Personality and Interests

Personality: Drake is a kind and endearing mer to those who he cares about and likes, however to those that draw his ire, he will assess them and figure out the best course of action to deal with the situation that will cause distress for them and satisfaction for himself. Through years of training and studying under a certain Telvanni Master he has developed deep skepticism for all things, causing him to seek out the truth of things. As a magically inclined mer, he also takes part of the Altmeri past time of striving for perfection, even if his view on what he considers Perfection maybe skewed compared to the rest of his kind. His personality is quite malleable, if the situation dictates, he will act the joker and be a barrel of laughs, or if he is attending court, he will follow all the rules of Aldmeri Etiquette.
Likes: Daedric anatomy and culture, Dwemer constructs, ruins, culture and disappearance, loyalty, efficiency, exercising, training, sparring, cooking, all schools of magicka (Especially Alteration and Illusion), experimentation, lore, good and friendly people, a good drink and warm food.
Dislikes: Excessive adultery, betrayal (Especially the betrayal shown against the Ayleids by the Alessian order), rape, ignorance, arrogance, unnecessary violence, complacency, intolerance and idiocy.

History and Alliances

Life in Paradise
It isn't too hard for a Mer family with a semblance of wealth and prestige to make a comfortable life for themselves in Auridon.
Life on the countryside was comfortable for the Galain house, socializing, drinking fine wines and maintaining orchards, not a care in the world.
Apart from the lord of the house's strict worship of Meridia, something that Drake managed to avoid on a daily basis, everything was fair and well.
Three brothers were there, Arethias Direnni Galain the Eldest, masterful with pyromancies and always a staunch worshipper of Meridia, following her teachings to the letter. He was strict and his faith unwavering.

Cearen Direnni Galain the youngest, a kind and youthful young man, always trying to find a place in his fathers eyes, always striving to make his parents proud, unlike Arethias, he worshipped Meridia for his father did, and he idolized the man, being a paragon of Ayleid strength and wisdom in his eyes. Ever pushing forward that one.

Then there was the middle son, the son who was never seen at social gatherings or familial get-togethers, Drake Direnni Galain was of all intents and purposes, quiet, solemn, always in his books. Learning various magicks at such an early age, Drake would use his newfound abilities to hide away and drown himself in the knowledge of the books hidden in the depths of their library, constantly using Illusion magic to appear as if he was in deep meditation, whist he was away on the coast, reading his books involving a wide variety of things. Little would he not know, he experienced in his books what most mer his age would be experiencing 20-30 years from then. Almost anything he could set his mind to he can.

Everything was fine...

Darkened Acquisitions
Not long did Drake's thirst for knowledge draw the attention of his father's.
Rather than be angry with Drake's lack of worship for their patron, he was astonished at his son's mental fortitude, in fact, it may have even be satisfaction.
For an Ayleid Coraan Galain had many allies and contacts across Tamriel, little to his families knowledge, he had, in the past, had significant dealings with the Telvanni, especially one who had a decent rank in the house who went by the name of Delevas Telvanni, as old, or perhaps older than himself.
With the how adept at magic Drake was, he believed it was time he learnt under the tutelage of his old friend and ally.

Not long had passed before they arrived in Port Telvannis, on the northeastern tip on Morrowind.
Young Drake had never seen a place such as this before, gigantic mushroom towers, strange dark-skinned mer and odd lizard and cat people, bound in chains doing menial work around the settlement.
Being directed to the tower by his father, Drake, with a look of determination began to make his ascension to the summit.

Close to two and a half centuries go by, the gruff Dunmeri wizard taught the young impressionable elven mage all that he deemed necessary to teach the young lad.
He learnt basic survival techniques, the lore and cultures of the different races of Tamriel, various schools of magic to be mastered, such as making copies of himself through large distances to make contact with others, transmuting weapons into other weapons to fit the situation.
Drake was even taught martial combat, out of the basic weapon styles, he took on Dunmeri Spear-fighting the most and put a flair of his own on it.
At this point he was no longer the young mer that first arrived on the shores of Morrowind, he was now a seasoned mage, capable of true feats and marvels.

A strive to perfection it seems...

The Dragon of the East
The year was 2E 572, Drake eagerly awaited his father to return to Auridon, so he could see he family once more and show them just how far he had come.
During this time, the akaviri under the command of Ada'soom Dir-Kamal arrived on the shores of Skyrim, Coraan, having something he owes the nordic people had left to help the children of Skyrim protect their land from these strange invaders.

