Blue Skooma Co - Roleplay Backstory

The formation of the Aldmeri Dominion gave many Khajiit greater access to Aldmeri lands. Looking for new opportunities, a small band of alchemists and skooma producers from Elsweyr traveled through Valenwood and the Summerset Isles, collecting exotic plants and minerals. Through much trial and error, singed whiskers and stained paws, a new skooma product was created. Using an unlikely (and verrrry secret) ingredient, the team produced a highly refined batch of skooma with a unique bright blue hue.

Under Dominion rule, Skooma is highly illegal which made distribution quite a challenge. To solve this issue, the clan took the unusual step of creating a legitimate business as a front for their skooma dealing. Khajiit are not used to being legitimate or even business like; a fact shown in the rather illegitimate business name "Blue Skooma Company.”

The Khajiit of Elsweyr do not typically value gold, nor to they have a drive to become exceedingly wealthy. Those that do will often leave their homes, becoming outcasts. Such is the way with many Khajiit in the Blue Skooma Company. Realising the value of gold and the many sweet rolls it can be traded for, their ambition is to accumulate wealth for both themselves and their new clan.

Since the Blue Skooma Co’s establishment as a small clan of misfit Khajiit, it has grown into a diverse group characters of and races from all corners of Tamriel, each with their own talents, agendas, and stories to tell.

Forgive this one for not writing this out in a more immersive way, but he is a cat with much to accomplish today! This is to serve as a concise guide to large events thus far in the guild in case you are confused or curious.

Here is some music for you to listen to while you read because Khajiit likes that sort of thing.

Ri'sari tours a moon sugar plantation and shows some of the ingredients to make the new product to a few interested Khajiit. He speaks of his experience in the business and he says that Blue Skooma is safer than normal skooma and should not be illegal. He shows some members a burned down Skooma plantation and tells them that it will be our fate if we do not work as a clan and asks for some to step up to help lead. Few do.

Under advisement from a Bosmer named Aziera, the new clan forms a legal company as a front for illegal operation. The new company holds an opening ceremony, at which Ri'sari reveals the new product and offers sample to all in attendance.

Issues arise as cultures clash within the company. Ri'sari is set in his ways of running things as a Khajiit clan but some "untamed" Khajiit and many "furless ones" cannot understand their way of doing things. This leads to fighting among members of the clan-company about how things should be handled.

There are suspicions of an infiltrator within the company after Qa'Han and Aziera find issue with an order that was placed by J'sarr from Elsweyr. Ri'sari tasks Qa'Han with finding the infiltrator.

Qa'Han rallies many of the clan in a search for the impostor. After much trial and error, it is discovered that the infiltrator is well-versed in illusion magic as he takes on the appearance of Ri'sari to avoid capture. It is clear he was after the blue skooma material shipments, but for who and to what end is not revealed.

Aziera discovers more inconsistencies with the shipping logs. Aziera finds that some of the shipments have not been stolen, but poisoned with a very potent solvent. Due to the unanswered nature of the hunt for the impostor and his bad history with Argonians, Ri'sari hatches a plan to discover if they are to blame.

A fight challenge is held in Khajiit tradition to try and bond the group still torn between clan / company. Rumors of a Dominion infiltrator are voiced by a few after the event.

Ri'sari orders the poison used in the skooma shipment be given to the Argonian skooma cook, Asks-For-Seconds; reasoning that if the Argonian survived that it must not be him because only an Argonian would use poison strong enough to kill an Argonian. He did not consider that Seconds' was a Vampire and no questions are answered.

Seconds is placed in holding.

Ri'sari orders the capture of Qa'Han, also and Argonian in the clan. S'har moves to seize the Argonian before he can catch wind of what's happened.

Asks-For-Seconds escapes holding, killing 3 Khajiit of the clan including one of Ri'sari's favored, Push'tar.

S'har brings a bound Qa'Han to Ri'sari. Ri'sari feigns trust in the Argonian, telling him that he is not to blame but it is not safe for him to stay in the city. A Human named Ansirem is tasked with escorting Qa'Han from the city, but fails to pick up on Ri'sari's Khajiit hints to follow the Argonian. Ansirem returns without the Argonian and S'har is sent to follow Qa'Han as he will surely lead to the source of their problems.

Qa'Han escapes tracking, knowing that he was meant to be followed.

As tensions continue to rise within the clan with spies, missing shipments, and culture clash, Ri'sari orders a clan trial in Khajiit tradition hoping to convert everyone to his way of thinking. "Furless" ones prove themselves resourceful as victors and this surprises Ri'sari.

Ahnyamar and S'har track down Asks-For-Seconds. Ri'sari suspects another Skooma dealer is behind the missing shipments even more when the Argonian speaks of someone he met that mentioned skooma production. Asks-For-Seconds is told he must bring this person to Ri'sari or they will not be so kind next time they hunt him down.

Things come to a head when a party is held in honor of a new contract that the front-company signs with corrupt Dominion officials. The guest of honor arrives and is very clearly a Thalmor investigator (Name needed). The Thalmor threatens to having been behind the shipment disruptions and threatens that things will only get worse if he is not given 30% of all profits. Ri'sari is enraged at the circumstance and the Khajiit poison him and toss him off the second story of a building in broad view.

Ri'sari accepts that his effort to enforce clan rules in this strange land is not effective. Now having assaulted Thalmor in the open, he knows harder times are ahead and they cannot afford to be divided. He speaks with several members of the company to formalize their positions in company fashion by contract.

Ch 1.

Even though this one arrived at the warehouse in Vulkhel Guard early, he could tell that something was… different about the air. It smelled funny. Something hung in the air. And whatever it was, it was causing a flurry of activity in our warehouse.

The Blue Skooma Co., while not known for its dubious ways, had structure and honor among its members – something this one valued. We know how to work hard, but we also take time to play hard. This one knew that playtime would have to wait, for as soon as he entered the main warehouse door…

“Ah, you must be Ebongale. We have not had the chance to meet. You may call this one “Mr. Stabbykins”.

Another manager. This one must remember to ask him about his name later.

“Well met… “Mr. Stabbykins”. What’s going on?”

A question soon answered.

“Everyone, gather around the table. Quickly.”

That has to be S’har… So many of the officers in one place. This doesn’t happen often.

This one quickly made his way around a small, wooden table. Maps, ledgers, and sketches of various Argonian and Khajiit people littered the maple furniture.

“As some of you may know,” S’har began, “Some of our scaled… friends went rogue last night. Our location has been compromised. This warehouse needs to be packed up and moved immediately.”

A murmur rippled throughout the crowd. Some of the officers had pained expressions, as if they knew more than they were letting on. This one didn’t press the matter – he would be briefed post-mortem. Now was not the time for questions.

“All of the material in this warehouse needs to be transported to our new location in Reaper’s March…”

Reaper’s March? But that’s all the way in Elsweyr! Then again, with the Wayshrine mere feet from the warehouse…

“S’har, a Question.” A Khajiit voice popped up from the back of the crowd.

“Speak.”

“Why do we not simply use the Wayshrines?”

“This one has reason to believe the Wayshrines have been compromised.”

Another murmur in the crowd. Dark magic powerful enough to effect a Wayshrine… who would… no, who could do such a thing?

Our informant in the Mage’s Guild has made mention that someone may be attempting to reroute the Vulkhel Guard Wayshrine to a different exit for members of the Blue Skooma Co. The… uniqueness of our blend makes it extremely valuable, but also stands as a signature of sorts. Other men and mer could use it without issue. But, one of us…”

The thought of someone tampering with the Wayshrines makes me shiver a bit. Perhaps I should be more questioning with things I use daily.

“Therefore,” S’har continued, “we are going to take a different approach. If you own a steed, we have crates that need to be transported. Take one or two and tie them to your mount. If you are on foot, you will be serving as guard – you will walk with the caravan and assist however you can.”

“But Reaper’s March is at least a month’s journey on foot!”

S’har smiled. “And that is the genius of our plan. Just because Vulkhel Guard’s Wayshrine is compromised… well, that doesn’t mean others are. We will simply choose a new entry point.”

S’har reached down and unfurled a map. Obvious scribbles and tactics were drawn and scratched out. But one set of instructions, bearing the approval of Ri’sari himself, stood out among the rest.

“The more remote the Wayshrine, the more likely our enemies have control. So, we’re going to walk straight into Skywatch and use the one there. We will leave Vulkhel Guard posing as a trade caravan. It’s a half-day’s journey to Skywatch. Since it’s a major thoroughfare, there are mages who monitor it day and night for… “tampering”.

It was true that this was no time for questions. This was a time for action. But one tiny detail seemed to be unanswered.

“S’har, getting through the Wayshrine is all well and good for this one and his fellow associates… but what of our cargo? How do you plan on moving our merchandise? Will we load a ship bound for Elsweyr?”

S’har smiled sinisterly.

“Easy, Ebongale. We take it all through the Wayshrine with us.”

