Three letters are left on the desk in the Guard hall, addressed to Kashya Vulano, Renma Vulano, and Zalya.

Kashya' Letter
Madam Marshal Kashya Vulano,

I'm not sure if we are still technically supposed to call you Marshal but it's still a title that I believe you've rightly earned and proven yourself of holding on to.

I'm leaving in the morning, as directed by my former boss. I'm assigned to search for the group I was with before, a group that my father is a part of. They are missing and I am a good tracker. At least, that's what they remember about me. Once they are found and brought safely back, I will return.

If it's not too much trouble, could you read Zalya's letter to her? I know she's still learning to read and may have trouble with it. I appreciate everything you have taught me so far and for giving me a job that I love. It makes me feel like I have a place in town now. And I want to return to that.

Sincerely,
Bashzug

Renma's Letter

Sir Marshal Renma Vulano,

I suppose I'll be calling you 'Marshal' when I return, so I best start it now. I meant to see you before I leave but I received another letter that my arrival to Cyrodiil is urgent and I must leave in the morning. I was a solider once too and so is my father. We were in the same unit before I was sent back home. He was supposed to return home not long after me but never did. I found out that he's missing and my assistance in finding him is needed. When I return, I will want to be a Guard again. It's been one of the main reasons I stayed in Vulkwasten and have started to call it my home. I'll understand if my position is no longer available when I return, but I wanted to let you know that I do intend to seek it again.

I know that you will do well in this position. I have faith in that.

Sincerely,
Bashzug

Zalya's Letter
Madam Zalya,

Don't be sad. You are fitting in well in this town and you are excelling beautifully in your position in the Guard. Just remember to listen to the Marshal, work your hardest, and don't be afraid to ask for help. Sir Fedris Timberscrub is someone that has helped me plenty of times and I know he'd lend a helping hand if asked.

Take care of Fuzzball. I will happily pig-sit for you when I return. Perhaps we can let the piglet meet my dog. I'm sure they'll be good friends.

Until I return.

More letters arrive in town again. Two in the Guard Hall and one to the Sloane residence.

To Zalya

Spoiler
Madam Zalya,

I hope the town is treating you well. I'm sure that you are getting better at the workload of being a Guard. I expect to come back with you promoted and everyone in town respecting you, as it should be. You have a lot more to offer to the town than you give yourself credit for. You just have to be more confident and go with your gut. It told you to join the Guard and you did it, even though you were unsure of yourself. So yes, follow your gut. I'm on my way back now. I might actually make it there before this letter does. Don't worry, I'll be in one piece.

Looking forward to being home again.
Bashzug

To Kashya

Spoiler
Madam Kashya,

I'm not sure if you are even checking for letters at the Guard Hall anymore but I wasn't sure where else to send them. My trip has been cut short. My father and his men are presumed dead. It's {there seems to be a longer break here, like the letter writer paused} not important, the details I mean. I have no other reason to be here. I started my journey home the day before yesterday and hopefully I'll be back before this letter gets there. I'm not even sure why I'm bothering to write it, I suppose I just need something to do while I wait for my men to get ready to leave.

To Hloriella

Spoiler
Madam Hloriella,

I came across these herbs and remembered that you mentioned potion making. I believe they are only available in Cyrodiil, though I could be wrong. I've also enclosed a little crown made of wood and painted by a local girl here. I thought Emelia might like it.
