Moving Towns. Again.

HEY. So we're considering moving. AGAIN. But this time it's better, I promise. Why? Because we're considering moving to Cormount. So, here's how things are gonna go down; I'll keep this smooth, simple, and to the point.

  • We're not moving just yet.
How soon are we going to be RPing in Cormount? We're going to RP in Cormount for a full week starting on February 5th. It will last an entire week, and we will use this time to get our bearings and see if Cormount is a good town for us to stay in.

  • We will be incorporating factions into the move.
During the entirety of the week we will be in Cormount, we'll be roleplaying with all factions intact and in-town. Due to the upcoming story, all characters will ICly be pushed out of Vulkwasten and into Cormount; no character should be staying in Vulkwasten during the time of the move, although we can't exactly mandate that. We just wish to discourage it and encourage everyone to try out new events in town.

  • We want to encourage everyone to get to know the town before they RP there. PLEASE see me for a tour of the town, first.
At first glance, Cormount looks big, and daunting. The truth is, though, that it really isn't. In essence, Cormount is three tall trees with some treehouses scattered around it; it isn't even a full circle. Getting used to the layout is super easy, but it can be super daunting without someone to give you a layout of what is where. For that reason, I'm not posting screenshots for locations until we decide to move here. Instead, I eagerly request that you DM me in-game or on DIscord! I will gladly show you around town, and tell you what's where.

  • We are running out of hooks in Vulkwasten.
Vulkwasten is a nice place. It's small, compact, and yet still has everything we need to create a town. But the longer we stay here, the more hooks we use up. After a while, new places begin to lose their luster, so it's probably a good time to move right about now, while we're still holding a respectable number of people.

  • We need more officers.
This doesn't have anything to do with the town move. But people are getting busy and starting to drop like flies since they can't help out anymore. Want to keep the guild going? HELP US.

The discussion in-game and in Discord has been good, but by definition it is ephemeral. I was kind of expecting to also see some discussion here. On the other hand, from browsing it since I joined, I get the feeling the website is becoming more an administrative/reference tool, rather than an active social center for the guild -- presumably because Discord has taken over that role?

Do you want some feedback as a reply here? Start a separate thread to keep this uncluttered? Or maybe have the officers "curate" a thread where they put in it the guild-chat/Discord feedback they deem most noteworthy?

When the time comes, I will be making a separate thread for discussion; this thread is not meant for discussion, but just as an informational note as to what will be going on throughout the coming week.