The Akaviri were remorseless, but it seemed they had some slaves, human slaves, that were part of their vanguard.
Small little skirmishes would have involving these troops, Coraan, taking word to one of the Nordic villages found one of the 'slave knights' lying in the snow bleeding, with a katana shoved in his back.
The Ayleid battlemage begins to raise his staff to put the invader out of his misery to see that the man was covering a small nordic girl and her pet Senche, it seemed the man was attempting to save the young girl.
Coraan, knowing the nords would sooner, rather than hail this akaviri knight as a hero would kill him off, he gave the man two options, stay in snow and bleed out or accompany the Ayleid, taking on a curse that would change him, into a Senche.
Laughing about the irony of the situation, he agreed, allowing the Ayleid to transform the broken man, into a Senche with black fur.

Not long after, did the war end, thousands of Akaviri drowning out at sea, and the formation of Ebonheart Pact, took form.
It was time to return to Auridon, with his son and his new foreign friend.

A dragon becoming a cat, how quaint...

Change! The destruction of Innocent lives
Not long passes since the Akaviri invasion before Tamriel begins to see a intense change.
Structures known as Dark Anchors begin opening all across Tamriel, no land was safe, Daedra invading the countryside.
Over the years Drake was away for, the Breton kingdom had crowned themselves a new High King, Ayrenn returns and takes her role as Queen.
With the near total destruction of the Imperial City and the Empire, the Three Banners war begins, the Aldmeri Dominion, Ebonheart Pact and Daggerfall Covenant begin to vie for control of the Ruby Throne.
In this time, Drake, using his father's contacts made contact with the Queen's Eye's and managed to join their ranks, using his abilities to combat the racist Veiled Heritence problem on Auridon, along side new faithful friend Senji, his father telling Drake of what happened with the young Akaviri Warrior.

This would keep Drake away from his home in Firsthold for quite a while, as he dealt with these rogue elements, and ensuring the continuation of the Aldmeri Dominion, he had finally found his place, even if it was all thanks to a war, knowing that his family were safe, was all that mattered to him.

The word came down to him in Skywatch, after he was helping with rooting out the remnants of the Veiled Heritance, that Firsthold and the neighboring area had been hit by the Veiled Queen and gates to the Deadlands began opening around the city.

As soon as Drake heard this, he got on his horse and did not stop until he got to Firsthold.
The city at this point was burning, Daedra raping and burning everyone in the streets, a disgusting sight to behold.
He made his way as fast as he could, destroying any Daedra he found with his staff-spear, to the Galain Hall, to see it burning down.
He sprinted in to the hall to find his mother and father, crucified by a group of Dremora.
In a rage and shock, he began to cast a volley of spells at the Dremora, who would fall only to be replaced by more.
Wave after wave arrived to accost the Mer, laughing viciously and taunting Drake into making a mistake.
He moved his way further into the hall to be ambushed by a group of Seducers held up in one of the rooms.
They began to torture and rape Drake, prying at his mind, inflicting all manner of wounds and atrocities to him, healing him every time it looked as if he was about to expire.
This, atrocious, although brief torture was cut short, as Cearen stepped in using the light of Meridia to burn the Daedra alive, sending their souls back to Oblivion.

Not long after, the gates were closed, as the Talons and Eyes began to push the Daedra back, Drake came to, thanks to his brother.
On that day, he vowed to get revenge on the group of Daedra that killed his family, no matter what.
When everything cooled down, they noticed the eldest, Arethias, was missing.
They two would make another vow, to come back every year, until they found Arethias, and when they had, to share this moment of remembrance with him as well.

Using the contacts of his father once again, he began his mission of revenge, gaining contacts of his own, making alliances with various groups in the underworld and started to use his growing intelligence on experiments, under the guise of furthering the Dominions powers, to actually further his Strength and power to over come the Daedra, all with a strange feeling of radiance, pulling him down a different path ever so often.
The war was not kind to the brothers three, but they would overcome it.

War... what is it good for?......

Welcome back!

A lot has changed in Blue Skooma since you've last been active, mainly our stricter adherence to lore and not allowing OP characters. Please take a look at our Rules regarding characters. Lore and Roleplaying

Unfortunately, there is a lot on the sheet that needs to be changed or altered, but we are here to help so that you still get the character you want to play. We understand that you may want to carry over previously rped relationships or events, those may not fit with our rules and won't be allowed to carry over into guild canon or guild rp.

Some things that would need to change:
We don't allow any affiliation what known NPCs, established characters in lore or high ranking positions. This is done to avoid power play over other characters, or seven players claiming to be related to the queen etc. In addition, we usually don't allow uncommon races. We can, and sometimes do, however, it needs to be solid and not overplayed/ lore friendly and believable.

In regards to Craftsmer of Sexual Implements, this may not be taken seriously iccly (or possibly oocly). We aren't an erp focused guild (not that it doesn't happen, it does sometimes) so keep that in mind.
