kind of fighting. He will only fight if he thinks there is no other choice, or truly believes in a cause. Socially, when Vilahelm is taken out of a formal context, he can become extremely nervous. His ignorance formed from his lack of social interactions often leads him to making a fool of himself. Thus, he often prefers to spend time working or being on his own. When he becomes close with someone however, he is a very loyal ally and is very supportive of those he cares about.

Why is he in Dominion Territory?
Vilahelm is a wandering soul, who has no home or family to go back to. Vilahelm was rescued by a group of Argonians on the border of Cyrodill, who tended to his wounds. After deciding to part ways with them, due to not wanting to go deeper into the dangers of Black Marsh or wanting to cross further into Cyrodill, he headed through Elsweyr. He has been scraping by since.

Background

"He wears the armour of a lion, but that boy... my son... he's nothing more than a sheep."

Vilahelm was born into a Colovian noble family, with Breton connections. Being the youngest of four siblings, he would not inherit any estates and was groomed to bring family honour within the Imperial Legion. Vilahelm however, was never interested in the soldier's life, even as a child. He would spend much of his childhood interested in art, food and the landscapes of Cyrodiil. Often, he would make friends with the servants of his home. From them, he learned their mannerism, as well as how to cook. His father would not stand for that and cut those friendships whenever he saw them blooming. His father hired the finest trainers to discipline him in the way of a commander and a soldier. He was much better at the latter. Vilahelm was excellent at following orders, but at giving them- he lacked the confidence and charisma of a leader.

Despite this, Vilahelm's father bought him a position as an Officer within the Legion, as well as had his armour made for him. Vil had huge troubles with those he led. None of them respected him and would often disobey him. His failures were noted by his superiors and family alike. Nevertheless, Vil was sent to the front to fight in Three Banners War. His family in particular had made a deal with the Daggerfall Covenant and so he found himself facing the Dominion. The Covenant at the time had pushed as far as Bravil. He and his soldiers were stationed there and saw no battle until news of the approaching Pact reached them. His superiors ordered his men to march towards the borders of Black Marsh and stave off the invaders. Villahelm could not hold the morale of his soldiers and before they even met the enemy, many of them deserted. With so few numbers, a mutiny occurred and a group of his own soldiers made an attempt on Vilahelm's life. He fought off the group, but suffered injuries and was forced to desert on his own. With no knowledge of where he was and suffering from his injuries, he went wherever his horse directed him.

Vilahelm ended up on the border of Black Marsh, where a group of Argonians found and helped him. He spent time with the Argonians while his injuries mended. One morning, one of the Argonians returned unwillingly with a group of Imperial bounty hunters, who were after Vilahelm. Once again, his hand was forced and he and the Argonians scuffled with them, coming out victorious, but only barely. The bounty hunters were sent by his own father for shaming the family. After that, he decided it was best to part ways with the group for both their safety. Vilahelm crossed into Elseweyr, not wanting to go through the hostile swamps of Black Marsh. From then on, he has been travelling on his own, surviving day by day. Seeing the effects of the war, Vil remains neutral on it. He only goes by his first name, refusing to bear his family name.