End Ch. 1

(PART 2)
http://blueskooma.co/rp-event-recap/on-the-move-2/

Admittedly not much is known about the Wayshrine network. Men and mer can approach the wayshrine and, upon placing their hand on it, will instantly travel to any location they’ve previously been. There are some who have claimed that the Wayshrines serve a different, more sinister purpose, but they are dismissed as crackpots and naysayers. Who would argue with magic so useful, no? After all, travel between the Wayshrines makes the world of Tamriel small. But, even the greatest magic has limitations. Rules, even. And the great thing about rules: they can be bent. They can be broken.

After hearing S’har’s plan, the room erupted into a series of emotional reactions. A few laughed out loud in disbelief; most talked excitedly and unbelieving amongst themselves. A few stood, processing the plan through. This one, however, was not nearly as tactful.

“This one must not have heard you correctly,” this one remarked in half-jest. “Ebongale could have sworn you said we were taking the cargo through the Wayshrine”.

“Your ears do not deceive you, Ebongale. That is indeed what S’har said”. S’har was unwavering in his stance.

“You said yourself that Mages from the Guild watch over the Wayshrine…”

“Ah, but that is the beauty of this plan. S’har did indeed say that, but the nice thing about something being observed by men…”

S’har smiled sinisterly.

“… is that men can be bought.”

===

This one had been tasked with making sure the nooks and crannies of the Vulkhel Guard warehouse had been cleaned. Ledgers, books, notes, vials… all were hurriedly (but carefully) packed into crates and barrels to be carried in the caravan. Under the floorboard on the left side racks… behind the screen in the back… under the table… all of the favorite hiding spots were cleaned out.

The final preparations were made. Ebongale quickly hurried from member to member, checking off their boxes and barrels (this one, as it turns out, is just as handy with a pen and paper as he is with a sword and shield). The final list checked, This one made his way to S’har at the head of the caravan.

“All preparations complete. The warehouse has been scrubbed”

“Ah, excellent.”

S’har whistled and motioned his hand in a grand gesture.

“Let’s Move!”

It was a good half-day’s journey to Skywatch from Vulkhel Guard. Our company had been outfitted with proper paperwork, in case any enforcement units came around, to look like a simple merchants caravan. With the recent storms at Khenarthi’s Roost, it would be easy to pass word that a ship had been wrecked, and that our journey would have to be continued on foot. The path was straight – through the plans north of town, skirting the ruins at Ondil, and up through the midlands, finally heading east to Skywatch. Reports from our scouts were clear, with only a small altercation at Ondil worth mentioning. This one hoped that it were indeed the case.

===

Nightfall was fast approaching, and the sun was dipping over the western horizon as we made our final leg of the journey into Skywatch.

“Hold!”

S’har held up his paw, and the caravan slowly assembled into a stopped position.

“Ebongale! Do’Maadrul! Scout ahead. We must make sure the distraction this one has set in place is working.”

Distraction…?

This one saluted S’har.

“Consider it done.”

Do’Maadrul and this one made haste toward the city perimeter. We had just reached the outer stairwell when -

AWWWWOOOOOOOO!!!!

Ebongale looked at Do’Maadrul, who returned the look. Only one thing in Tamriel made that sound…

“If this is S’har’s distraction…”

It was indeed working. Guards were heading away from the Wayshrine in droves, looking for the lycanthrope. Our caravan would be able to slip in undetected if this could be sustained for a few more minutes.

S’har and the rest pulled up to the outskirts as Do’Maadrul and this one returned.

“Your… distraction… seems to be working as planned, S’har.”

“Very good. OK! Everyone to the Wayshrine. Grab your cargo, and head to Reaper’s March. We will return for the horses later.”

This one stayed behind, counting both men and mer, crate and barrel as they disappeared in a flash through the Wayshrine. Whatever S’har had done, it was working perfectly.

The impossible had been done. An entire caravan had walked, undetected, into Skywatch. We had used a Wayshrine to transport mass amounts of cargo to our new storage location in Reaper’s March. And a werewolf had been the cause of distraction to get it all done.

This one simply shook his head in disbelief – if he’d not been around to see it, there’s no way he would believe a tale as outrageous as this.

But… when one throws his chips in with the Blue Skooma Co… stories like this seems fairly normal.

Right of Claim Cermony in Grahtwood - Anira Serin & Dro'Maadrul

Anira Serinn wrote
Anira would like to ask for the assistance of the clan/company in a matter of utmost importance to her. Do'Maadrul and this one have been talking much lately. and Anira wants to make her "Right of Claim" official. To do this she needs at least 5 witnesses who honor and accept Khaji'ti traditions. Of these 5 at least 2 must be female, would like to request one of the females be a manager if possible. As is customary all within the clan are welcome to attend, be they Khaji'it or one of the clan/company brethren. If it would be possible Do'Maadrul and Anira would like to hold the ceremony near the roots of the Elden Root Tree this coming weekend when most would likely be able to attend. There is a waterfall there that is very special to these two.

(( for those who are not familiar with the "Right of Claim" you can read about it here. Most of it was taken from various pieces of lore througout the the TES universe with a bit of filling of the blanks/elaboration from forum based TES RP sites. Please post below if you would be interested in attending, or being a witness ))

Mo'jahi Ice-EyeJun 02, 2014
Jun 02, 2014 at 01:08 PM #7
Mo'jahi Ice-Eye had been tasked to bring back the shipment of moon sugar and other supplies from the harbor in Kenarthi's Roost to the guild warehouse in Skywatch. He had been given the title of captain of the ship for this mission. Several other guild members of varying ranks were present to help with the mission including Sylvaswift, John Wolf, Sahlaa Ra'Shabar and Do'Maadrul.

Stepping up to the Captain's Platform, Mo'jahi looked on deck to see all those gathered and felt like this day was a good day.

"Mo'jahi has recruited you all to help with the transportation of this precious cargo to our warehouse in Skywatch. As the shipment is already delayed it is best to move quickly and get it shipped as fast as possible so Ri'sari will not be too displeased. So let us commence and begin preparations for the voyage. Could the Sellswords among you guard the dock so no one comes aboard without this one's permission. "

John Wolf and an unfamiliar Altmer by the name of Hiruniro went on the dock to guard the ship. Mo'jahi frowned briefly at the unfamiliar face but soon forgot completely about it. A couple minutes went by. Just wanting to be sure everything was in good condition, Mo'jahi gave another order.

"Sylvaswift, check the cargo to make sure it is in good condition."

He then waited for the report and continued looking over as the others continued the preparations. A couple minutes later, Sylvaswift returned from below deck after having inspected the state of the cargo.

"Umm, Captain, there is a slight issue with some of the wares." came the report from Sylvaswift.

"What is the problem?"

"Well, some of the crates seem to have been infested and gone bad."

"Drokara j'o Khia'dar an Kahll." Mo'jahi mutters under his breath, infuriated by the further delay and difficulties that this new issue would bring. ((These words are made up, Mo'jahi is swearing in some unknown tongue.))

"All of you, don't just stand there! Do something, just throw all of the infested crates overboard!"

The rest of the crew moved into action. Crates that were infested were chucked into the waters behind the ship. Luckily only a small portion of the crates were infested but that was still a lot of crates to get rid of.

The work was mostly done when sounds of commotion were heard from the dock where Hiruniro and Wolf were standing guard. A tall Altmer Inspector and his guard had approached and were trying to board the ship. The captain came down unto the docks to check what all the commotion was about.

"Get out of my way, I am a Thalmor Inspector and I have to inspect the cargo of this ship."

"There is not entry on board of this ship without the Captain's permission." came the reply from John Wolf.

"Fine then, I can come back with the documents that allow me to seize this ship if you are going to be that way."

"What is the problem here?" demanded Mo'jahi Ice-Eye when he came up to the arguing mer.

"Ah, am I right in assuming that you are the Captain of this vessel?"

"This one is."

"I have come to inspect the cargo of this ship, it may not leave until that has been taken care of."

"Alright, then this one gives you permission to come on board the ship." Mo'jahi turns around and quickly jogs back on board. "Everyone listen quickly, a Thalmor Inspector is coming on board so please stop all suspicious activity immediately and act naturally and normal!"

The words are uttered at precisely the right volume so everyone on board can here him, and the approaching Inspector cannot. The Captain then turns around to face the oncoming Inspector. "Welcome on board Inspector, this one can give you a tour of our hold and cargo if you want him to."

The Thalmor Inspector steps on the ship carefully, a bit unsure of his step. He then looks around, grimacing at the presence of so many Khajiit in one place. How one of these creatures managed to attain Captaincy of this ship is a wonder in itself, he thought to himself. "Well then lead on Captain."

Mo'jahi Ice-Eye, the appointed captain of this vessel for the duration of the trip, showed the Thalmor Inspector around, bringing him beneath the deck and opening a couple of crates of moon sugar for the Inspector to see.

"These are all legitimate wares, this one is bringing to Skywatch to trade to the Khajiit who reside on Auridon. You know, a Khajiit meal is not a meal without moon sugar."

"So, where are the other wares?" The Inspector interjected in an interrogating manner.

