@maleon
Remvir
Altmer
27
Male
Single
Gay, bi-curious.

Personality:
Rem is shy, studious, and maybe a little crazy. Too much time stuck in books in the Shivering Ilses may have left him unhinged, but he means well at heart and hopes to use his hard earned knowledge to make the world a better place one person at a time. His favorite pasttimes are researching medicine, the mechanics of magic, life and the universe, a good story (preferably the kind that draws you into its embrace, not the clinical books that lock you in their icy clutch); cleaning, cooking and crafting; classical conditioning; and tracking down and tearing apart Tamriel's wildlife (or unlife, as the case often is, lol.)
His weaknesses are his narcolepsy, morbid sense of humor, cynicism, obessive-compulsive behavior, overprotectiveness, difficulties starting conversations, his lack of focus, and his addiction to hookah (water pipe).

He enjoys a good battle, either sparring or for keeps, and is a rather evasive near to mid range fighter, with good support capabilities and battle field awareness and a few rather nasty, unpredictable surprises (*disclaimer, said for effect becauses abilities are totally set in stone at a certain point. XD) to help him strategize his pack of storm summons to a.solo seige victory,

Background:
Remvir was born to a pair of skooma dealing mer in a rural hamlet near the coast of Ghratwood. His mother died in child birth and his father died of a skooma overdose within days of her passing. Growing up in the orphanage, Remvir was seen as an odd child, especially when the lightning would bristle his hair and light his eyes in anger, and small things in the surroundings were... warped; sands melted to roots of glass under his feet, the dead vermin suddenly finding one last bit of fight in them... His magic was recognized and he was taken to be tutored at the College of Winterhold, where he learned to hone his skill with storm desctruction and alteration. Soon he grew bored however, and left the college in pursuit of knowledge of both life and unlife. It was while while puruesing a library of a missing necromancer that he came across the book that brought him to the Shivering Isles. Until recently he was subjected to and subject of the prince of chaos' scheming and whims. By sacrificing his necromancy, Remvir was able to bargain his life out of the grip of the mad god.

I cannot approve this unfortunately.
Please refer to the rules about god modding/lore adherence here: Lore and Roleplaying

Also, please take a look at this Character Sheet guide, your's should look similar and contain the same general information (Such as a Bio, Personality, Likes/dislikes, ect) Character Sheet guide

Okay, I can take out the Molag Bal's realm part, though if one understands the intent behind that rule and it is actually as straightforward a concern as it seems, I don't see how getting dumped in Molag Bal's realm like rubbish to escape imprsonment is anything approaching "godmodding" when I don't intend to use it in whatever scant situations I'll even be IC. I was interested in joining less for the RP and more for the companionship and curiosity to see what guilds are like anyway. I'll change it tomorrow, I don't feel like fucking with it anymore.

Unless you're referring to me bluntly hinting at the fact that I was a necromancer in Skyrim in addition to the storm mage abilities they actually bothered to keep in ESO. While I'll remove the ESO, the rest of the background stays or it all goes for good.

Also, please take a look at the character sheet guide, subsection personality, example two; ignoring the fact that someone directly states that there are many other formats that COULD have been used above that, mine is actually pretty similar to it.

Regardless of your intent to rp, all character sheets must follow proper protocol as this is an rp guild. The issue with god modding here specifically are the mention of Remvir spending considerable time in the Shivering Isles, having dealings with the Mad God himself, and his general abilities (Summoning and controlling multiple storm atronachs and commanding them.)

I'm unsure what you mean here:

"Unless you're referring to me bluntly hinting at the fact that I was a necromancer in Skyrim in addition to the storm mage abilities they actually bothered to keep in ESO. While I'll remove the ESO, the rest of the background stays or it all goes for good."

There are no issues with playing a necromancer as long as they are not known ICLY that they are one, as then they will be subject to town law.

