Flairs: Kairii bears the markings of her slave upbringing. Her body is adorned with sweeping but simple tattoos, an easy method of property marking used by the slave owners that ensured that any of their property which attempted to flee would be instantly recognizable. She also has a series of long, thin scars on her back, marks of the task masters biting switch which he used on her as a girl. Kairii makes an effort to keep both of these details covered as much as possible, seeking to hide from others, and perhaps herself, her past.
Personality
By merit of her upbringing Kairii is naturally introverted and distrusting of most around her. Having lived most of her young life on her own she has garnered a healthy dose of cynicism that colors most of her interactions with others, leaving her always thinking "What is their ulterior motive?" That as it may be, she inwardly long for some form of connection with others which is part of the reason that despite her adventures she prefers to remain near town in her down time, just close enough to watch the happy lives of those moving about and wonder "what if?"

Kairii is an orphan of a nobleman and plantation slave. She was raised a slave despite her mixed blood and worked most of her childhood in the fields during the day and would use her natural ability to know the shadows to steal away in the night, enjoying the freedom and scents of the woods. It was during one of these nocturnal outings that she returned to find her mother missing. The next day it was revealed that the plantation owner had once again taken a liking to her mother, but not wanting to concern himself with growing risk of the perception of impropriety made sure that no rumors could be spread among the slaves; Kairii's mother's body was left in the fields and found by the slaves the next morning. Fearing for her own life and overcome with rage and sorrow, Kairii once again slipped out of her hovel that night, her pockets filled with what meager belongings she had and slipped away into the night, never to return. Growing up on her own through the alleys and streets of the cities, she was adopted by Davorian, a member of thieving crew. While the crew was not the best, or even a marginally safe environment for a young girl to grow up it served to at least put a roof over her head. Davorian was never quick to show affection or concern for Kairii but made sure the girl was provided with food and a place to sleep...most nights. While Kairii was not often brought along on crew activities she was expected to earn her keep; cleaning, cooking, acting as a distraction during heists etc. It was after one of these heists that Kairii returned to the crew hideout only to find the sight of a great struggle and all of her crew, including Davorian, killed and dismembered by some twisted magic. Kairii left that night and has been wandering on her own ever since, doing small thief jobs and contracts to stay alive, all the while seeking to find out what happened to her crew and hoping the same fate was not stalking her in the night.
