ESO @name: @AngryBrujah
Character Name: Astrid Pdegja
Race: Nord
Age: Exact number unknown, but visibly fully adult
Sex: Female
Marital Status: Single
Sexual Orientation: Find out in game
Affliction: None
Physical Description:
Astrid is a very typical nord woman. Her skin is beige and her eyes are clear green, and most would describe her as stoic (although those that spend time with her recognize a biting wit beneath her generally blank expressions). She keeps her dark hair bound up or back almost always, and almost never shows any skin other than her face or fingertips. The attire she wears (usually leather armor) is meticulously tended to and kept quite clean and orderly. Most would consider her attractive, although perhaps not quite beautiful in the traditional sense.
Personality:
As previously mentioned, Astrid is quite stoic. Although most would not describe her as rude or unpleasant, she seems to take the world around her quite seriously. Only those that converse with her at length have become privy to her occasional jokes (usually delivered with a characteristic deadpan expression). Those who have had the unfortunate luck to find themselves at the end of her blade would describe her as a no-nonsense thug with far too much intelligence for the title of brute.

Why is your character in Dominion territory? How did they get here?
Astrid was passing through after a particularly messy job and happened upon the scene where the guild was getting booted from their town. She doesn't historically spend much time in Dominion territory, but decided on a spur of the moment to tag along and join them to help them recover their societal norms.
Background:
Although she rarely speaks of it to anyone, Astrid was born on a small middling estate just outside Windhelm. Her father was a tutor and her mother made soaps and body oils for the wealthy. They were not well off, by any means, but comfortable enough. Her parents had three children: Astrid, Fjorn and Ostarren. Astrid doted on her two younger brothers just as much as her parents did, especially in their younger years, she being five years older than Fjorn and seven years older than Ostarren.
Her mother tried to teach her the soap trade, but Astrid had little skill, finding more pleasure in making drinks and foods with the scented herbs rather than soaps and oils. And with two brothers it was no wonder that she would rather take to fighting. It wasn't as if the culture of Windhelm dictated that girls could not fight: quite the opposite, in fact. But Astrid took to it like someone with a fever. Her father joked quite often that she had future sight and could see a war coming that no one else could. That she was preparing to be a hero one day.
Then, one night, when Ostarren was merely seven years of age, he accidentally knocked over a burning candle in the bedroom on his way out the door. By the time the family realized the house was ablaze, it was far too late to save it. They managed to save themselves, at least, the five of them huddling outside in the snow and the cold, watching as their entire lives and livelihood burned away within.
They were homeless for several weeks. Astrid's mother and father did what they could to make money, and they managed to house their family in a two bed inn room in Windhelm while they tried to pull life back together again. Astrid, determined to help her family get back on their feet, took to the streets and began searching for work of her own. She found it, too, and became one of the youngest brawlers to ever enter the ring and win. She brought her winnings home and gave it to her parents. They did not approve at all of her method of getting it, but she was not the sort to lie.
The small family managed to relocate to the Rift, buying a cottage near the border of Eastmarch. It took longer, still, for Astrid's mother to gather up the materials and tools to start her craft again, even with her daughter's help. The boys were still too young to do much work, but they did their part, tending the cottage and fixing it up until it became a home. The year Astrid turned seventeen, they finally felt as if they were back where they had been.
That was also the year that she took on her first thug contract. It was not a killing job, which was good. She wasn't really ready for that. The job was simple: find the thief, beat the hell out of him until he gave back what he took. Astrid didn't have very many skills, but she was especially good at beating the tar out of people. The job was a roaring success. So much so that the client paid double and it was all (as they say) roses from there.
At some point around nineteen, Astrid started beating people to death. It was an accident, at first, but then she found she enjoyed it. The people she was sent to deal with were all scum, anyway. Murderers, kidnappers, bullies; the true underbelly of society. She always believed she was bettering the world with her work, although her mother had concerns that Astrid was becoming just like them.
Her family still lives in that small cottage, although both brothers are out in the world and rarely come home, now. Astrid goes back to visit her parents as often as she can.