"This is the only thing we are shipping."

"I don't believe you. You are lying and if you don't tell me, I will come back with a search warrant and a contingent of Dominion Soldiers."

"Trust this ja'Khajiit Inspector, the moon sugar is the only thing this ship is transporting."

"I know you are lying so stop. If you come to my office soon, confess, and tell me the whole truth, you will not be charged Captain. You will be free to leave."

"This ship is onl....."

"You heard me, I will be back. You have one hour to make up your mind." With those words, the Thalmor Inspector rushed of the ship, with his guard following behind. He then goes back to his office in Mistral, awaiting to see what the ignorant Khajiit Captain would do.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

It took awhile for Mo'jahi to make up his mind. He had considered just sailing off, leaving Kenarthi's Roost behind but that would only get them into more trouble. In the end he decided to meet again with this Inspector, seeing if he could talk some sense into him.

Mo'jahi Ice-Eye turned around to the crew awaiting his decision. "This one will go and meet with this inspector to see if he can put some reason back into his mind, there are only legal substances and Mo'jahi will make the Inspector see. However he might need help, is there anyone among you who would step up to this task?".

QA'HAN'S COUP

Gnarlus wrote
Qa'han stood on the box, looking down at the merchants he called to the warehouse. He loudly cleared his throat, call for the attention of everyone in the room. Clears his throat, calling for everyone's attention.

“Now this one knows that you wonder why Qa'han has called you all here tonight, but he wishes that you all hold your questions until this one is finished.” He removes some parchment from the hidden pouch in his vest and begins handing them out. "You have all been called here today because in one way or another, you have proven your worth to Qa'han in one way or another, and have earned his trust."

Upon finishing handing out the papers, and turns towards the group and opens his arms in welcome. "And he would like to thank you for your attendance. We have much to go over, but first it would do us well to introduce ourselves to each other."

After everyone had introduced themselves, Qa’han continues “And this one is Qa'han Sandscales. Senior Broker of the Commune of Merchants and the one you shall report to for instructions. Now, before we continue, the contents of this meeting shall remain between the ones in this room. None outside this circle shall hear of what is to be discussed. Nod if you understand.”

A silent nod comes from everyone in the room.

“Ok. This one will keep it short. The path Ri'sari takes us down is not a profitable venture. Ever since the company has started, we have been losing coin. None of us has yet to see a single coin from our dealings, and Ri'sari deductions from this one keeps him from paying you himself.” Qa’han announces “That is why this one has called you all here: a new venture. A more profitable venture then Skooma, and a more legal venture aswell. Tell this one, what is occuring right now?”

Everyone at once raises their voices “The war.”

“That is right, the war. A pointless bloodshed for control of Cyrodiil. Now, this one hates the bloodshed, but as you may know, like it or not, we have all in one way or another been branded as being part of the Dominion.” He refers to the Parchment he handed out. “That’s why we will now be providing essential supplies, armor, and healing wares to the Dominion.”

Do’maatrul raises his hand. “Excuse me, but would it not be more profitable if we also supply weapons and siege weapons."

Qa’han hisses “We shall not contribute to the bloodshed, only protect.” Qa’han quickly regains his composure, shaking his head. “If you would read the contract this one has handed out, it expresses weapons maybe discussed at a later time.”

Milo Hilltop raises his hand next. "Excuse me sir, but does that mean we are completed cutting ourselves off from the production of Skooma." a number a voices rose, asking the same question. Qa'han coughed loudly, and the room grow quiet again.

"We aren't cutting ourselves off from production of the product, but this one intends to cut something off." he announces. "Ri'sari will know nothing of this venture. Everything we earn will be pure profit, with no deductions."

The warehouse went dead. The only thing that could be heard was the rats scurrying beneath the floor boards. After a minute, the merchants begin whispering amongst each other. "I wonder how long Qa'han will live." "Ri'sari will be making shoes from his hide." "This must be a joke."

Another cough from Qa'han confirmed he was not joking. "This one asks you all, since you have joined the company, how much have you earned”

Many voices answer. “Nothing” “Not a Coin” “I’ve actually lost money”

Qa’han nods. “And how much work have you done.”

“Tons.” “I haven’t had a break yet.” “What’s a break.”

“Up until now you have worked hard, risked yourselves capital punishment, for no return. This one says It’s about time we make some return.” Qa’han announces. “But if we are to make any coin, we must keep this venture from Ri’sari. Does this one make himself clear.” A number of voices agree. “Then are you with Qa’han.” More cheers. “Then its time to make some coin. Mo’jiha Ice-Eyes, as much as he is radical at times, will be overseeing the Skooma Production, making sure no time is lost. Meanwhile, this one will send an order Manifest to each of you, its first comes, first serves on profits.”

DEATH OF QA'HAN

Gnarlus wrote
Qa'han jumped in the water in shock. Last thing he recalled was peaking out from under the awning and seeing a fireball heading straight at the boat. At which time his natural Shadowscale instinct and he jumped in the water. Manalical laughter came from the dock, Ri'sari's laughter.

"Swim lizard." he heard from beside him. He didn't take time to look as another fireball hit the boat, and he dived under the waves.
He only reemerged only when he reached the shore. He breathed heavily, looking back out at the dock, and keeping low. The boat was at burning in the harbor, fireballs could still be seen coming from the dock, hitting the boat.

"It seems we both have a common enemy now." Qa'han heard from behind. Instincts took hold again, and Qa'han wielded Twin-Catch and twirled around, pointing both prongs at the Khajiit's at the neck.

"Who are you Khajiit." Qa'han hissed, poking his twin prong dagger foward as to poke the fur.

"Relax, Ra'zacc is a friend of now." The Khajiit said.

Qa'han thought for a moment. He recognized the Khajiit now. He was helping load the ship with Qa'han, and was still on the boat when Ri'sari attack. Qa'han nodded at the his new ally. "Qa'han is going to get closer. Come if you wish."

The Khajiit nodded and wadded into the water after Qa'han. The pair dived into the water, and came up under the dock. However, Ri'sari was gone already gone. "What do we do now?" Ra'zacc whispered.

Qa'han didn't have time to answer as he heard a splash, and seen a former member, Mereneth treading water. Qa'han swore, and pushed Ra'zacc head underwater and dragged him to the land where Mo'jahi Ice-Eyes waited. "What happened?" he asks bluntly.
"Ri'sari attack Argonian for attempting to make his own profit." he hissed. He then turns to Ra'zacc. "This one was on the boat when Ri'sari murdered Qa'han."

"Murdered Qa'han?" the two said.

Qa'han nods at the two. "You seen the flames. Qa'han is dead." and with that statement, Qa'han's expression changed completely. The mischevious gleam in his eyes was suddenly replaced by a stern, serious glare. The Khajiiti lisp in his disappears and is replaced by a traditional Argonian rasp. "It is clear Ri'sari befouls the waters, and that the taint must be removed for waters to start healing." He says. He looks at the two Khajiit. "I won't order you to follow a stranger, but I will ask for your allegiance. Ice-Eyes, as chaotic as your actions are, you would be a valuable ally against one equally as chaotic." he turns to Ra'zacc. "As for you, I would like you to join Ri'sari's circle, and send information to me. I need to learn of those who doubt Ri'sari's leadership, and earn their loyality and trust."

The two nod at the Argonian, both wondering weither the Argonian was acting the whole time, or if this Argonian was the act. As Ice-Eyes begins to walk away, Ra'zacc steps up and places a hand of the Argonian's shoulder and simply says "You have Ra'zacc's loyality." he says, and as he walks away, he pockets the Argonian's Dagger in his bag.

Alone, the now nameless Argonian returned to his private tower. The Argonian reached for Twin-Catch, just to find it missing. Swearing to himself, he instead takes a Dagger from his desk and locks door to the Tower. Carefully, he scrapes his scale, and dried sand sprinkles to the ground. With another three scrapes the single scale is fully released from the sand, revealing a pitch black scale underneath. The Argonian then begins on he next scale, and then the next. One by One, each individual scale on the Argonian's body was carefully freed from the sand until the Argonian was no longer a muddy brown, but instead as black as a shadow.

Next, the Argonian took a firm grasp of one of the feathers grafted to the scales on his head. He took a deep breath, pulled. Instantly pain set in as the feather tore from the scales. He barred his teeth, took a another deep breath, took ahold of the next feaher and yanked, tearing it free. Like a chicken at the slaughter house, the feathers from the Lizard's head was plucked one by one until the feathers were gone and revealed what they hid: a magnificent set of horns.

The Argonian walked up to the mirror and eyed himself closely. From the brown sandy Lizard to a Pitch Black Scaled Shadowscale, what he was originally destined to be. An assassin, and a good one. One final piece remained. He took his claw and dug it under the sapphire attached to his for head. With a swift flick, it popped off, revealing 5 horns underneath. He was now a new Argonian. Taking the feathers and the sapphire, he walks to his shelf where a glass case sits. He opens the case and gently places the feathers and gem on the cushion. Before he closing it, he lets loose a single tear, which falls into the case and onto the feathers. Perhaps one day, Qa'han could return from the dead. For now, for the sake of his clan, he should remain dead to all but those who follow him.

