A neat leather bound journal, barely worn, sits on a desk in Aminos' bedroom. It appears the same as any book among the multitude strewn throughout the house.
Loredas, Thirteenth of Rain's Hand
I've decided to write about myself for the first time. My father's been doing it for years, tells him it helps to chronicle his life after he's gone so I don't call up his ghost to ask stupid questions. Not that I'd ever do that, but he has a point in a very roundabout sort of way. So, I've decided to begin attempting to pen my notes about my research and goings on in this exotic part of the world.
Today is the thirteenth of Rain's Hand, day of the dead back home. The only dead I have around is myself, with this brutal hangover. I vaguely remember stumbling into a portal home, alone. I woke up in all my clothes, so I must've gotten much too drunk. Strange smell in the house though, can't place it. I hope Scootie didn't make a mess somewhere. Regardless, I've spent almost two months down here, moving between my new home in Auridon and that dense jungle of a town Cormount. At first, I wasn't particularly pleased by having to go through the muggy jungle in search for relics, but the place has grown on me. The town has a surprisingly large amount charm that has quickly wound it's way around me. Although, it may be due to comparing it to the death fields of Cyrodiil. I'll never be sure, but I can say I am ... content.
In terms of my research, it's coming along well. My supplies are slowly trickling down from Daggerfall by ship. Thankfully nothing has been raided by pirates or the like. I'm planning on having a house warming party of some sort when everything is in place, but I'm not sure who would come aside from a few friends I've made. I might have to hide all the Covenant Livery, when the time comes.
