Appearance:
Sol is quite short, standing only about 4 and a half feet tall (and that's pushing it) and weighs about 50kg soaking wet. Due to all the time spent working the forge as a blacksmith and the personal exercises he does his body is extremely lean, the lines of his muscles clearly visible on his paler then usual tan skin.
When you start to look closer at the details you see that his hair is deep dark black which he grows long and has tied back in either a loose pony tail or braid. He has a very neatly trimmed goatee and the only other hair on his face is his quite thick eyebrows, these eyebrows are very expressive and are quite often a distraction to his bright green eyes. The most significant and depending on outfit noticeable aspect of his appearance is the golden tattoos that spread across his torso arms and chest, this is the only reminder of his clan that he keeps with him.
Profession:
Once you get to know Sol you'll know that although he enjoys creating most anything his real talent is in the different weapons he can make, varying in appearance but always deadly he can quite often be found helping to fulfill supply jobs through out the day. Those who befriend Sol will also find out that he gets most of his income from more illegal methods, at the moment he works mainly alone stealing what he wants when he wants but is starting to delve into the underbelly of Tamriel more and more and has begun to look for jobs that others need done.
Personality:
Depending on who you ask you might get two completely different responses to the question of Sol's personality, he has two very distinct states of mind and can be known to flow between them quite quickly. You might see him working during the day or performing his meditation exercises and you would see a focused driven man, someone who always seems to have a positive but quite outlook
On the other side of the coin he can be energetic and quick to escalate. Whether that shows itself as loudly getting up and dancing in the tavern to further the laughter in the room or violently attacking someone that has commented on his height there is no half measures with sol when he is like this. This is a sol that when happy is great to be around and the life of the party but when angry you know will probably end up in trouble with the law. Those closest to him would be able to notice that when in these moods he will do whatever he wants no matter the risk or consequences to others.
Regardless of which mood he is in he has a hardworking attitude and is extremely loyal to his friends.
Habits/Hobbies:
Making things, particular weapons but more mundane items too, exploring the wilds and of course the thrill of a heist are what he does to entertain himself however Ivillious also spends a lot of time bettering himself through mediation stretching and training his combat skills. In his downtime he loves to just go the local tavern to have a drink and a laugh with anyone nearby, or perhaps a casual hunting trip too.
Combat skills:
Ideally Sol would take a stealthy opportunistic approach to combat, however his aggressive nature often lands him in trouble before he can prepare. Because of this his main weapons are a two handed sword which he favours the most and a bow for when the sword is unsuitable. In desperate moments he has also been known to use magic however his training in this regard is completely lacking.
Background:
Part of a clan of bosmer living in the more remote parts of Valenwood Solrint's family were extremely religious in their worship of Y'ffre. His childhood was spent in strict adherence to the green pact and he was raised eating only meats, perhaps that is something that has stunted his growth.
Part of his coming of age ceremony was a weak long event that included various contests to gauge the strength and skill of the young men of the clan, the final trial in this coming of age tradition is when the new generation challenging the old generation to a test of combat. Solrint even then a competitor that strove to do his best in all things had not performed very well in the contests and because of this he challenged the most established warrior of the clan. His rash actions would have almost certainly resulted in his loss and having to wait another year to finish the ceremony but for a stroke of unfortunate luck caused the older warrior to trip and all but fall onto Solrint's blade, what was to be essentialy a exhibition match had resulted in Solrint's first kill.
Rather then blaming Sol he was lauded as one of the strongest of the new generation given a place of honor at the feast celebrating the coming of age for these men. It was at this point that the clans religious leader explained the Meat Mandate that meant that he would have to consume the body of his fallen enemy, though initially unwilling he was pressured into the tradition and by the end of the three days had indeed eaten all of his former tutors corpse. During this time he was given his dragon tattoos so that all in the clan would see these and know of his strength and skill.
Although initially happy with his role in the clan, his first killing and then the consumption of his corpse began to weigh heavily on Solrint and the more he thought on it the more he began to question the religious beliefs of his clan. Eventually coming to the realization that he didn't belong here anymore. He packed up his belongings one morning and then just left, telling the clan he was going on a hunt he struck out for Eldenroot. Where he gave up most aspects of the the green pact all that is really left behind is a fondness of meat.
From Eldenroot he began to learn and grow more as a person, he got a few odd jobs on trading caravans to other parts of the dominion and also working in a forge where he grew his desire to make and build things. He also realised that his skills tracking and hunting in the forests could also be used in urban settings, A desire to want to show off his skills quickly turned into a way of making a living and has certainly led to a lot of his more criminal pastimes.
Nowadays Solrint travels the dominion with trade caravans, when he can find work. Sometimes just for the travel and sometimes out of a need to be in a different city as the heat dies down,he is yet to really find his place in the world however knows that it is not permanently in the wilds.
Goals:
- Aiming to earn himself a reputation as a weapon smith, and perhaps one day have his own shop. Though probably managed by someone else as he has too many different interests to be tied to one endeavor for too long.
- Always looking for the thrill he gets from stealing, being able to join a thieves guild or gain sufficient reputation that people come to him for jobs is something definitely on his mind also.
Possible Plot-Hook Ideas:
- Someone guiding him into one of tamriels criminal guilds or perhaps just teaching him the ways of the trade themself.
- Any enterprising merchants may be able to enlist his crafting skills as either a partner or employee
- Always enjoying the thrill of hunting or being out about in the forest and plot points relating to these would probably pike Sols interest
- Casual roleplay would include things like tavern roleplay, and making new friends now he has traveled to the city proper.
