Name: Ari’ania
Age:248 (deceased)
Race: Dunmer (Vampire)
Flair: (Always wears a necklace that conceals her true nature. She looks as a pale dunmer would.)
Weight: 165 lbs.
Place of Birth: Old Keep, Mournhold.
Born more than two centuries ago, Ari’ania does not remember the first few years of her life, but can recall the sounds of constant waves and birds. Her life contained within the bowels of a sailing vessel, her father and his crew pirates off the coast of Tamriel. She spent many hours learning to fish and forage for any type of sustenance as a youngster. As she aged, she was trained with the other very young dunmer to use blade and shield, though her aptitude with spells became apparent after one of the intense and short battles that her father’s crew were so commonly known for.
As she reached an age that started to make the crew realize she was female, her father sent her to learn to control and refine her magical abilities, as well as teach her some refinement. Ari’ania had taken to wearing armor and acting as hardened as some of the sailors that sailed under the privateer writ her father had procured from the King’s court. She was sent to Davon’s Watch in Stone Falls, and expected to learn from tutors and trainers there. She found the new constraints and expectations difficult to ascribe to at first. She was taught the skill of alchemy as well as the ability to use a staff. Her days were spent learning as much as she could, while at night, she spent her time sidling from building to building, learning all she could of the strange people inside the city.
After several years of training, her father sent her the news, she was to move to Skywatch, and learn everything she could there. Her curiosity was aroused, what could she learn in a small port city? Her concerns only grew as she was told she would have to be smuggled into the port. After a long journey, she arrived in the shallows outside Vulkhel Guard. The ship had foundered in the shallows and was leagues off course, and she had dived overboard, intending to get away from the ship with its privateers colors. She made her way up the coast, quietly learning the dialect and summarily arrived in Skywatch several months later, her former position taken by another student. Ari’ania took the opportunity to wander, her curiosity taking her to the edges of Auridon and the shores of Khenarthi’s Roost over the next several years... Not knowing her privateer father had survived, she thought him and his loyal crew dead, and though she missed him as well as the sea, she was for the first time free to be what she wanted.
Ari’ania wandered for decades, her eyes growing accustomed to the bright skies of the land outside of her ash covered homeland, as she discovered that there was more to the Dominion that just the small island. She traveled to the capitol, a tree in a land that fascinated her. She learned of the Green Pact, something that she found limiting but interesting, a whole culture devoted to the Green, as they called it. She learned of the khajit culture when she traveled to Reaper’s March which was also fascinating to her, and spent many a night listening to the stories of elders of the local tribes there.
Ar’ania spent her time learning by herself searching tombs and ancient holdings, she came to a land that was dry and filled with scorpions and what she came to know later as vampires and werewolves. She was bitten by a vampire after a late night that she shared a campfire with a mysterious female one. She was told, by the woman had been following her and that she was perfect to compliment her own skills. The vampire was attacked moments after the bite by a red eyed dunmer that saw too late that Ari’ania had been bitten already. He thought about ending her life that night but offered to mentor her instead. Though they traveled together for years she learned very little as she focused on controlling her urges that overcame her at the sight and smell of blood.
Years later, they parted ways, Ari’ania having learned that though she had become a predator, and those that were predators were the only ones worthy enough to take from, her bite lethal as she did not want to create more monsters like herself. She spent many night stalking those that were highwaymen and the like. After several years she decided to be more proactive, seeking placement in the Dominion military, her specialty healing and repairing the men and women on the front lines. Her military career was unremarkable save for the close calls she had when alone near enemy troops, her hunger being sated late at night by those that looted the bodies on the field. After she retires, she goes back to wandering, though her pension includes a small house that she visits often, leaving small trinkets she picks up from the caves and ruins she visits in her travels.
Her life changed after meeting a khajit, though he stated he was in hiding, their paths have crossed many miles since then as they adventure together.