He already learned from Rune-Claw, a Shadowscale battlemage who joined his caravan in Black Marsh as a Bodyguard a lot about being a true Shadowscale. The handsigns, the tactics, etc, but he never had to put them into full use other the for mischief. Wonder whatever became of him. He used to called me Rune-Tail, from my fascination in enchanting.

Rune-Tail. A perfect name. Qa'han might have been died, but a new Argonian has taken his place: Rune-Tail the Shadowscale. And soon, as rough as the waves on ocean, he will bring the full force of a tidal wave to he who threatens him, his friends and his adopted family: Ri'sari.

Ra'zacc has decided to join Qa'Han. Ri'sari is no friend of his. He tried to have this one killed.

Qa'Han has tasked Ra'zacc with infiltrating Ri'sari's side as a potential spy. This one decided to... borrow Qa'Han's knife and fabricate a story that shall endear Ra'zacc to Ri'sari himself. This one will tell him that Qa'Han is slain.

RI'SAARI RAISES COIN

Ri'sari did his best to hide his shattered emotions as he addressed his few remaining followers. Sylvaswift however could see his faintly furrowed brow and that he licked his lips excessively, Ri'sari was deeply troubled.

"We have tried the way of the Mer, and look where it has got us," he said boldly. "This one is tired of these lands and had decided to return to Reapers March, there we will form a clan. This one has no more gold to offer you, the Company is no. Who is with me?"

In his eagerness to prove his faithfulness Sylvaswift was the first to reply,"This one will follow you..." and because he did not want Ri'sari to believe he was the master of his own decisions, he added "for now."

All of the few that had followed Ri'sari and Kiraya to the beach agreed to follow Ri'sari and travel with him to Reaper's March and the next order of business was to raise coin for the passage. Ri'sari instructed Ja'kasim, the leader of the Silver-Tongues, to raid all the hidden caches of Blue Skooma, the last remaining bottles.

Ja'kasim selected those he could trust and left to comply with Ri'sari's request. Ri'sari took a moment to sit and rest beside Kiraya under a small tree in the Ruins.

He turned to her and addressed her in perhaps the softest way he ever spoken to her, or anyone.

"This one thinks you will get your wish, the Clan Mother will not let us form unless Khajiit is mated with you. What do you think of this idea." Kiraya was overjoyed and emotional.

"You do not know how happy it makes this one to hear you say these words. I will make you so happy, I promise."

Ri'sari allowed her to hug him tightly and Sylvaswift noticed a subtle softening of his usually fierce features.

The happy couple were almost immediately interupted by a Khajiit stranger, he named himself Ra'saac and claimed to have killed Qa'han, he even produced Qa'han's knife, the one he treasured and even named 'Twin-Blade' .

Sylvaswift was extremely distrustful of the stranger and spoke out firmly, "This one would require more proof than a simply knife. Bah, Qa'han could have dropped it or perhaps it fell from his body when your set him and the boat aflame. No body has been found, this one assumes, he is not dead until he is otherwise proven wrong."

Ri'sari examined the knife closely, he knew the knife, indeed it was Qa'hans. He said no more except to give leave to Ra'sacc, Sylvawift noted that he kept the knife and did not give it back to the white Khajiit.

A few hours passed and Ja'kasim and his assistants returned with the Blue Skooma, there were several cases and it was offerered in exchange for coin. Ri'sari informed those gathered that everyone that traveled to Reaper's March would have to pay their own way. Some came forward and exchanged coin for a few bottle of Skooma and some left re-thinking their origninal choice to follow Ri'sari. At this point Ri'sari displayed an unusual amount of distress and removed himself to a far corner of the cave they had moved the camp into. Ra'sacc did not even hesitate and followed Ri'sari, sensing trouble Sylvaswift slunk into the shadows and edged closer to hear the conversation or protect Ri'sari should Ra'sacc made an attempt on his life. Ri'sari had been made vunerable and no longer had the protection he had once had.

Kiraya entered quietly and to her credit spotted Sylvaswift in the shadows, but she alerted no-one to his presence.

ESTABLISHING THE NEW MERCHANTS

Dear Sylvaswift,

I thought this may have been of interest to you, since when we last talked you spoke of your current dealings an Argonian by the name of Qa'han.

I witnessed a band merchants meeting in the .............. Tavern at ............. . An Argonian called Rune-Tail addressed a gathered crowd of what I think were merchants. The name, Qa'han, was spoken many times.

The first order of business appeared to be the formation of a new company. There was much arguing over the new name but nothing was decided.

The Broken Bottle was the most popular, but other suggestions included .................................. & .................................

This is all I overheard, I dont know whether this is of interest to you.

Yours truly,
Kálistia

QAÍIT ADDRESSES THE SELLSWORDS

Ky'ora, shadowed the pale mer female once she left the Skywatch Lighthouse. She waited patiently for the moment in which should could obtain the information the investigator has gained at the meeting of the Swords. She had watched from the rafters as 'Mary' had scribbled notes, Ky'ora wanted those notes.

At last the moment came when the Templar dismounted her horse to speak with the Auridon Guards. In a silent sprint Ky'ora postition herself next the the Mer's horse and removed the parchment from her saddle bags.

Mission successful Ky'ora smiled as she silently sped away to deliver the paper to Sylvaswift. Of course she had to read it first and at the first opportune time she unrolled the note and read it words slowly.

I attended the meeting in Skywatch and this is my report :

* A Large Khajiit whose name is Qaíit, a warrior, addressed the Mercenary Arm of the Blue Skooma Company. He told those there that the Company was no more and the Khajiit, Ri'sari is moving to Reaper's March.
* With much sadness the warrior told those that followed him, he was no longer their Commander. He believed he had failed them in some way. Perhaps he was referring the the incident in Khenarthi's Roost?
*I was unable to learn anything else except some have returned to the previous lives and some will join Ri'sari in Reaper's March.
Findings
*I believe the Company no longer operates in Skywatch and has gone underground for now.
* I am still unable to connect Ri'sari to the murder of the Inspector.
* I will head to Reaper's March and see what else I can find.

Yours in service to the Dominion,
Charaziel.

MEETING WITH THE CLAN MOTHER

The would be clan climbed the stone steps at the Clan Mothers Temple, the Goblin Gnarlus in tow. Sylvaswift snarled at him when he got close. He had learned earlier when meeting with Sahlaa, that Qa'han had crafted the dagger the goblin won the contest with. Sahlaa was suspicious of the goblin the moment he turned up with John Wolf, he stated that John Wolf was not the type to be the master of anything, he was grumpy but more honorable. Sylvaswift didnt know much about the one called John Wolf and so believed that Sahlaa could be right. Nevertheless, the dagger was definitely the workmanship of Qa'han. Freshly forged, meant that Qa'han still was alive.

Ri'sari was not unwise and warned those that followed him that there may be trouble when he met with the Clan Mother, it wasnt long before he was shown to be correct.

Ri'sari greeted the Clan Mother with all the airs and graces of a noble Imperial.

If Ri'sari fails as a Clan Leader he definitely had a future as an actor Sylvaswift. mused.

The Clan Mother ask some of those questions in regard to what they thought it was to be a clan and the answer's displeased her. The the Gnarlus stepped forward and told the Clan Mother of Ri'sari's acts against Qa'han in Skywatch and Sylvaswift knew that Ri'sari would not be made Clan Leader. Ri'sari's temper rose rapidly and when the Clan Mother announced that he would not be Clan Leader he exploded in anger and rushed forward holding a knife to her throat.

"I will be Clan Leader one way or another," he stated venomously. Right then everyone, except Sylvaswift who had snuck up behind Gnarlus ready to strike him down and be rid of him and his interference, turned on Ri'sari - even Kiraya. No matter what Sylvaswift had set his resolve to follow this Ri'sari no matter where it leaded. He feared greatly for the Clan Mother's life but he pushed it to the back of his mind and focused on the task he had set himself.

Seeing everyone had turned against him Ri'sari backed down. He had lost, big-time. Sylvaswift saw his shoulders slouch in defeat, he face was shadowed by something Sylvaswift had not witnessed before, was it fear?

Ri'sari left and Sylvaswift followed and surprisingly so did some of those who had just turned on him.

The Clan Mother's words rang out at their backs. "I will let a clan be formed but only if another Leader comes forth."

The group formed at the bottom of the stone steps, Ri'sari was dejected but was not done yet. He asked those of us who would stand in his place, who would be clan leader but still allow Ri'sari lead from the shadows. Sylvaswift saw his chance and seized it.

"This one will do this thing you ask," he said as he stepped forward and bowed. They were interupted by the sound of voices and they turned to see the Clan Mother and the others following her down the steps towards them.

