Physical Description: Relend is a rather tall individual standing at about six feet one inch. His body is well toned from years of physical activity that is not uncommon in this day and age while is skin is somewhat pale. Relend has long flowing blonde hair that goes past his shoulders along with scruff on his face that could be considered a measly beard. His eyes are a piercing icy blue with a long scar running along his left cheek and more peppering his face. If he ever removes the clothing covering his shoulders and chest you will see large black paint covering them as a symbol from his home.
Personality: Relend is a talkative one. He shines in conversation with another individual whether it be a casual discussion or a heated debate. He shows that he is rather friendly and helpful making sure to always stop for those in need or be there when he's needed the most. He considers his true friends people he'd die for but that is only on the surface. While his intentions are true and he does strive to make the world a better place he is a lost wanderer. Thinking himself hollow Relend amplifies his outward emotions when in reality he would be a much more muted and forgetful individual. The world has lost it's luster for him and he marches through day after day in the hopes he finds some purpose to make him feel truly alive again to where his façade would no longer be a false mask but a forthcoming truth, but until that happens he will make sure that everyone around him who already feels alive, stays that way.
Background: Relend grew up in a rural town along a small river in Greenshade. His family consisted of himself, his mother, and his father, him being an only child. His father, Valador Scotts, had a knack for hunting while his mother. Evelyn Scotts, would tan the hides and provide leather for the towns use. Valador was a devout follower of Hircine having built a shrine in his humble home and even accepting his blessing when he caught the attention of Hircine himself.
The town knew of his worshipping tendencies and were accepting of it due to how much wild game and subsequent leather he brought to the town and his general radiating aura of kindness.
Valador was proud to have been blessed with a son and taught him how to wield a bow and hunt as soon as he was able. This resulted in Relend growing accustomed to the woods he grew up in, learning much about the different flora and fauna, several hunting and tracking methods, and his deathly fear of spiders due to him tumbling into an enormous spider web and being cocooned by the beast that made it only to be saved by his father minutes later. After that experience he took an understandable break from hunting and turned to fishing, and even leatherworking to fill his time before he got back to the woods.
At the ripe age of eighteen Valador sought it fit to bestow Hircines blessing onto his kin. The night of Relends first transformation he was brought into the woods, and after the night was over much of thw wildlife was viciously slaughtered by his claws. Over time Relend could control when he would transform but, when he did, he had little to no control over himself and was sent into a ferocious bloodlust.
One night, while hunting in the forest alone, Relend heard a scream. A high pitched wail that would haunt him for many nights to come. He ran as fast as his legs would carry him to the source of the sound only to find it originated from right inside his home. He burst through the door only to find his mother sprawled across the floor in two separate places and what was most-likely his father between them, still ripping apart the remains as a savage beast.
He had blacked out after that only to wake up in chains and dried blood. He was told by one of the guards hauling him that he had ripped his own father to shreds, and three other innocent bystanders who had run to check out the ruckus along with him. Relend was also told he had a choice, be exiled from his home never to return, or rot in a cell for the rest of his life. Apalled at himself he truly had to think about that question before answering with the former so he could at least right the wrong he had committed. He had just lost his family, his home, and in truth his innocence. The shrouded veil that clouded his vision with bliss and naivety of his former life was ripped from him and thus he was pushed into a cold world in which he had debts to pay, and no more time to grow up.
Now he walks his road, looking for redemption, for purpose. Relend now covers his shoulders in paint to ressemble the symbol of his home and how he still carries his burden from it and has given up his bow for a shield, sword, and staff instead in the hopes of protecting others more than hurting them.