As for the reverence to the character sheet guide, I linked that so you may get an idea as to what we generally prefer/expect in character sheets. As you are new to rp, it is something that could be useful to you. The format of this sheet is a little confusing and lacks context to each section.

The purpose of a character sheet is so other players in game can look up and reference your character to get an idea of who they are before interacting with them. At a quick glance, it's easier when sections are labeled.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to pm me or any other officer, as we are all willing to help.

The "storm mage summons" statement refers broadly to the three summons available to a storm mage, seeing as the clanfear can explode in lightning and the twilight can attack with lighting. Likewise, the intimidating descripting of electric discharge refers to the storm cloak; obviously, that lighting would be going somewhere, and what do you think happens when 15k degree plasma travels through sand?

I guess dealings with Sheogorath could be seen as god modding, especially the joke referring to the mayor's storm powers (even if it's obviously a joke and not an achievable ability). And considering I'm less than halfway through both the ES games I've played and have already seen three people trapped in books linked to the daerdic realms in ESO alone, I think that's a rather justifiiable background, especially since IRL I've spent the last three years buried in medical texts.

Also, you may want to just discourage use of ES lore altogether if you aren't going to have a sense of humor over it. I've totally lost all the excitement, interest and anticipation I was feeling last night.

Remvir,

Please, there's no need to become defensive over any of this. While we are constantly trying to insure that all of our members have fun and can play as interesting characters, we also have to make sure that members aren't creating characters that could ruin the fun for others. In rp, we handle things that happen in the singleplayer quests with a grain of salt in the same way we can't have people running around rping as the vestige destined to save Tamriel from Molag Bal.

The thing is, this is a roleplyaing guild, and we have a reasonable set of rules that members need to follow.

All that said, this sheet looks good for approval. 12/18/2015

Before you approve, officers, I do have a question for Remvir.

Do you still want to be in guild in spite of your disagreement of our policies and procedures? It seems you're no longer wanting to. If you don't want to, we're certainly not the only AD RP option. I can help you explore your options if you're reconsidering. There is also a very large OOC hub guild for AD RP called The Dominion Accord I can send you an invite to, that is like LinkedIn for AD RPers. It can help you explore your options or even remain relatively guildless and hop from place to place to RP.

If you'd still like to give our guild a try, now that the officers have approved of your sheet, you're of course welcome to stay.

I really appreciate the offer, but I'm not too concerned with that. I may decide to look into some kind of combat guild, but as long as we get to fight alongside each other for awhile I'll be cool. :P I'll be pretty busy again after break ends in mid January anyway. T.T

Sorry if I got a bit snappish, I found out earlier I failed my Pathology final (I wasn't kidding when I said I was worried). So now I have to put my break on hold. Been in mandatory tutoring all afternoon since the grades came out, stuck studying still until I retake it Monday. It's a bunch of dragon shit, they let us retake but cap the grade at a 72; thing is, with all their internal political intrigue, in a situation like this where I have all weekend to study for the same test I already took if I don't do reasonably well (i.e. as close to an A as possible) it could be pretty bad. Thankfully I already looked up a few questions right after, but it's going to be hard remembering anymore after cramming for another test in between. DX

P.S. Also, this is kinda a stupid question, but what is LinkedIn? And how are the two similar? I can Google it, but sometimes the Internet doesn't quite teach the whole of something, particularly social things, as I've learned the hard way many times, haha. ^.^'

We do a good mix of plots to give the fighter types and non-fighter types all a chance, though there's little mercenary groups you'll probably be interested in joining that do side-stories in addition to the main story who go bounty hunting and such.

That's alright, everyone's got their bad days! Sorry to hear, I hope everything goes well for you!

And The Dominion Accord is basically a way for RPers to connect to other RPers and guilds, and for people to see what's going on in the community and where the RP's happening. c:

Could someone handle the trial emebership expiration warning, since the edited sheet was approved? Also, woot, I passed everything now and I'm home with my family free to game. :D
