I'm going to start putting things down that I learned from clinics here so I can remember them later if they come up again. I have trouble remembering so much off the top of my head.

Do'Varr - Poisoned

Solution: Gave him a potion that made him throw up. A lot. He felt better after.

Notes: Estre said that he had a kind of poisoning I don't know how to spell. But I think it means that it's poison that he ate, because Varr said the wine he drank was poisoned. Estre gave him this purple potion that Varr really didn't like the taste of, which made him vomit a lot. What's the potion made out of? I should ask.

Afer - Cuts & Bruises

Solution: Put disinfectant on wounds and covered some of the bruises before he so rudely wouldn't let me finish!

Notes: Always clear the wound and then apply disinfectant. Never used a healing spell for it unless in an emergency, or the wounds have already been cleaned. Aloe Vera salve helps with in-fla-mation, however that's spelled, and helped the bruises heal naturely. The books also say Aloe Vera can be used on burns and open wounds. Maybe carry around a small jar of salve?

Other notes: Estre taught the town how to remove an arrow a while ago, but I can't remember all of the steps now since it's been so long. I think it went like, place both hands onto the patient, grab the arrow as close to the head as you can, and pull it out. But what if it's stuck in a bone? How do you pull it out? What if it breaks? I also heard that if it's gone all the way through, then you have to break the shaft and then pull the arrow the rest of the way out where it was going.

I want to learn how to stitch a wound close. Sometimes my magic acts up wrong so it's important I know how in case I mess my spells up. Hopefully I'll learn that soon.

Loredas - I went to the clinic in Rawl'kha. It's a lot more busy than the one in town, with so many traders coming in and out. The staff there let me watch and take notes, though! They said they do it often, even for other kids my age. I got to see a bunch of things, like someone being treated for a burn, and someone else having a skeever bite. I also got to watch a doctor stitch a wound, but it was all very fast and hard to fully see. I didn't get to do anything, though, despite telling them that I was a healer's apprentice. Still, I did learn some things! The doctors sat down with me and told me their experiences. Too much to write down, though, but I remember the important parts, I think. It was mostly just basic advice.

Afer - Shark Bite on his leg

Solution: He said Lola already stitched up the wound, and she did a good job from what I could tell. Although he said he didn't remember if she cleaned it, so I went ahead and did that, as well as rubbed some healing salve on it and wrapped his leg up with bandages.

Notes: The wound was uncovered, and maybe not cleaned properly. I didn't see any infection, so that's good. Do sharks carry diseases? Could Afer become a wereshark?? I hope not. The healing salve I used was similar to aloe vera, made from plants with similar alchemical properties. Wounds that size should always be bandaged or covered up to keep them clean.

Xithic - Broken leg

Solution: Sara had already set his leg, but I put it in a proper splint. Sara did the job right and it is healing properly, but Xithic is paying for a daily healing spell to speed up the process.

Notes: Estre is going to teach me how to set broken bones some time. She said that different bones are set differently, so it will depend. Also, I am using healing spells to speed up the process only once a day. Maybe that will help it heal up in a matter of weeks rather than months. It's like my own little experiment!

Altmer Stranger - Broken leg & Teeth, Bruising

Solution: Estre and I set his broken leg. I rubbed some spearmint salve onto the bruising. Nothing was done about his broken teeth, since you can't really fix that.

Notes: Estre got to show me how to set a broken 'tib-e-a'? A leg bone. It was easier than I thought it would be. Just align the broken bones and then use a stick of something straight to keep it aligned. As for the salve, I read about it, and spearmint is like aloe vera, an all-around good to use ingredient for wounds. It helps with a lot of things, but primarily it numbs the pain and helps it heal and keeps it clean, at least when used as a salve.

Estre gave me one of her old books on healing. It's huge! And it goes over more than I could find, and in more detail. It would take me ages to read it all, so I think it's best I read it when I need it instead, any make notes here from it.

Sara - Burn (first degree?)

Solution: Rubbed some spearmint salve onto the burn, told Sara to cut any burned fur to let it regrow.

Notes: According to this book, first degree burns are minor burns that cause reddening of the skin. Second degree burns are a little worse, the skin reddening with blisters among other things. Third degree is the worst, with the burns going all the way through the skin. For the first two, something like aloe vera is the best way to treat them. But for third degree burns, aside from treating the area around it, there isn't much that could be done besides cleaning the wound up and covering it. Skin won't regrow right when it's been burned heavily. I don't even want to imagine what happens to the fur!

Do not use ginger and peppermint together for a potion to help with nausea! It is too strong. I didn't think it would be, considering they both help ease nausea, but now that I think about it, they both are pretty powerful on their own. I only gave that Breton, Acare Akare Akari? small bottles, so hopefully they won't be too strong for her. I guess it's better than some of the other mistakes that could happen with alchemy, though. I'd rather be a little sick than explode from a bad potion.

I made a big mistake. I've been giving Afer a daily healing spell to a wound on his leg, but I haven't been making sure it was clean. How could I be so careless? What if something actually is healed up in it? Well, I'm sure Afer is fine. It's not like he's been rolling in filth.

Afer - Cut on his hand

Solution: Alijham stitched it up and showed me how.

