Physical Description: Tall and bony with a scholar's soft physique, Taralinya is a towering presence of Altmer ideals. Her face is thin and angular with high sculpted cheekbones, and her eyes are narrow and of an imperious amber hue that she uses to stare others down with a master merchant's appraisal. Bright copper hair drapes past her shoulders, meticulously brushed and cared for to ensure that not a single tangle is present. Her sharp features are accented with delicate, arching brows and just the slightest touch of purple eyeshadow.
Personality: Taralinya is a woman of contradictions. On the one hand, she prizes perfection in everything she does, but on the other, she can't seem to let one thing hold her attention long enough to master it. While she has strong convictions and holds others to the highest standards, she tends to make allowances for herself and excuses for her less than perfect actions. She considers herself burdened with purpose as an Altmer, but doesn't seem to know what that purpose is yet. Age has only increased the tensions between who she should be and who she is. At first she comes off as being aloof and cold; it's only when she feels comfortable enough opening up to others that she's able to communicate openly and honestly without pressure. She is narcissistic, and vain, but possesses an even temper and is not prone to violence, and should someone stand her long enough for her admiration be gained, she is a loyal and honest friend who will hold those close to her to similar high standards to achieve their greatness, and hopefully not scorn them too much when they do.
Likes: As a child of Summerset isles, Taralinya enjoys all the finer things in life. She prefers luxury, decadence, and beauty. She's fond of theater, poetry, and sweets. She also holds a natural interest for all things magical. She likes order and predictability.
Dislikes: Taralinya abhors anything that breaks the social contract. Rudeness, bawdiness, and blatant aggression all annoy her. While she doesn't have any open animosity toward non-Altmer, she is guilty of the small microaggressions that go unchallenged in Summerset against them. As a very orderly person, she doesn't care for people who do things on a whim.
Strengths: When it comes to all things magical, Taralinya is a jack of all trades, master of none. She has above average skill at most schools of magic, including enchanting and alchemy, although no one would even think of her as being worthy of being a Sapiarch's apprentice in any of them. She's also a talented seamstress, and often can be seen secluding herself and sewing when things get too stressful. She has picks up new skills quickly when she has the mind to do so, and is in many ways a walking primer on many topics that have held her interest for years at a time.
Weaknesses: Taralinya can't stick to a project for too long. The moment her progress in something plateaus, she tends to shrug it off as being no longer worthy of her time. While she enjoys music, she's not a very good singer and never was able to pick up an instrument past the most remedial lessons. Her constitution and martial skills leave a lot to be desired - she's guaranteed to be knocked out by even the most remedial fighters. She has issues with her social skills as well - her tendency to be cold and dismissive often gets in the way of making lasting friendships.

Overshadowed by them both, Taralinya is something of a black sheep of her family, and left Summerset to escape their dry yet scathing condemnations of her inability to commit to anything and to avoid shaming her family further. Her father had sought to marry her off, but failed to find a suitor who was willing to put up with her frigid demeanor and lack of dedication. She hasn't done anything severe enough to be labeled apraxic, but was close to becoming an ouster, so she left to avoid shaming her family.