"Another has stepped forward to lead the clan, " she announced auspiciously. "Is there any that would challenge his leadership?"
Sylvaswifts jaw dropped as he stepped forward to challenge this new Clan Leader; it was an Argonian one who claimed to know Qa'han. Sylvaswift's became enraged how could a lizard be considered to lead a Khajiit Clan, it was ridiculous but here was the Clan Mother ready to hand over this without so much as a wince Something was wrong, very, very wrong and Sylvaswift began to fume.

"I put myself forward to challenge this, lizard, for the leadership of the clan he cares nothing for others or this clan, he is motivated by the love of coin."

"Both of you, state your cases."

"This one has traveled far with these people and he will not see them left leaderless and lost. These ones seek to live in this land having tasted life with the Mer and rejected it. This one will gladly put himself forward to serve these ones as their leader." he finessed with a distinguished bow.

The Clan Mother remained expressionless and the Argonian took his turn.

He went on to tell the story of Qa'han and the brutal acts of Ri'sari against him, convenietly leaving out that it was Qa'hans associate that had cause all the trouble in the company in the first place by not killing one but two in a fit of rage and Sylvaswift forced himself not to yawn. He conveniently left out the part about stabbing Ri'sari in the back by coercing the Merchants away from Ri'sari.

When he finished the Clan Mother asked for a show of hands that supported Sylvaswift, only a few were raised, when it was the time for those to show who supported Qa'han many, many more pledged their allegiance. Sylvaswift had lost, he spat out his fury onto the ground.

"This is a farce, even the blind could see it is. This one leaves now, he is tired of games and politics. All that still wishes to follow Sylvaswift, come with him now." He turned angrily and strode down the path searching ahead for Ri'sari in vain. He growled, Sylvaswift did not like to fail.

They rounded the bend and spotted Ri'sari and Kiraya up ahead, and walked up to meet them. Sylvaswift told Ri'sari he had lost and he witnessed the last of Ri'sari's resolve vanish.

Sylvaswift blurted, "We have no need of approval, why do we even need a clan, we can make our own clan and live by our own rules."

Ri'sari held up his paw and shook his head, "No, I would not have these ones live like Barbarian's."

Sylvaswift tried to argue his point but Ri'sari stayed firm.

"You all must go back to the clan, get yourself back in and undermine Qa'han at every chance you get, make him see that leading a clan is not as fun as perhaps he first though. Do this and then find me."

"Find you? Where are you going?"

Ri'sari turned and didn't answer, Kiraya went to follow him and he stopped her, he told her to go with us he did not want her with him. She begged him but he did not relent, instead he walked off into the ruins leaving her beside herself with grief.

Sylvaswift was moved by the scene and walked over to her and place a hand on her shoulder. "This one will stand in Ri'sari's place and see that no harm will come to you and the young one you carry. Sylvaswift swears this to you. Come with this one."

Hesitantly Kiraya turned and followed them, but she was sick with grief and Sylvaswift worried for her. He pushed his own grief way down deep and desperately fought to find a path back towards his goal. Everything had gone terribly wrong, and if it could not be remedied it meant Sylvaswift had failed. This meant that Sylvaswift would die, he lived by the code that failure meant to die so there could be no failure.

He called those few remaining to rest for the night beneath a tree, he needed time to think, to gather his thoughts and plan the next steps. Kazzah, Maddisynn, Vinavia and Kiraya & Ri'sari's unborn cub, were the only ones that camped there that night. That was all that was left of Ri'sari's faithful, his true clan.

RI'SARI'S NEW PLAN & THE REMOVAL OF QA'HAN

Roleplay Events Recap written by Qa'Han.

In an act of revenge, Ri'sari takes the Clan Mother hostage, demanding Qa'han's leadership revoked and that he be placed in charge. At first, the Clan Mother refused, but through a series of threats and lies, she submits, and calls "The Merchants Clan" to her. Still a hostage of Ri'sari, the Clan Mother declares there had been a terrible accident in her decision to make Qa'han leader, and that Ri'sari was meant to lead. Qa'han objects, saying that it was not her decision in the first place as she left the choice to that of the clan, but her decision stayed firm. Qa'han then demanded the Clan Mother be released, but in reaction, Ri'sari ordered the her tail be removed.
Seeing Ri'sari commit such a mutilation upon a Clan Mother, Qa'han orders those loyal to him to rescue her. However, when he saw the Sugar-Claw clan barricade themselves in a mansion and a large battle happening out front, Qa'han orders a ceasefire, stating the whole town would be destroyed.
Ri'sari leads the newly formed Sugar-ClawClan out of the Mansion, Clan Mother at dagger point. Knowing the Mane would not stand for such actions, they move there Clan to Woodhearth.
Meanwhile Qa'han calls to those loyal to them and forms the Merchants of the Broken Bottle (The Broken for Short). And travels to Woodhearth, where Qa'han had already established a headquarters.
Now living in the same city, The Broken and Sugar-Claws have to learn to coincide together despite their differences.
On Thursday, a Fight Pit was held at Woodhearth Docks. While many fighters attends, it was Qa'iit's victory over Slyvaswift that declared him the champion of the Sugar-Claws.

- Kazzah & Sylvaswift were named "Favoured" and presented with armour."

- Ra'zacc was discovered somehow as a spy and not a true follower of Ri'sari's , Ri'sari battled Razacc and Ri'sari was nearly bested, but in a life saving maneuver he stabbed Ra'zacc in the guts with his dagger. Ra'zacc fled and Ri'sari stopped those who would give chase to leave him go.

- Kazzah & Vinavia went out on their own on a spying mission, Kazzah was captured by Hel and Do and injured. He overheard something before he was found. He hasnt fully reported that finding yet.

- Jaruan of the Silver Order approaches Ri'sari and offers to help pay off officials in the city for a fee, though Ri'sari refuses, but lets it be known he may require his help at another time. He then sends a representative to Qa'han, requesting for him and he meet about Ri'sari and possible future happenings.

- Upon learning of Ri’sari’s attempts against the supply shipment, Qa’han and small band of new employees set out to investigate sightings of Ri’sari around town. They locate him just at the bridge heading to the dock, speaking amongst each other. Qa’han, Do’maadrul and J’vani all recognized one of the voices that spoke to Ri’sari as Ansaari, a crazy cat in the Merchants who enjoys throwing peanuts. They conclude she must be one of the spies.

- Qa'han approaches Do'maadrul, Ra'zacc and Felarain about joining him to meet with the Silver Order.

- Now, while Qa’han finalizes plans with the Silver Order, he leaves J’vani in charge of taking care of the spy within his ranks, unaware that the one he truly must be aware of is Do'maadrul.

PEACE AT A HUGE COST

Gnarlus wrote
-In an attempt to regain his composure from his experience with death, Gnarlus goes to the Five Claws Tavern to conduct his own investigations on where the Clan Mother was being held. There, he met with Kazzah, on of Ri'sari's favored (though he was unaware) and attempted to get him drunk enough to tell the Clan Mother's location. While his natural Goblin Resistance to Poison allowed Gnarlus to drink Kazzah out, he still forgot much of what happened that night.

-Rune-Tail takes Do'maadrul, J'vani and Gnarlus to meet the leader of the Silver Order, Juraun, and three of his order. Both sides proved to be paranoid of each other, whispering to each other, and eyeing each other carefully. While the Silver Order at first offered their services to Broken Bottle Merchants for a modest fee, through using a combined tactics of confusion and trickery, Qa'han learned that the Silver Order had their own agenda, and in truth required their help. He cut off negotiations when Gnarlus learned that there was fifth member of the Silver Order in the tavern, which opposed the original agreement to "Bring only 3 of your own" Qa'han had set forward.

-Using her time acquired from the Auction, Ni'saba instructs Rune-Tail and Ri'sari together to negotiate peace between the feuding sides. As per his plan, Rune-Tail offered a large chest of fake gold in exchange for the Clan Mother, which Ri'sari accepted. However, upon gaining the upper hand in the negotiations, Kazzah takes the Clan Mother Hostage again, and the two sides prepare for battle. Seeing no other way to stop the bloodshed, Rune-Tail takes it upon himself to stab the Clan Mother with Twin-Catch, reasoning that as long as the Clan Mother remained a pawn of Ri'sari, the bloodshed would never end. Upon her dying breath, the Clan Mother names Ni'saba the new Clan Mother, begging her to bring peace and to stop the bloodshed.

-Upon both sides leaving the negotiations, Rune-Tail reveals to Ni'saba the truth: The Clan Mother still lives, and the murder will simply a plot to end the bloodshed. Ni'saba, Rune-Tail and The Clan Mother agree it would be for the best to continue the charade of the murder to keep the fragile peace, and plan a funeral in the following days. To assist in the charade, Ni'saba instructs the two Clans to work together to prepare for it.

-To complete the illusion of the Clan Mother's death, Ni'saba hosts a funeral using a decoy body Rune-Tail prepared. During the funeral, Sylvaswift investigates the Manor and discovers the alchemy materials used to create the mixture that converted lead into the gold-like substance. He was unable to find the mixture itself, which Rune-Tail disposed of upon finding the missing materials.

