ESO @name: @gypsypiratecaptain
Character Name: Zan’Shavir (main RP character)
Race: Khajiit
Age: 18
Sex: Male
Marital Status: Single
Sexual Orientation: Straight
Affliction: None

Physical Description: Zan’Shavir is average-size for a khajiit; lean and well-muscled. His dark blue eyes pierce to the soul, his black hair is a bit unkempt, and he always seems to have crimson markings on his cheeks. Despite his overall black and grey coat, his muzzle is white, which has awarded him the nickname of “milk drinker” when he was growing up, but he doesn’t take offense in the least.

His clothing is always in fine condition, no matter what he wears. Recently he favors the leathers of the Thieves’ Guild he has been working for. A pair of daggers will almost always be present on his hips, and his fingers often play on the pommels absently while he appears lost in thought, or rolls a coin over the back of his knuckles.

Personality: Zan’Shavir is laid-back, which isn’t uncommon for one of his race. If he doesn’t have a thoughtful look on his face, a wry smile touches his lips, as if planning some big scheme or remembering a joke he heard earlier. He can be a little short-tempered, but it is rare when he will show it.

Likes: Shiny things. When in the market, he will often look at every trinket and bauble available, and occasionally one (or several) will end up in his pocket. If he doesn’t see something interesting enough, he will search the pockets of those around him for something. He finds intellectual conversation stimulating, but a mild case of ADHD keeps anyone speaking to him on their toes. While he likes to read, he finds focusing long enough to finish reading a book difficult.

Dislikes: Braggarts annoy him immensely. Sure, you killed XYZ monster or cleared out ABC dungeon, but who cares? Write a book and get over yourself. Pushy salesmen are another big turn-off for him. If he wants something, he will buy it. If he doesn’t, he will likely steal it and sell it to another merchant. No pressure sales, please! Drunks and alcoholics bother him a great deal. He doesn’t drink normally, as alcohol dulls the senses and takes away from his natural thieving skills, but he finds those who drink too much just plain annoying. He will also avoid getting wet at all cost, unless it is a life or death situation.

Strengths: Working well both alone and in a group (as long as the group has the same goals.) Acquiring hard-to-get items with his “five-finger discount” or learning new things by lurking in shadows and eavesdropping.

Weaknesses: Shiny things. If it is interesting, it will likely find its way into his possession, and he might find himself in prison because of it. Though he likes to think his charming smile and award-winning personality will keep him out of too much trouble. If not, he hopes he can outrun his captors.

Why is your character in Dominion Territory? How did they get there?
Zan’Shavir is from Elsweyr, as any other khajiit. He grew bored with his home life and decided to wander the world in search of something more interesting. Dominion Territory is just where he started out, when he boarded a random ship and went wherever it took him. Being relatively new to adventure, and wanting to see all the world eventually, he wanders the land in search of others with a like mind, though he will travel alone until someone interesting enough comes along. (He hopes to eventually share his time with a female, but it isn’t high on his priorities list.) After meeting some “interesting” people, he found himself in Hew’s Bane doing odd jobs for the Thieves’ Guild.

Background:
Zan’Shavir is the youngest of four siblings. His father Keshnir, once a proud mercenary, and his mother Ayisma, a thief-for-hire, were hired for the same job and they fell in love. Soon after that they retired, starting their family in Elsweyr. They wanted for nothing; if money couldn’t buy it, his mother would steal it. His older brother Ja’Zhirr studied swordplay from his father and left home in search of a mercenary’s life. His oldest sister Ma’leena is their village’s baker and works in the tavern (where she drinks most of her earnings away.) His other sister Khainna left home to study magic at a college in Skyrim, and it’s rumored she is addicted to skooma, but she claims it enhances her magical prowess and she can stop whenever she wants.

Zan’Shavir took after his mother in the thieving arts, and would often steal things from his siblings, hiding them in each other’s rooms to get them in trouble. Deception was fun for him, seeing how far he could stretch a story and still get people to believe it. He stretches the truth more than he lies, and he fancies himself quite the storyteller. He loves moon sugar when he can get it, but eats it in moderation, as he just likes sweet things. He abhors the use of skooma, though, and thoroughly dislikes his sister for becoming addicted.

After learning the basics of thievery from his mother, and not wanting to steal from his own people, Zan’Shavir decided to leave home. His desire to see more of the world was just the beginning of his wanderlust, and the draw of the shiny things he could find was enough to push him over the top. His mother’s stories might have been tall tales, but he wanted to see for himself if the rest of the world was as fascinating as she had made it out to be. He boarded a bosmer merchant vessel, not really caring where it was headed, and went along for the ride. He paid his way with some labor, learning a little bit of the sea trade and sailor skills. (He also made a few coins here and there when he picked the pockets of the crew.)

After meeting a cute and charming thief in Vulkhel Guard and learning about the Thieves’ Guild, he decided that might be a calling for him. He traveled with her to Abah’s Landing where he joined the guild and began helping them “return to their former glory.”

Approved 5/28/18

As a side note, we have a rule against characters personally knowing specific quest characters in game. EX. Queen Ayrenn, Razum dar etc... In this case I'm referring to your character personally knowing Quen. I would just put that he met a random thieves guild member.

Other than that, everything is good! Look forward to meeting him! Be sure to read the Town laws as he is a criminal.

Thank you for that reminder. I have edited the character sheet to remove the name.
