Jo’ara is a gentle khajiit, careful to treat others with respect and expects to be treated as such in return. She tries to be the voice of reason and does her best to quell conflict before it starts, but she often gets her nose in places it doesn’t belong. Jo’ara often sews or mends garments in her free time, slowly building up her skills to become a proper tailor. She sidetracks herself fairly often by engaging with new faces, but she doesn’t mind.
Why is your character in Dominion territory? How did they get here?
Jo’ara boarded a ship to Vulkhel Guard from Khenarthi’s Roost. Technically she’s always been in Dominion territory, as far as she can recall.
Background
“I think I was born someplace outside of Elsweyr - Maybe it was Khenarthi’s Roost? - to Khajiiti parents, though my mother was living with a Redguard for a while. They were both very kind to each other, but for some reason, I can’t remember very much about them.” Jo’ara rubbed her chin as she tried to recall her past. “I think the Redguard was a blacksmith and my mother was a clothier...? Anyway, I’ve used the skills I learned from them repairing things like clothing or armor in order to save up the gold to pay for a trip to Vulkhel Guard, where I managed to get a cheap room at Mara’s Kiss Public House.” The Khajiit took a sip of tea and continued her story. “In that city, I came across the Mages Guild, where I learned about the wonders of restoration magic. I visit once in a while to keep my skills sharp, but I’ll admit I haven’t been there often enough. These days I spend most of my time wandering, selling my goods and honest work wherever I went. Sometimes I visited taverns and listened to people’s stories, but there hasn’t been much drama directly involving me... Oh! There have been quite a few Altmer talking down to me, though. The racists can't hold me down for too long thanks to how much I roam, but I hope they don't drive me out of business and keep me from opening my own little shop someplace in Grahtwood.”
