Ethics - On the surface, Veldus can seem to be a mix-match of kindness and bluntness with a dash of jokes every now and again. While it may initially seem as though Veldus can't quite decipher his own personality, his true intention is to make friends with as many people as possible, even if that means changing up his own personality traits. Veldus does this unintentionally, but his constantly changing sense of self causes himself to question his own morality at times, and what he truly believes in. Underneath the surface layer of public appeal, Veldus is mostly focused on his own self-interests, and will only put himself in danger if the person in question is both a friend, and in a life-or-death situation. Despite that, Veldus has a habit of making friends as quickly as possible in order to better suit his financial gains; unable to quite decipher who is and isn't his actual friend, Veldus will often go out of his way for people that he initially only wanted as a customer.
His views of politics are indifferent, to say the least; matters of slavery and false incrimination in Vvardenfell are merely business hindrances to him, and he thinks little of the actual implications they have on victims. Likewise, he thinks little of the values (or lack thereof) of war, and the death it entails. Veldus cares about the homefront, his business there, and little else.
Likes - Veldus is a person of luxury, even if he won't quite admit it. While his dreams are to ultimately own multiple home fronts and possess more coin than Covenant banks, Veldus spends his own coin far too quickly on leisurely items, furniture, and pursuits. His home is decorated with luxurious but unnecessary baubles, and most coin he does make goes into expensive Dunmeri meals and items that he can resell. While Veldus himself is a superb merchant, and enjoys priding himself on that fact, he also enjoys spending his coin as fast as he makes it.
Dislikes - Despite his indifference on violent politics and wartime squabbles, Veldus despises unnecessary violence, and will always resort to a diplomatic or magical resolution before a lethal one. Otherwise, Veldus's only real dislikes lie in the usual expectations: Daedra, necromancy, the afflicted, and pursuits that cause him to lose coin.
Skills - Veldus is outspoken in his ability to persuade and trade for a good deal and makes that overtly known, even while he barters. Even when receiving a relatively bad deal, Veldus somehow always finds a way to make up for the loss. Veldus also excels in some fields of magic; conversely, however, he makes it a point not to display his prowess in public, for reasons unknown.
Magic - Unknown.
Languages - Veldus excels at speaking in both common Tamrielic, and Dunmeris. He knows nothing of other languages, however. It has been observed that in Vvardenfell, Veldus will write his ledgers in common Tamrielic. Off the island, however, Veldus will write his ledgers in Dunmeris.