This is after last night’s RP where a LOT happened, but I will recap from Arisel’s POV and keeping it short and sweet I will probably be adding to this as Arisel's story depending on how future RP's play out :) And feel free to let me know what you think, I've never done this before with a character so I'm just winging it a bit lol.

Recap from Arisel's POV:

Starting with the fight… John and Ri’sari got into a fight, ultimately ending with both severely injured. Arisel first went to Ri’sari to check on his wounds, and after he coughed up a furball, she believed he was going to live so she went to tend to John. Being a healer, she feels that it is her duty to save any life possible, whether they deserve it or not i.e. Ri’sari. While healing John, Kazzah Amirikii let loose an arrow that narrowly missed Arisel, causing her to pause in her healing. During this pause no one noticed that Ri’sari had returned, armed and angry. He let loose a fireball that exploded upon hitting John, and injuring those closest to the blast, including Qa’iit. (Here things get a bit fuzzy because there was a bit of confusion, but it looks like Ri’sari is the one who ultimately finishes off John instead of Sylvaswift.)

Arisel, exhausted from healing and arms burned from the blast, became furious at Ri’sari and stormed towards the door after Ri’sari and the other Sugar-Claws had left. Following her was her two new found companions after the botched food theft, Shere’Khaann and Fumo, a prophet of Ganja.

At the bottom of the steps the three was greeted by J’Zhirr the Shagger, who kept stepping in front of Arisel as she tried to march past him. Annoyed, she asked him where Ri’sari went. Several excuses later, Arisel figured that he probably went back to the Five Claws and made her way there quickly. In her anger, she just wanted to punch the black cat and tell him off for killing an already wounded man lying on the ground, but when she got inside the Five Claws, she saw Ri’sari passed out on the floor being healed by the Sugar Claw healers. This put Arisel in a frustrating position. She could either punch a weakened cat who was surrounded by his companions and risk getting herself and her own companions hurt or she could walk away and save it for another day. Already weak and injured herself, she chose to walk away.

Arisel's story cont.

Walking down the steps leading away from the Five Claws, Arisel couldn’t help but kick herself about even trying to help Ri’sari after the brawl earlier. “Why must you always help those in need,” she grumbles to herself. A twinge of pain shoots through her burned hands, making her wince. She knew she had to take care of her burns and to rest otherwise she would pass out from exhaustion in the middle of the street in Woodhearth. She looked around at the empty evening streets and sees her two companions also leaving the Five Claws. She felt guilty about ever dragging them along, and worried that her stubbornness would get Shere and Fumo hurt one of these days.

As her companions approach, she feels her strength fading quickly. “I couldn’t…” she whispers to Shere before the trees above her began to spin wildly and her vision faded to darkness.

Feeling the warmth of the sunlight on her fur, Arisel stirs, feeling bandages on her hands and arms. She opens her sapphire blue eyes and looks around the room, but no one else is around. For now she is alone. She figures that her companions are probably busy after the events that unfolded the night before, but she knows that she will see them soon. Sighing, she knows that she will see Ri’sari soon as well, and Kazzah will be with him. “Why must this one always help,” she murmurs as she sits up in her cot to inspect her arms. “Why is this one so weak, unable to kill?” Her eyes trail from her arms to the other room, where she fought to save John’s life the night before, only to fail and see more injured instead. “This one needs the mind of a killer, ruthless and cruel, to ever change her heart,” she whispers to herself, before getting up from her cot and making her way to the doors of the guild hall to leave.

Ri'sari's Son Arrives From Morrowind

Ri'sari wrote
  • Ri'sari met his son, Ja'Amore and was taken off guard, tearing up in front of many in the town.
  • Lucrezia and Ja'Amore wanted a funeral for Ja'Amore's foster father who died during Lucrezia's trip. Ri'sari is insulted by this and says no. When Ja'Amore becomes heated, Ri'sari bends and allows it if it is "not made a spectacle." and stating that he would not change his mind for anyone else.
  • Ja'Amore is introduced to his mother, Kiraya. They seem to get along very well. Ri'sari is unsure of how to be a father.
  • Kiraya and Ri'sari speak privately on the beach, remembering the old caravans where they met. Ri'sari reveals his intention to be a good father to his son because his own was the worst kind. He blames Kiraya for making him fail already because their son is already 16. Kiraya convinces Ri'sari that it was not safe until Ja'Amore was older and Ri'sari accepts that, feeling ashamed.
  • Ja'Amore and Ri'sari speak of Ja'Amore's past. He says he was a gaur farmer and knows little of Khajiit ways or combat.
  • Ri'sari tells Ja'Amore that he will teach him to fight and everything Ja'Amore would need to know. He harshly commands Ja'Amore to forget his old life. Ja'Amore reveals his intention to return to his foster mother in Morrowind. Ri'sari forbids it becoming emotional.

THALMOR MOVE INTO TOWN

Upon hearing of unlawful proceedings happening within Woodhearth, the Thalmor move in and starts taking actions effecting the whole town. Already the port has been closed down for investigations on smuggling, moon sugar is being confiscated by guards, all shipments are being searched (both overland and oversea), and it was also announced that they will be conducting "interviews". Caught off guard, the factions within the town begin to worry and wonder how this will affect not only themselves, but the entire town.

Gallant wrote
Recap of event, 6/27/2014:

A bosmer crier, flanked by two Thalmor sorceresses, climbs one of the parapets overlooking the docks district, turns, and blows his horn thrice to call the attention of the crowd. Once he had their attention, he delivered the following speech:

Town Crier wrote
Herey herey, by decree of the Thalmor, new laws shall hereby be instated onto the City of Woodhearth by the order of Lord Vorian Stormor to do away with the unlawful happenings from a Barbaric gathering of people.

The Docks are hereby closed for an undetermined amount of time in to investigate reports of unlawful substances being shipped. During this time, no ship may enter or leave the Port, and shipments already in will seized until a thorough search has been completed.

Furthermore, all merchants who have used the docks for shipping must release their shipping manifests to the Thalamor for the last six months to for this investigation. Refusal to release them will be considered an admittance of guilt and consequences will be sever.

All caravans must from this point forward submit to a search, and forfeit all Moon Sugar in their possession. Alchemical and other provisioning materials may also be confiscated on guard’s discretion. This search will extend to ships coming in when the port opens again.

We will also be interviewing select individuals during this time; refusal to comply will be taken as admittance of guilt.

For the longest time, Woodhearth has gone without law and the vermin have been allowed to take over the streets and rule over you. The Thalmor has taken it upon themselves to remedy this slight oversight.

These changes will only be temporary as we root out the filth littering the city, the Thalmor ensures these vermin will be dealt with severely.

That is all.

Later that evening, a Thalmor soldier is found dead and naked at the foot of the stairs. Most people suspect murder, and a few recall that someone had raised an alarm on the western pier, but the stories don't seem to add up very well.

Thalmor security on the docks increases; a guard is thereafter posted near the gangplank of every deck. Most notice that the guards themselves are all high-elves, with the bosmer city watch being regulated to patrols or lighter, less important duties.

At least one of the Bosmer Sergeants was beaten in front of the Embassy for incompetence.

LOVE IS IN THE AIR.... JASON & BBIGEARGO CLAIMING CEREMONY

Today there was a beautiful ceremony unifying two of our awesome guild members! It was on the sunny beach just west of Moonhenge Wayshrine. You can see from the pictures that the ceremony took place just before sunset on the beach. Nearby was a gorgeous waterfall and there were butterflies floating through the air! In the background there was flute music played by myself, and there was a lutist and a drummer both adding to the ambiance. However, all of that paled in comparison to the glow of the happy couple. I wish you both lots of fun adventures and few quarrels :)

KAZZAH'S RESCUE

Tryynity wrote

Kazzah was captured by the Thalmor, and taken to the Manor - now their Embassy. What he did this time I do not know. He is becoming a liability that may need to be dealt with soon.

After scouting the premises this one found where he was most likely to be kept and set his best, Sumar, to the task of breaking him out. He was successful, and Kazzah was returned to us, though not without cost. Sumar suffered some kind of effect or injury which left him in such a point of exhaustion that he was barely living. Perhaps it was the ward on the lock/door, designed to render any unwanted intruder helpless until discovered and dealt with. Kazzah was no help when questioned.

Sumar and Kazzah have yet to wake, but are kept safely within the confines of the now not-so-secret Stalker Den.

A new arrival on the scene today, an old face from the Company turned up in Woodhearth, a female vampire named Aiidaan.

Vinavia spoke of some dangerous cult in the area, a threat to all existence she claims. Having no experience in these matters, Khajiit has introduced her to this one's latest ally, PaigeFault, a fascinating person although extremely volatile and dangerous this one sees a use for one such as this.

Paige has agreed to be in this one's service under the provision that her true identity be kept a secret, and she is provided regularly with blood. She is not a vampire, which is puzzling because she claims she needs this as a drink - for the iron.

