Discord Tag: creamofturtle#1607
Character Name: Nazjouri
Race: Khajiit
Age: 23
Sex: Female
Affliction: None
Marital Status: Single
Sexual Orientation: Asexual (Homoromantic)
Physical Description:
- petite
- white-blue eyes
- black fur
- 3 gold hoops on each ear
- 2 gold hoops on right eyebrow
- rings and bracelets
Personality:
Nazjouri is friendly, laid-back, and social. She loves meeting new people and casual conversation, though is discerning in her choices of true friends. She is cautious in new situations, which goes double for her underworld contacts. After she has established a connection to a thief or a group, she will only take on clients on that their recommendation.
Nazjouri enjoys a life of leisure, and she prefers comfort. Taking breaks is more important to her than riches and luxury. She is perfectly content living in a small home as long as it is decorated to her satisfaction. She loves decorations such as paintings, and body art such as tattoos or piercings, and she has the tendency to hoard such things.
As social as she is, however, Nazjouri is jealous of her personal belongings and her space. She rarely allows people into her home and hates it when they touch her things—including her person. She can grow accustomed to physical contact from specific people, but it must be on her terms. Similarly, she considers herself asexual but not rigidly so. As an admirer of form and beauty, Nazjouri prefers the physical features of human and Khajiit women. She is not strict with either her sexuality or physical preferences, however, and is open to any changes of opinion.
Nazjouri believes in the potential goodness of all people, but she does not impose her beliefs onto others unless she feels deeply morally obligated. Nazjouri does not believe anything in life is permanent. She has no concrete religious beliefs, few very strong opinions, and few uncompromising morals. She considers herself a pacifist, preferring stealth and infiltration to killing. She has no moral issue in killing monsters/demons/undead/animals, but she will still avoid a fight if the opportunity is there. She will only fight people in defense of herself or others; the same goes for killing.

Background:
Nazjouri was born to Elor-da (father) and Gan’Rin (mother), a mated pair who migrated from Elsweyr for a better life. Their one child, Nazjouri, was born in Cyrodiil. Her parents called her Eyes-Glimmer because of how captivated she was with shiny things, but only Nazjouri’s parents and family friends call her that.
They made their living as a traveling caravan, selling metal trinkets and simple jewelry they crafted. Nazjouri took up jewelry-making with gusto and showed instant promise. Nazjouri, however, protested her frugal parents’ focus on profit over quality, so she began making complex but time-consuming wares. Her parents could not afford to fund this hobby, as the complex wares took precious materials and were difficult to sell, so Nazjouri decided to leave her caravan and forge her own path when she was eighteen. Her parents encouraged her to follow her passion, and Nazjouri parted on good terms with them.
Experience had shown that crafting expensive jewelry was a similarly expensive profession, so Nazjouri sought methods of finding cheaper materials. In cities, Nazjouri quickly noticed that she was treated with suspicion by guards because of Khajiits’ reputation for being thieves, so Nazjouri stayed away from that risky life. Additionally, her parents had taught that thieving was only for desperate times.
Also because she was a Khajiit, however, thieves assumed she was one of their own. Thus, Nazjouri learned the benefits of being a fence: She does not have to steal personally, she can acquire difficult-to-find goods at low prices, and she is protected by the local Thieves Guild.
Life is good.
