Physical Description
Aconyte, or Aco to those who consider themselves close to her, stands at approximately 5'9" with a sturdy build . The woman is not conventionally attractive, with dark eye makeup over heavy lidded blue eyes, vermillion hair pulled to the side carelessly, a headband slapped haphazardly across her forehead. It looked as if someone had once told her it looked nice so she continued to wear the trinket, but couldn't remember why. Were it not for the makeup and the colour of her hair, you would be hard pressed to pick the woman out of a crowd. Average features on an averagely shaped face, the most remarkable thing about her frame being generous curves about the chest and hips, though whether this is a natural gift of the Divines, or the result of too many sweetrolls, is up for debate. Far from whipcord and sinew beneath her mix of leather and plate, her sturdy build of 5'9" boasts a homely layer of doughy softness over muscle built from hours of battle in heavy armours.

Personality
Expressive is not a word that would ever be used to describe this Templar. Aconyte is not standoffish, but is not exactly welcoming either. The best way to describe the woman is true neutral. While she may express herself to those closest to her, very few of those people exist. She slides in and out of conversations with varying degrees of interest, usually unnoticed, and keeps mostly to herself. The only way to truly get a rise out of her is to mess with her food, her drink, her sleep, and her possessions. One is likely to find a reaching hand staked to a tavern table with a dagger should it reach to disturb any of these things.

Why is your character in Dominion territory? How did they get here?
Aconyte was born and raised in Wayrest where she began to run into trouble with the law. She has a proclivity for theft, but no true talent, mostly spending her time with disreputables in the Outlaws’ sanctuary beneath the city streets. Taking up the odd merc job here and there she has travelled the Dominion in its entirety, though any question to her travels will result in comments on architecture rather than the people.

Background
Born in Wayrest to an already large family, Arianna became the oft forgotten middle child. Quiet and reserved she focused on her studies as a child, and once old enough went to work with her mother serving as a servant of one of the richer households. Three more siblings came after her, all with bright, vivid personalities, and while Arianna could never have been considered a black sheep, as she is much beloved, she tended to hover on the outskirts of her family life, unable to really connect with the larger than life personalities her bustling, hilarious family maintained.

As she grew older she began to find reasons to avoid the house, gradually getting more and more uncomfortable with the level of noise and activity there as her elder siblings got married and had children of their own, cramming more Bretons into the already bursting house. She eventually found refuge at age 12 in the Outlaws’ Refuge beneath Wayrest’s streets. She garnered the interest of a small gang of thieves and cutthroats, but thought nothing of their escapades, reasoning out their needs to steal and murder with a child’s innocence. They taught her how to pick pockets (not very well), pick locks (she did much better at that) and how to not get caught (middling aptitude). They also taught her how to shoot a bow, wield a knife, and punch a man. By age 14 she spent more time in the sewers than she did at home and eventually moved out to set up in her own little room above a tavern, making her money with petty crime.

One day her band of criminals never showed up in the refuge. She spent a week searching Stormhaven and the nearby area for them, only to discover they had been wiped out by a rival gang jockeying for territory. She spent weeks tracking them down only to find them camping in a grotto. Using a finite knowledge of alchemy, Arianna poisoned their water skins with a tincture of aconite, derived from some handy wolf’s bane. The entire crew died painfully, and she thought the job done, only to be clapped in irons and brought up on murder charges. She gained the nickname Aconyte for the poison she had used and many were shocked at her young age, her family most of all. They disowned her and she thought all was lost, but for a kindly hermit, a priest of Stendarr, who spoke for her and promised to keep her out of trouble until she was 21. The courts agreed and she went into his care.

Moving into his home in The Rift, Aconyte flourished under his tutelage, working hard to straighten herself out and make him proud. She knew that her family had loved her, but never once had she felt the connection with them that she did with Emund. The cantankerous old man would have put anyone else off with his sarcastic wit and harsh orders, but she loved him all the same. When her 21st birthday came and passed she continued to serve him, taking care of him as he fell ill and eventually passed from this world.

With her guiding light gone Aconyte packed her things and took to the roads, doing odd jobs for the Fighter’s Guild and Mage’s Guild, furthering her studies as a jack of all trades.
