Biography

The Beginning
Dex was an experiment by a secret order of High Elves to try to train a perfect Assassin. They used a Khajiit due to their natural abilities for stealth and agility. Dex life was carefully thought out and the High Elves even made sure he was conceived under the right moons to become the Perfect Weapon.

The Training
Dex was born without the ability to user Magica which made him appear to be less a threat and harder to detect while attempting to blend in crowds and his surroundings. His armor was crafted for him by the High Elves with infused Magic that can help him in a variety of ways From making him virtually undetectable to Dimming or even extinguishing the light in a room. His Armor is also equipped with hidden devices like blades and even some parts of his armor were designed to be easily attachable and even to explode if needed.

The Mission
After 18 years of training Dex was finally sent on his First Assassination mission. The Elves used the new ensuing war as its test bed and ordered him to take down an Influential figure in the Daggerfall Convent. While his mission was a success he quickly realized that he had not just taken out a target but a loving Father and Husband whos only real crime was creating a trade route with a Clan of Orcs that could have had a negative Effect on the High Elves new Dominion.

The Aftermath
Disgusted with his first act of Killing Dex did not return home as planned. He stayed in the area and joined a guild of Thieves and Assassins. While most people in the guild fought after the most rewarding bounties Dex on the other hand took the ones that were posted by poor family's and beggars Just looking for justice that the guards didn't care to handle. At first the some others in the guild started taking the new recruits actions for weakness and attempted to kill him and take his money one night. That was the night they learned that no one in the guild was a match for him. They left him alone after that and Dex stayed until the age of 22 slowly earning enough money to return to his homeland.

The Return
Upon his return to his homland he started to look for those who trained him with the goal of making sure the secret society wouldn't hurt the innocent again for their own motivations. He soon quickly learned that the Organization had lifted roots and would be a lot harder to find.

The Orginization
Unbeknownst to Dex the organization that he was raised in was just a group of Elves attempting to create the perfect machine for their own Profits. Once the Aldmeri Government caught wind of what they had done they quickly hunted down the group and destroyed them in fear that it would jeopardize the newly formed Dominion.

The rest of his life

Dex eventually found out some facts about the Organization that created him. Mainly that they had been dismantlement and now longer exist he has since wondered around helping those in need and to find a new place to call home

Hey, Dex. I'm gonna try to go through the list as consistently as I can so we can get you all set up. There are some things in here that we're gonna need you to edit. Simply put, there's a lot in your background that stumbles with our accepted lore. And while we try to accept as many characters as we can, we also attempt to adhere to lore as best we can and the majority of this stuff can't really work; I'll go through the list and help explain why, and give you some lore advice! If you're coming here directly from Skyrim, then there's a lot of stuff here that we need to clear up.

"Dex was an experiment by a secret order of High Elves to try to train a perfect Assassin to help in the Great War."

While this is an interesting idea, there are several things wrong with this.

1. The Great war takes place in the Fourth Era, in the year 4E171 to 4E175. - In comparison, The Elder Scrolls online takes place in the year 2E583, and by accepted time standards, it is currently 2E586, almost a thousand years earlier than the events of Skyrim take place. The current war that's taking place in ESO is known as the Three Banners War, a war between the three conquering factions in Tamriel.

2. There is currently an alliance between the High Elves, Wood Elves, and Khajiit known as the First Aldmeri Dominion; the High Elves would very doubtfully attempt to "breed" two khajiit in order to make an assassin. - The first Dominion's ultimate goal was to usher in a new age of Elven rule across Tamriel in order to protect the land; that being said, it was created within a couple of years, whereas it would take a Khajiit eighteen to twenty years to reach combat effectiveness. Simply put, there's just not enough time for the Altmer to "create the perfect Khajiiti assassin." That leads me to my next point...

3. The High Elves aren't as demented and insane as you may think they are. - If you came to ESO and have only ever played Skyrim, then your only judgment of the High Elves are probably "THE WICKED AND ESTRANGED THALMOR." Simply put, the High Elves just aren't all like this; sure, some of them can be snooty and egotistical since many of them consider themselves the "oldest and wisest race," but there are plenty of other Altmer who do NOT think this; the Thalmor that you see in Skyrim didn't actually rise until the end of the Third Era; these Altmer are pretty cruel, gross, and generally unpleasant, but they're more like a government cult at this point, rather than the entire Altmeri race.

"After 18 years of training Dex was finally sent on his First Assassination mission to take down an Influential Jarl in the Daggerfall Convent."

That's creative, but there's one big stint here that doesn't allow that.

1. Jarls don't exist outside of Skyrim - Daggerfall is a completely different kind of government, a different form of politics, and most of it is ruled under a monarchy; that being said, it goes against our lore rules to have the kind of power to kill a King of a province. There aren't many, and that kind of ability is pretty meta. Alternatively, you could say that he killed a high ranking noble instead, but a King is just too much; most of the people in town are pretty chill, so rolling into town claiming you killed the King of Daggerfall would probably only get you some strange looks.

"Upon his return to the Dominion he started to look for those who trained him with the goal of making sure the secret society wouldn't hurt the innocent again for their own motivations."

Again, in lore, this just doesn't fit the bill. The Aldmeri Dominion wouldn't force two Khajiit to do the dirty deed and spend eighteen years turning the Khajiit into the perfect killing machine; it just doesn't work.

-So, Kashya. Now that you've completely torn my biography to pieces and told me I can't use it, what do you expect me to do now?

First of all, SORRY. I hate, hate, hate completely ripping people's creative talent to shreds; none of us enjoy doing it, but we have to keep standards in the guild so that everybody in the guild isn't running around as the Slayer of Queen Ayrenn or the long lost brother of King Emeric. Our guild is, honestly, surprisingly normal. So, given the information you do have, how do we turn that into a character sheet that will fit our standards?

Looking at your character sheet, I see that you like the more sneak-thief type stuff that involves discrete killing, stealing, and so on. Lucky for you, we actually do have a criminal faction that would be fine for your character! I would build that around his biography, and leave the extraordinary stuff out of it until you learn the lore in Elder Scrolls a bit better. Plenty of people are present in the guild to help you out with lore until you get your feet wet, but until you do, here's what I would suggest.

Keep your characters biography remarkably simple or bare until you learn more about ES lore. there's no shame in saying your Khajiit grew up in a surprisingly normal town in Western Elsweyr and became a thief due to troubles with family finances; in fact, most good RP starts when characters have REALLY blank backstories, because it means you have a lot to experience in actual roleplay. Let's put that into perspective. I COULD roleplay some two thousand year old sith lord in a Star Wars roleplay, but I would have absolutely no clue what people were asking me lorewise since I've never played Star Wars a day in my life. If you keep your character really simple, it eliminates the chance of people asking something that your character should know, only for them to completely embarrass themselves.

And hey, don't feel bad. When I first joined BSR, I had my character as some perfect-thief worshiper of Sheogorath that was also somehow a cuddly werewolf. We all make weird mistakes when we're new.

SO, that's pretty much it! Again, REALLY sorry to just completely rip on your sheet; if you need ANY advice whatsoever on reworking your sheet, absolutely feel free to ask me or one of the officers on here or in the Discord; all of us would be VERY happy to help!