THE THALMOR PROBLEM GROWS
Ri'sari wrote
Ri'sari comes out of hiding and meets with the Goblin Gnarlus to discuss a deal that would see his clan and their Skooma out of the city. He offers to repair the Goblin's boat in secret over two nights so the Goblin may sail away in exchange for passage to an undisclosed destination. The Goblin shows warranted distrust in the Khajiit clan leader and says he will draft a document to hold Ri'sari to his word.

Ri'sari tells Gnarlus not to delay and to meet him near Five Claws tavern under the moons tomorrow.

Ri'sari instructs his recently freed clan favored Kazzah to gather as many trusted clan mates as he can and bring them to the location where they held the late clan mother's funeral. He says to send all others to Five Claws with the promise of coin and peace so they can be observed before being escorted through the swamps to the secret meeting location outside of the city.

The Meeting

The meeting day came.

The varied members of the former Broken Bottle, and Sugar-claw's alike band together, meeting in assumed secret near the Five Claws Tavern before moving to the meeting place. There, Ri'sari outlined his new plan, his vision of a Thalmor free future.

This future was made possible by the shrewd, or perhaps just lucky, business dealings of the goblin Gnarlus, purchasing a ship moored at the Woodhearth docks. A ship filled with holes, damaged by stormy seas and time, but one still whole enough to float. The charge was set to the attending members, Repair the ship in secret, make it seaworthy so that we all might sail to safety, out of the Thalmor's reach. To this end, the Master Crafter, Do'Maa, was set the task of overseeing repairs, while many others jumped at the chance to help, to secure the clan's future and safety.

The meeting did not go fully as planned, however, as the Thalmor appeared. The meeting place was not so secure as thought. The meeting not so secret. These Thalmor proved more intelligent then the norm, and potentially made for the clan's undoing. Words were exchanged and blades drawn. The situation quickly escalated, with lines drawn in the sand, and blood shed. The victim, a Thalmor guard, cut down in the confusion and panic.

After the confrontation all scattered to the winds, secreting themselves away to Gnarlus's ship, a few at a time to better go unnoticed. Time now raced against them, Thalmor dogs nipping at their heels as hasty repairs are made upon the ship.

May the Fates be with the clan, as time most certainly is not.

Blood and Flame!

The Blood

Thalmor!

The shout rang through Five Claws tavern prompting a rush to abandon the building, but it was too late, the Thalmor were already upon the clan. The Thalmor officer had a goal, or rather a target, Ri'sari. With little wait, and even less apparent evidence the Thalmor leader took Ri'sari hostage, under the guise of arrest. Things quickly degenerated as the Thalmor leader held a blade to the Sugar-claw leader's throat and the Sugar-claws killing the lower ranked Thalmor guards around them. At the last moment Ri'sari threw himself, and the Thalmor off a bridge, surviving, but with a grievous wound to the neck. Thankfully he survived.

The Flame

Thalmor!

Again the call rang out! The haphazard repairs to the ship only barely finalized. A still recovering Ri'sari rushed to command, ordering all hands to the deck.

Arrows flew, yet more blood flowed, and the Sugar-claws fled. They rushed to flee the docks while under fire from the Thalmor forces, their actions having drawn down the laws wrath. After finally breaking free, the ship had further fighting ahead of it, the fight for distance, as a Thalmor ship gave chase, balistae bolts and fire spells flying furiously towards the unarmed ship. In the end, the Sugar-claws won out.

They now sail towards distant shores, the thoughts of what was left behind, and what is yet to come, weighing heavily upon their minds.

Long journeys and painful partings

The New Home

After time at sea, feeling to some like an eternity, to others scant few days, the clan and it's followers finally made it to their goal. Reaper's March.

The group abandoned ship, collecting their belongings and setting forth to travel to S'ren-ja. Their jewel, their hope for a peaceful home. From the sleepy moon-sugar farming town they hoped to start anew, to thrive and prosper away from plots of their downfall. The Clan mother's home became their home base, Rawl'kha their trade hub.

The Thalmor followed. Conspiracies of death and destruction were upon the wind.

But the clan made a vow, no more running. S'ren-ja was their home now.

Lamentation for the Innocent

The Thalmor had lost blood, a grievous wound they felt needed cure. They only balm they could stomach, the death of Ri'sari. With this thought they struck, sending assassins to skulk in the shadows of S'ren-ja. An opportunity they could not pass up, a celebration of the clan's arrival in their new home. The assassins struck, not with blades at close quarter, but with poison. An indiscriminate killer placed in a barrel of moon sugar meant for the clan as a whole and Ri'sari specifically.

The ceremony day. A time of joy and celebration. A tragedy that would haunt Ri'sari and the clan. In a move of pride Ri'sari let his son, Ja'Amore be the first to sample the moon sugar, the Thalmor assassins struck. As should never be, and as too often happens, the son took the death meant for the father.

In his pain and mourning Ri'sari struck out, destroying the Skooma labs that were only just established. Now the clan is in the aftermath. What direction will it follow. Has the fire given them a chance at rebirth, or will old paths be again followed?

Ri'sari is presented with his new-born son of Maddisynn. The joyous moment is interrupted with word of the Thalmor troubles that loom over all those in S'ren-ja. Ri'sari enlists the help of Kazzah to amass fresh unpoisoned moon sugar for a festival and clan trials to take place in two days (Wednesday). An event that will surely set the tone for times to come.

A Clan Reborn

Rebirth

The flames burn low, just cinder and smoke left, and from those ashes rise the Sugar-claw, reborn. Ri'sari holds a new ceremony, with new untainted moon sugar. By inducting new clan members, and new clan friends, a rebirth of the clan is sought. The induction is used as a means to illustrate the meaning of clan, its purpose. He leads the new members through collecting, cleaning, and preparing moon-sugar for use. Meanwhile, Qa'iit seeks to organize sell-swords into a new guard for the town and teach a similar lesson. The intent, to teach all that we are stronger as a group then we are standing alone.

Rebuilding

The clan was called to meet under the tree in the town square. The purpose, to further rebuild S'ren-ja. As the clan was reborn, so too would their home. But trouble stirred, a thief had taken many of the supplies for use in building repairs. A vote was cast, with the supplies still left two buildings would be repaired first. It was decided the Barracks would be one of those buildings. It being a place for guards to rest, so that the town's safety could be ensured. The second, the Clan Mother's, the heart of the village, the heart of the clan. A place to meet and rest, both body and mind, from the difficulties of the day.

Growth and Prosperity

Growth

The Clan continues to rebuild, despite Thalmor intervention. Members make frequent trips to nearby trading hub, Rawl'kha. By all appearances the clan has settled in, embraced or at least accepted by the S'ren-ja locals. They seem to be making a home for themselves, after so long fleeing.

Prosperity

The Clan's settlement in S'ren-ja strains the local ability to provide food, and certain other supplies. To remedy this a caravan is made to the Bandaari trading post, with many of the clan members going along as help, and as guards. Even so innocent a journey, however, is fraught with troubles. A possible Thalmor, Tilano appeared at the trading post to cause trouble for clan members, and then the Thalmor stopped the caravan on it's return journey in search of illegal goods. Despite the troubles the caravan made it back to S'ren-ja, and repairs continue.

Darkness Over S'ren-ja

Freaking Dark Brotherhood Assassins!

The Clan was attacked (surprise surprise!) by assassins! Apparently Elros (I think that's how you spell his name) was their target before and Donvyn saved his life so then Donvyn was their target. This sounds way too familiar, don't ya think? I wonder if Cesare knew anything about this....

Anyway, Bethany was hurt pretty badly but thankfully she recovered. I don't think anyone else was hurt during the fight outside....I did hear Gnarlus yell but he's always yelling so that could have been about anything really. And then Alainia somehow got outside and I almost shot at her. Then John wouldn't hold her hand and take her inside. Oh my gods! You can tell those two are related! They are both so stubborn! I was ready to tie them both to chairs inside! Wait, didn't I write that they are related? No? Ok, I'll get to that in a minute.

So anyway....Milo almost shot at me with his bow when I came around the building, looking for more assassins. Then he almost passed out outside, while guarding the clan house. I took him inside to rest and get some drink in him. I figured he would want water but he wanted something stronger. And that's another thing, he was acting a little strange all day. First he tells me that he spoke to Lorys, the sorceress that possessed me, and that she told him that it was a huge mistake. That she meant to possess someone else but I got there first and she mistook me for the other person. And now she wants her soul gem back. Milo said she was very nice and bought him a drink. He said he smelled it first for poison so that's a relief. I asked him if she touched him, because that's how she possessed me and he said that she didn't. He also said she wants to meet with me to apologize and I told him I would. It's not weird that Milo wants everyone to get along, I get that and really love that about him. What was weird is that he almost acted defensive over her when others put her down. But then, like I said, he likes everyone to get along. I think he was just having a weird day. We all have those. And then outside he asked me if I had been away for a while, and that he missed me. I don't think I was gone long today! Gods, I hope I haven't been having black outs again. I am going to start making sure I am always around someone at all times, that way someone will always be watching me in case I have another black out.

