Good evening! I am new to the RP scene, so I understand a good bit of this may be adjusted.
ESO @name:
@Risselda
Character Name:
Syrxia
Race:
Argonian
Age:
(I could not find a good resource for Argonian lifespans. I read that it is shorter than orcs, so I am guessing 60-70 years?)
Syrxia is approximately 22 years old, though she retains vague memories and deja-voo potentially from 'reincarnations' through the Hist.
Sex:
Female
Marital Status:
Single, not interested in pursuing romance.
Sexual Orientation:
Straight
Affliction:
None (though somehow I am a werewolf in game and need to figure out how to get rid of it....yes I am a noob)
Physical Description
Syrxia is a lean, muscular argonian. Syrxia is notably taller than most of her kin at 6' 3". Syrxias scales are blood red, appearing black in low light environments, but gleaming crimson when struck by light. Syrxia has two prominent horns, like those of Earth's ram, protruding from the back of her head. The ridges of her face and jaw are also lined with smaller, less notable spikes. Her scales are larger on her underbelly, resembling those of a crocodiles, with smaller, armor like scales on her back and extremities. Syrxia's pupils are intense slits, ebony on a golden backdrop. Her gaze is often neutral and unreadable, but not unfriendly. Syrxia proudly wears heavy armor, as she is usually the first (sometimes the only...) to charge into a fight. (I haven't really chosen an iconic armor for her yet, but it will be heavy! And probably pointy!)
Flairs: Syrxia rides upon her warsteen, Skiadrum, given to her by her fostersister as a child. Syrxia rarely changes into anything but heavy armor, making her rather awkward to have around at formal events.
Personality
Syrxia was raised away from Argonian society. She lacks knowledge of Argonian social cues. While she does not purposefully avoid those of her kin, she also does not reach out to connect to them. Socially, Syrxia is quiet- belonging neither to Argonian culture or to other cultures. She is courteous, and while awkward, will do her best to politely interact with those around her.
Syrxia is eager for a fight, though always on the side of (her interpretation of) good. She is reckless when there is a good challenge, and will always dive in first. If Syrxia feels a certain course of action is right, she will not wait for the authorities to agree before she takes action. Syrxia does not outwardly gloat, but is aware of her accomplishments, and will go out of her way to assist others in their own personal challenges. Syrxia is loyal to her friends, and while wary, tries to see the best intentions in those she doesn't know whom she works with.
Syrxia is an weapon and armorsmith, learning the trade from her fosterfather.
(Example 1:
Likes:
- A good fight
- Exploring the Unknown
Dislikes:
-Evil
- Social Affairs
- Politics (she strongly feels politics get in the way of just doing the right thing)
Strengths:
- Capable in a fight
- Level-headed (in verbal decision making.....definitely NOT level headed when there is a monster that needs killing)
- Can generally make authority figures see the benefit of a compromises
Weaknesses:
- Fancy parties
- Being stuck in a situation where she is expected to carry out small talk
- Impatient [though she fights internal turmoil with her impatience, see backstory]
Syrxia is generally level-headed. She was raised by a small clan of orcs, and because of such, she lacks many skills to socially interact with those around her in common society. She tends to remain quiet, until her patience is tested...usually by figureheads who are failing to take action for the betterment of others due to their own personal reasons. She is easily able to see a commonground in an argument or a debate, potentially because of her odd upbringing.
In battle, Syrxia is fierce. She will dive in first with great confidence, and rightfully so, in her abilities. She will go out of her way to do the right thing, even if that means going against orders. While she is generally quiet, she carries a great presence and is viewed as a leader by others. If a bit odd, her loyalty and strength is unquestionable.
Why is your character in Dominion territory? How did they get here?
Syrxia is a vagabond, and constantly travels, seeking her next great adventure or next grand challenge.
BackgroundBackground
Syrxia's egg was stumbled upon by Shgrag Gramulakh, a young orcish child. Though unlikely, the egg hatched. Shgrag was excited about her egg-sister, much to the trepidation of her parents, who worked the forges of the clan. Syrxia grew fast, and strong. She quickly gained respect from her foster family, and at a young age, she learned to forge weapons and armor. Soon after, she learned how to wield them.
Syrxia outworked her peers, seeking validation from her community. She was aware she was different, but was never entirely sure why or where she came from. Syrxia was not permitted official weapons training, but would participate in mock spars ran secretly by the younger orcs, where she proved her mettle and went undefeated for several seasons. Her adopted sister admired Syrxia, and saw great promise in her. In secret, she would share what little knowledge she had about Dragonknights with Syrxia. She would often use Syrxia's physical differences to compare her to the reptilian-like dragons of old, calling her "Little Dragon" when others would often unintentionally estrange her because of her differences being an Argonian in an Orcish society. Shgrag tended the warhorses of the small clan. On a bitter morning amidst a seven day blizzard, her prized mare bore a strong stallion. She gifted the stallion to Syrxia, much to the chagrin of her village, whispering for Syrxia's ears only, that one day she would ride him into battle like the heroes of old.
This was before the "Grime" infested the village.
Undead attacked the village in droves. It is unknown why, or where they came from. But they came. Syrxia watched as her family and comrades fell, not to physical injury, but to what they called the "Grime," a terrible disease that rotted the body from the inside out. Unknown to Syrxia, her Argonian immune system protected her from the rot.
The clan elders were exasperated, arguing about how to deal with the enemy. Attack? Tend to the wounded? Retreat? How would they permanently kill their assailants? Syrxia sat with Shgrag in the back of what would be the last clan meeting. Her mind glazed over as elders droned on for hours about the best course of action before she stood up. The elders were silenced, half at the audacity, and half at the realization that it was the argonian. Syrxia marched out of the clan house without saying a word, hastily retrieving her makeshift sword and shield from the youth's hidden sparring area, and charged into the Deadlands (the clan referred to the area around their town where the undead were spotted as the Deadlands).
Little is known about what actually happened, and Syrxia does not speak of it. The next morning the village awoke as a great pyre was lit. Dozens of undead corpses went up in flames. It was a mass grave. Syrxia's silhouette was seen in front of the great pyre as she returned to the village, limping and drenched in sweat.
What remained of the village stood watching the flames that engulfed the rising sun.
Syrxia was met with a dozen feeble grins. Her clan cheered her. She was finally the hero of legend Shgrag spoke of. The clan elders approached her, embracing her as tears made clean lines down soot covered faces. "We have you to thank..." they whispered, before their bodies shuddered in a familiar, racking cough. Syrxia grasped desperately at her falling clansmen, frantic. She had slain the undead. She had saved them!
As the smoke of the funeral pyre drifted across the village, Syrxia fell to her knees, aghast, watching the makeshift family that had taken her in choke for air, as the Grime carried in the billowing smoke destroyed the last of them.
***I have been looking at the history of Ja-Reet to create Syrxia, a cannon Argonian raised away from Argonian society, though I have not been able to find a lot of information about him***
