Appearence: Pic related. Greyish-white hair and eyes.
Background:
Aurora comes from a noble breton family who fell on the good graces of a number of nords in Skyrim, earning them a small keep in the frozen lands, and a title of power in a limited territory, although often contested by nords who didnt want bretons to rule in their land. While often unlikely for bretons, her parents shared a lot of the nords thoughts on rough combat, and were always trying to teach Aurora how to handle steel, and how to build muscle in order to dominate your opponents. However, the little girl was afflicted by brittle bone disease, and was completely incapable of granting their wishes, who, although loved her very much, ended up just teaching her the basics of blacksmithing so she wouldnt forget her families fighting insticts, and kept her mostly locked in the keep so she wouldnt end up in danger. What they didnt know, however, was that the little girl actually had strong affinity with magic, causing her to often steal the books from her families library in order to study the kind of spells that interested her the most: Frost Magic. This was kept in secret, as her parents thought magic was a cowards weapon, relegating mages to low positions in their keep, such as librarians, which made Aurora keep her interest in spells a secret.
A day before her 18th birthday, she took a risk to leave the keep, as she knew that after becoming an adult, she would start being seen as an inheritor, which would create notoriety which would make it a lot harder to pursue her interest in magic, so, when she had already learned all she could from books in a dark room, she followed a tale once described in her readings, about a frost spirit living in a cave not too distant from her home, and, against all of her parents wishes, snuck away and decided to pursue said spirit in order for her magic not to wither away fruitless and weak.
She survived the blistering cold, she pushed through the snowstorms, she avoided the bandits in the roads, and eventually, with a lot of struggle, reached her destination. When inside the cave, however, a landslide caused her to violently crash into the ground, shattering the girls bones, and slowly making the unbearable pain she felt turn into cold and numbness, as her eyes slowly started to give in. Moments before she would pass, the spirit of the cave awakened, intrigued by the girls courage and determination to pursue a place like this despite her condition. The glacial spirit then decided to grant the young woman a second chance, by using magic to bind her bones back together infusing them with ice, and protecting her from being afflicted with most of the effects that said magic inside a body would have on humans.
After the girl woke up, she decided to go back to her home, unsure of what had just happened, and unable to meet the spirit. It was eventually revealed that that would be the least of her problems, as she found out her family had been victim of a horrible cue, perpetrated by the nords who saw bretons being able to rule in Skyrim as a disgusting and humiliating act. Two of which, found Aurora, who, even though they couldnt match the young noble to their given descriptions, were immediatly alarmed by the fact that she was a breton. As she was about to be attacked, an ice shield formed in her forearm, being able to protect her from the blow of the nords axe. That moment, she realized both her potential on frost magic and the strength of her bones had been gifted by an icy presence. She was able to freeze the nords bodies for enough time to get away, leaving her completely lost in the world, with no place to go back to. Though, she had realized one thing: when mixed with the protection of ice magic, close-quarters melee combat could actually be a boon, as fought, altough magicless, by her parents. And so, she became determined, even though she had a small stature and only-recently healed brittle bones, that she would become a protector who used armor like her family did, with her ice magic enveloping it in order to be able to make up for the girls lack of overall vigor, strength and size.
She was left with nothing but the only thing on her: The crown she would one day use, that she kept in her satchel, which she refused to leave at home, as she thought that proving her nobility to the spirit could grant her its blessing. The first time she looked at herself in a frozen lake, she realized her appearence had changed since the cave: Her eyes now had a greyish tone to them, her skin pale, her hair was white, and her skin was cold. She realized in that moment of unableness to recognize oneself how foolish it was to leave behind everything her family were and represented in order to chase an old tale, even if it turned out to be true; after all, she did manage to escape those nords with ice magic, so it could likely be her fault that her parents couldnt also escape such terrible fate, while having no knowledge of where their daughter is or if she is being brutalized the same way they were. As an act of pride in her roots she previously resented so much, she put the crown in her head, marched south where there might be less enemies and she could find allies, and became determined to, one day, make the responsibles pay, and take back the title that was her familys legacy, and her birthright.
Personality: Is extremely proud, as she comes from a position of nobility and power. She can often display a bit of a superiority complex as she still sees most people as plebeian. She learned to blacksmith at a young age, even though she doesnt like it very much, and secretly loves cooking the cutest sweets from time to time, because her maids used to make them in her noble infancy, although she wont tell anybody in fear of looking less imposing. Her skin is pretty cold, and she usually mantains a cool head, unless her pride is provoked. Despite all this, she still has a warm heart and looks to help people in need whenever possible.
Likes: Frost magic, sweets, noble castles and culture, fluffy animals (she absolutely cant help but turning 5 again when seeing a cute animal), displays of honor, being treated with prestige. She also likes saying plebeian a lot.
Dislikes: Being treated without respect, or even like everyone else, being underestimated, hot temperatures and fire magic, as she feels heat a lot more and cold a lot less due to her body temperature, cheating in combat, and overall asshole nords that kill her family and take her keep. The usual.
Strengths: Extreme precision, capability, and power with ice magic, which, combined with her heavy armor, can turn her into a bastion of protection and locking down enemies. Decent knowledge of close hand sword/shield combat. Cant feel cold, is capable as a blacksmith and as a cook of sweets, and has unrelenting resolve. Also pretty intelligent due to years of reading books. Also has a sizeable amount of money that the nords who supported her family gave her in order to honor her family and apologize for their lack of protection.
Weaknesses: Both fire magic and hot temperatures in general can be really useful in wearing her down, if she doesnt have time to cast her ice protection spells on herself she is absolutely mediocre on melee combat. Small size and stature, so overall low physical strength. Terrible long to long-medium range capabilities, she needs to be up close. Also, her Achilles Heel is that, since her bones are basically held together and fortified by magic, if she is affected by some sort of magic nullifying spell, she will be EXTREMELY vulnerable for as long as the spell lasts, as her brittle bone disease will be in full effect again.
