Hello myself,
It's been a very long time since I have written a log. To keep it short and sweet, however, I have decided to seek out a cure for my lycanthrophy. What spurred this was just a normal visit to a local library.
I happened to come across a book called "Experiments with Lycanthropy" by a dunmer named Ralo Fathran. In the literature, he captures many werewolves in his lifetime and performs many experiments on them—dead and alive. One of the experiments in particular posed the question: can hereditary lycanthropy be cured? And he finds out that the answer is... yes.
My entire life, I have always been under the impression that a cure would kill me, that my beast is intertwined in my very bones, in my very soul, and it would be impossible. At this point in my life, though, I would rather die trying to cure myself than die murdered for what I am. For me, and for my family. It is time to turn over a new leaf.
Since reading that book, I have purchased and rented a number of other pieces of literature on lycanthrophy. I have since read that it is possible to find a cure through the Glenmoril Witches of the Wyrd. I am determined to find them, but that is not the only hangup I have encountered in my readings—they won't just cure anyone because someone says 'please.' So, I am to prepare some offering to please them.
My plan is to visit my mother and father, a practicing priest and priestess of Hircine, and ask them to hold a ritual to speak with Hircine for me to ask what I may do to gain his favor. Whatever he asks of me to do, I shall do it, and present it to the Witches instead.
Estre said it was smart. Estre is usually right. Oh gods, I hope this works. I hope this works. I suppose this is my first log of many, on my accounts of trying to rid myself of this daedric poison I was born into. We will see what comes of me.