Notes: I think I understand how to stitch a wound now. Kind of. It will take some practice, if I get any chances. It's hard to describe right now, but I understand it in my mind.

Afer - Rockjoint

Solution: Started giving him a bottle of Cure Disease for a week, hoping it will help him fight it. Told him to take home remedies too, aloe vera or ginger tea to help with the inflammation and pain.

Notes: Rockjoint can be a very serious disease if it's not treated right, is what the book said. It causes painful swelling and stiffness in all the joints to the point where you can hard move, as well as the usual fevers most diseases give you. I need to let Estre know about this, and I need to check in with anyone else that was at whatever they were doing to get attacked by animals.

Sara - Yellow Tick

Solution: Daily bottle of cure disease for a week or two, plus some home remedies to help calm the swellings.

Notes: I forgot to write this down. Yellow Tick is a disease that causes swelling and sensitivity, making it hard to move around and do things without hurting. The book says it's rather easy to cure after a little time. It is not to be confused with Yellow Fever, which is much more deadly.

Other notes: Burdens says that Argonians are harder to poison and get drunk. Lucia said Bosmer are also more difficult to poison. In case there is ever a bosmer or argonian who says they've been poisoned, I'll know that the poison must be strong. Or they are just lying. Probably not, though.

Dalea - poisoning

Solution: The pretty and colorful argonian casted a cure spell on her, which didn't seem to initially work, probably due to how strong the poison was or how long it had been in her system. After almost losing her, we gave her a cure potion and that seemed to help, slowly but surely. Will have to give her a bottle a day to keep up with getting her better.

Notes: It was weird. She didn't get cut, or drink anything, instead it was oil on her face that was suppose to be like perfume or something. Wiped it off of her face, and that seemed to help. Aminos said it might have also paralyzed her for a moment. What kind of ingredients could do that? Canis Root? Imp Stool? Perhaps Nightshade was even used, being one of the most poisonous plants. I hope Aminos can find out, it would be helpful to make something to better help Dalea fight it.

Notes on Dalea's condition
Aminos seemed to figure out what the poison was made of. I was right on the Imp Stool for the paralysis, but he also said it had 'Scathecraw'. According to that book Kashya wrote, that stuff is only found in Morrowind, and some flesh. Seems like a strong combination.
Dalea is getting better, slowly. A daily bottle of a Cure potion seems to be working. She wasn't strong enough to walk on her own, yet, so I tried a Fortify Health spell, and it worked well enough to let her walk! I'll have to see what other ways it can be helpful with.
She was sent home. I haven't heard anything bad about her from Aminos, so I assume she's doing well.

Things to do:
-Find ways that Fortify spells can be useful for healing instead of fighting purposes.
-Look more into the effects of poisoning, and cures for it. Or ways to better help fight it.

Me - some sort of cold

Solution: none

Notes: I've had this cold for over a week now, longer than I normally have them. I may have caught it from the ruins, but I think it's just Rajhin's way of making me pay for his protection. Stole my health. I hope he gives it back soon.
Symptoms include coughing, congestion, sneezing, cold chills, fatigue, mild fever, and general malaise. So far, attempts to cure it with potions and chicken soup have been unsuccessful. Inhaling a vaporized form of a certain potion helped relieve some discomfort, for a short time. Spells are also very temporary. Kashya gave me a sort of onion drink that seemed to knock out a lot more of my congestion. Still waiting to see if it helps longer than others.

Notes
Lu came in a few weeks ago while I was sick and was complaining about nausea. I assumed she just ate something bad. I guess I was wrong, because she said she was pregnant. I've never seen the symptoms of pregnancy before.

After looking over a few books, and a very careful discussion with my brother about what he remembers from when our mom was pregnant with me, and learning some things I did not wish to visualize, I can at the least try to identify the early symptoms. Beyond that, I may have to visit some other clinics again.

Symptoms include: Morning nausea, aches in the back, head, and feet, chills, constipation, fatigue, mood swings, food craving, cramps, and other such things I do not wish to even think about at the moment.

Healed an Imperial thief the other day. It looked like he was stabbed in the back, literally. He was bleeding pretty badly when we found him in the sands. Sara and I cleaned his wound out with water. It almost didn't get everything out, but thank our luck, it did. I brought some supplies with me just in case we needed it, and used them to patch up his wound and help him start recovering from his blood loss. It looked like he was starting to get dehydrated, too, so we gave him some water. Once he was patched up and everything, it didn't take long for him to wake up.

We stopped by an Adeptorium of healers called S'rendarr's Cradle, and they gifted up with a few techniques and recipes of theirs. Some potions, palliatives, salves, and a few tonics. I'm eager to try them out! Here are a few I think could even be profitable for the clinic - and for me.
Moon-sugar cough syrup - medicine to soothe sore throats. While I can't exactly give everyone in town moon-sugar, perhaps I could redesign this in my own fashion.
Cane-oil Lotion - Importing cane might be a bit expensive, but perhaps this can be something to look into in the future. Maybe Burdens would like to help this one out with this?
Toebean Palliative Ointment - Moons only know why they elected to use the word 'toebeans' to refer to our feet, but something like this would be fabulous for the Khajiit population of Shattered Grove, and perhaps beyond.
There are a few others they gave us, but I wish to see what I can do with these first.
