Physical Description: Sahali is a little shorter than the average height for a Redguard, but her limbs are trim with trained muscles used to the weight of dual wielding weapons. She sports a fit build, used to pushing speed and endurance training over the years. Her complexion is lighter than that of a typical Redguard, but her black hair and light brown eyes are all typically within her racial attributes.

Personality: Sahali is easy-going and quick to smile, but her smiles rarely span the full breadth of her face. Once acquired, her loyalty is unwavering; she holds true to her convictions once declared. She walks with the swagger of confidence and she prides herself on her skills. She shows extreme patience, save for anything dealing with the arcane or with vampires.

Likes: Other fighters and thieves who show a willingness to work together and aid one another; wandering to new places; exploring new locales; overcoming challenging fights; tavern story exchanges.

Dislikes: Imperial scum; every-man-for-themselves mantras; vampires; indifference toward things of magic.

Under the yoke of Imperial occupation, Hallin's Stand yearned for the spark of revolution to catch hold on its beleaguered citizens. Located in the southwest of Bangkorai, Hallin's Stand is one of the cities from which Redguards of the Daggerfall Covenant hail from. So it didn't come as much of a surprise when the Legion rolled into town and began to apply pressure to its citizens, grabbing a foothold in a city with mountains at its back; this gave them a defensible staging point to disrupt the Covenant's movements.

But Redguards are quick to fight back, so when the Legion brutally thrashed the town and its fighting force, they crushed their spirit for years to come. There were also rumors of betrayal from within that helped to further disrupt the town, its prominent members without many avenues of trust to pull on for fear of being overrun by the Legion before their actions could bear fruition.

Once traditional methods of overthrowing the Imperials became ever more impossible, people began to form loose bands intent on disrupting the Imperials in an attempt to stir the pride of their people. It was one of these bands that Sahali joined, which was loosely affiliated with the Red Asp, a Thieves Guild member with some infamous renown in Hallin's Stand. Despite the Red Asp's reputation in town, his pride as a Redguard and as a native of Hallin's Stand had him shift gears to use his talents against the Imperials.

Sahali practiced and honed her talents against the Imperials, learning a thieves' skill set from associates of the Red Asp and blade mastery known to Redguards from displaced veterans of Hallin's Stand's regiment. She did what she could against the might of the Legion, picking pockets to find communications missives, filching gold, breaking into the homes of Legion members to rob them of valuables, and fighting off small bands of reinforcements struggling across the desert.

She learned to band together with her small troop, supporting her fellow citizens, her fellow Redguards, and grew to love the camaraderie they had when it came to working toward a common goal. For years, Sahali and her small band lined their purses with Imperial gold and gave regular kick-backs to the Red Asp's associates in the hope that more would band together. Hallin's Stand was divided for the most part, so they struggled to inspire revolution in others. But after a time, lurking in the Imperials' ranks, vampires searched the tunnels Sahali and her crew used to get around parts of the city, using their superior stealth tactics to catch them unawares. Three fell to their thirst, and Sahali barely managed to get away, sporting a scar near her ribs from the encounter.

Whether the Imperials knew about the vampires hiding in their ranks or not, Sahali and the survivors of her crew joined with the Red Asp directly to redouble their efforts. In one particularly harrowing night, after Sahali stalked and killed a high-ranking Legion official in a rare state of frenzy, she discovered a communications missive about Grandeya Nuwarra, the leader of Hallin's Stand. With the help of the Red Asp's means of getting around the city unseen, their loose rebellion was able to stir the people using the Grandeya's imprisonment and impending execution as a rallying cry against Imperial injustice.

Sahali was part of the force storming the castle, eagerly whetting her blade on Imperial bodies. Finally overwhelming the badgered Legion, Hallin's Stand was once more a free city. Her crew dismantled and her ties to the rebellion no longer keeping her in one place, Sahali began to wander Hammerfell and the lands beyond, seeking riches through legitimate and illegitimate means. After a time, Sahali felt the need to stay her thieving hand a bit more after she acquired an estate outside of her home city, the roots of her hometown beckoning her to strive for a better reputation than what her thief's skills could muster.

Now Sahali continues her wanderings, searching for adventure in new lands and ways of making a name for herself. Every now and then, though, a pretty bauble catches her eye. Old habits die hard, after all.