Okay so about John and Alainia, it turns out they are brother and sister. Alainia was sold to this creepy guy that used and abused her. John found out she was his long lost sister when the guy came looking for her and wanted her back. Then John killed him. I didn't get the specifics about how that happened, or maybe I did but wasn't paying attention because I was still shocked at finding out that Alainia was his little sister. But Bethany had to arrest him and now he's under house arrest till they figure all this out.

Gnarlus was let free! Yay! I think there's still going to be a trial though about him telling the Thalmor where the Clan went. I'm not quite sure about all of that. But hopefully everything will go well and he won't be banished or worse. And he still thinks he has feelings for me. I accidentally changed my clothes in front of him and I don't think that helped any.

Arisel is the new Clan Mother now. And the old Clan Mother is back, claiming to be S'ren-Ja's Clan Mother. This is going to get confusing.

And after the craziness of the Dark Brotherhood attack, I go back to the clan house after walking Milo back to camp and they say that Hunts is dead! I immediately blame Magik for it but she says she's not possessed anymore. So everyone is just standing around him at the door not doing anything so I flip out and start yelling. John had to yell at me to calm me down. Apparently the best thing we can do for Hunts now is just wait. I'm not very good at that. I don't like waiting. I'm very impatient. But I guess I can do that for Hunts. I hope he comes back.

Before, this one had asked for better company, but she did not receive it, at least not at first. A new arrival to the village, an Argonian bounty hunter/mercenary named Scares-Daedra has been about lately talking about helping to deal with surrounding threats to the village, including a small goblin tribe attacking random passers-by on the roads. The Argonian, after hearing about our currently-absent goblin comrade, seemed to think that there was a relation involved. This one swears she wanted to turn that muscle-bound backpack into just that for even conceiving such a thought. She continued to watch him and other guard members bounce ideas off of one another in relative silence and made a silent vow to keep clear of this savage-looking arrival. This hopes he does the same for his sake.

Sylvaswift was finally put on trial for crimes against the clan that he himself admitted to. It felt like the entire clan was present for this spectacle, which included a public flogging as punishment. This one knew very little about Sylvaswift except that he was the one she first spoke to to get into the Sugar Claws in the first place back in Woodhearth. Still, there was no reason for such a display. This one quickly abstained from ridiculing him further and took solace behind the clan house once more. She could sill hear voices and six distinct cracks of a whip across flesh. It seemed this one was not the only one to think he did not deserve this punishment.

When she could tell the crowd had broken up, this one made her way inside and found more dire news. Bethany resigned as Guard Captain leaving Kade in charge. Such a day could not get any worse. Fortunately, it did not with a few notable friends present. This one later spoke with Milo and Lucrezia--mostly Lucrezia since Milo had already taken this one's time before--about their experiment and eventually assured them that nothing negative would come of this. As boisterous as she is when she is drinking, Lucrezia is delightfully adorable when she is flustered for words when speaking to others. It is of little wonder she lets Milo speak for her at times. This one only hopes that she does not disappoint her Bosmer friends during the upcoming festivities.

The Inspection

An Eye of the Queen arrived in S'ren-ja, saying that the Sugar Claws have been accused of manufacturing and selling Blue Skooma once again! The official said the iconic skooma has been reported all over Reaper's March, and is even spreading into other Dominion territories. The official orders an inspection of the village, and although the Clan's leadership wanted to object, another round with the Thalmor would surely destroy the clan once and for all. Guards and citizens split up into groups to search various buildings around S'ren-ja. Many reported back empty handed, but a couple reported a note wanting to destroy the Sugar Claw Clan, and a barrel of Blue Skooma seemingly planted in the storehouse.

The official took the evidence and told Kade and Arisel that as of right now the evidence is in the clan's favor, but to be careful of any illegal dealings until the investigation is concluded. Who is trying to frame the clan!?

Inspection Findings

Myreni Thalahassa and Qa'Han Sandscales returned to S'ren-ja and announced that the evidence in fact showed to be an attempt to set up the Sugar Claw Clan. After the announcement a note appeared above Myreni in a cloud of smoke. The note threatened the Sugar Claws and anyone else involved in the investigation that if they did not cease their searches, they would pay dearly. Angered, Arisel ordered that the investigation continue despite the threat, but asked that everyone in the village be cautious at all times.

Myreni presented a cast of a footprint found with the other evidence. Everyone present at the announcement place their foot next to the cast to compare sizes in an attempt to get a lead on the spy within S'ren-ja. None matched though.

The Pursuit

With Ma'Chirrahni exposed and captured after poisoning Myreni and several others in the clan, the time to question her is now. She only has one thing to say to the clan though. "It's too late!" Her superiors have already been contacted and they are planning on turning S'ren-ja upside down and wiping out the Sugar Claws, but she won't say who they are or where they are coming from. Some evidence is tracked down when Chirrahni's cloak breaks, helping the clan narrow down who could possibly be behind all of this. Some of the evidence found:

The trampled note from the Clanhouse

The kindlepitch and lockpicks from the cells

The dead-drop note from the Clanhouse

The planted skooma from the Storehouse

The poisoned ale from the banquet.

Plans go to after the rival skooma clan are now being made.

Arrests in Pa'alat

When the Sugar Claw Clan discovered the location of where the people who was responsible for framing the guild with the Blue Skooma Manufaction, they raced to Pa'alat to raid the Mansion where they'd find and eventually capture them for interrogation.

The Guard Division (GD) lead by Captain Thorkan, were deputized by the Dominion to investigate. When the people who occupied Pa'alat resisted their authority, the GD were forced to take other measures. Keeping in mind that they need them alive to extract the information in order to complete their mission.

Once they've brought their guilty back to S'ran-ja and locked them up for interrogation. The guild got the answers they've longed for and the criminals were eventually handed over to the Thalmor, where they will spend the rest of their days behind bars in Dune. Ending yet another crisis for the Sugar Claw Clan. - Kath McKaar

The Trial

For the past month the illegal substance known as Blue Skooma, has been flooding the Black Market of Northern Valenwood. The troubling truth was discovered yet again by the Thalmor while the Skooma was being smuggled out of S'ren-Ja using the brewery. The Thalmor came to the Sugar Claw Clan in conclusion of the guild being guilty, very aware that it was they who crafted such a drug.

However, with the support from the evidence that proves the guild's innocence, the Thalmor also captured the true mastermind behind these crimes. They summoned the guild to serve as the jury for Portia Antonius's trial, with the granted permission by the Clan Mother Arisel.

When Portia Antonius admitted her crimes to the jury, she awaited for her sentence after Captain Thorkan asked them for their final decision. The jury found her easily guilty in all charges, turning her over to the Aldmeri Dominion where she'll be punished accordingly under their laws for the crimes she committed. Soon after, the Sugar Claw Clan celebrated this achievement with a great feast at the Greedy Goblet, holding their mugs high and proud. - Kath McKaar

The Ruby of Frostfall

Peridota wrote
Below is the entry Peri made in her notebook after the clan stumbled upon an interesting find in the sugar fields

Fredas. 4th of Frostfall 2E 582
The moon sugar fields of S'renja yielded a bit more than just crops. The clan was set to restore the overgrown field to prepare it for use again. It started off normally enough, members of the clan digging, raking and weeding, a hefty serving of beefcake provided by the shirtless men of the clan, and Hunts-with-Magic working hard at hardly working. Guard Captain Kade's shovel struck a solid object in the soil. Enlisting the help of Ser Krynger and Bbigeargo, Guard Captain Kade unearthed a large, rusty iron box. With a flourish of style and grace, Korvos delivered a powerful downward kick to the lid of the box exposing the contents within. A body and box in a box! This Khajiit in the box seems to have suffered the gruesome fate of being buried alive holding an intricate puzzle box. The ever honorable, if not a bit fanatic, Ser Krynger suggested the body be left alone and reburied immediately. The rest of the clan, who often let curiosity get the better of them, decided to proceed with an examination of the body and and puzzle box. (Though let it be said, the body was given a proper burial shortly after in the actual cemetery at S'renja, we are not savages, after all. Bbigeargo and the ever resourceful/troublemaking Dwemer spider Spark managed to pop the box open. Inside that box was placed a large spherical ruby. Peri being knowledgeable in all things gem and rock based, was given the opportunity to examine it. It turns out it is not just any ruby, but a star ruby. The light hitting it causes a six pointed starburst to appear within the gemstone. Such a ruby is very rare and valuable, very unusual for such to thing to be buried in such an odd way. It is not in its natural state, it must have been cut and polished by a lapidary, Bbigeargo suggests some records of it may exist somewhere in Rawl'ka. He as also suggested that perhaps a message may be hidden in the gem somehow so Peri will also be examining the stone further under a gypsum lens to change how the light reacts with the stone in addition to by candle light, sun light, and moon light. Bbigeargo will be searching for the proper lenses required as the best ones to be found are likely Dwemer make. Who knows what secrets lie hidden within this sparkling gem. Peri would love to have such a specimen for her collection, it will probably end up blowing up or something, much like most things around here.
