Morality: Wraesha cares about people, and is generally a friendly person, but when it comes down to the wire, Wraesha is a coward, and a snake. She will rarely put herself in direct danger to help others, and will sacrifice her morals for personal gain. She has very strong anti-authoritarian beliefs, and is outspoken about the merits of individualism, distrusting guards, mages, soldiers, politicians, and anyone else she believes holds more power than her.

Wraesha assigns blame in her own best interest. She’s quick to make judgment, and even quicker to speak to them. Her sarcasm can get her into trouble at times. She doesn’t really know when to bite her tongue. Wraesha is prone to mood swings, and can get very nasty when she’s angry. She is outspoken, but will often her close thoughts and insecurities behind jokes. Despite her perceived confidence, Wraesha is paralyzed by her anxiety. She’s very self aware of her flaws, and dwells on her thoughts and actions far more than is healthy. She used to self medicate with skooma, though that didn’t work out too well for her.

Likes: Wraesha appreciates good humor. She has an unhealthy relationship with moonsugar, and it’s narcotic derivative, and at one point, considered herself a connoisseur of both. She likes sweet things, especially enjoys sweet rolls and rum. Wraesha loves the sun, and though she may complain about travelling, she loves to move, see new things, and meet new people.

Dislikes: Wraesha’s distrust of authority has always been apparent. She’s very critical of soldiers, guards, and officials, and isn’t afraid to say it. She’s never liked magic, even if she can recognize that it can be helpful at times. Destruction magic, and soul trapping magics are particularly offensive to her. Because of past experiences, and her fear of magic she’s particularly outspoken against Telvanni mages, and will tense up should one even be in the room with her.

Fears: Wraesha fears being worthless. She fears becoming someone’s burden, which is part of the reason she is so independent, and why she makes so many jokes. On a more primal level, Wraesha fears death, and is very careful not to knowingly put herself in dangerous situations. She also has an inherent distrust of magic users. To her, magic should always ever be practical, and used in day to day events. To use magic aggressively is not right to her. Keeping in line with her fear of magic, and the unknown, Wraesha is perhaps rightly intolerant of vampires and werewolves, considering them sad cursed creatures at best, and terrible monsters at worst.

Skills:Wraesha worked as a carpenter while growing up, and has developed a particular hobby for wood carving. She carves mostly as a distraction, but she has sold toys, and done work for commission before. She is a competent alchemist, though most of her skills lie in brewing skooma, she nonetheless knows her way around an apothecary. While grating at times, Wraesha isn’t bad at making friends, and so long as she benefits from the relationship, she can be very loyal. Though she is by no means a fighter, Wraesha is decent with a bow, and knows which end of a sword to hold. She would be a far more competent fighter were it not for her nerves. She is familiar with a forge, and is a somewhat decent blacksmith, through her experience lies in making tools and fittings rather than weapons. Wraesha has a bit of a green thumb. She knows how to farm, and has a solid background in animal husbandry and butchering.

Ineptitudes:Wraesha does not work with magic, and has no interest in becoming a mage. She has a dislike for horses, and she avoids even getting close to them if she can help it. As such, she is a very poor rider, and has only just recently become comfortable controlling a cart pulled by a guar. Wraesha is not very good with math, and even worse with her finances. Though she has gotten significantly better over the past several years. She's been able to keep up with it for the most part, but she doesn't like it.

Languages: Wraesha is bilingual, speaking both Tamrielic, and Ta'agra. She is more fluent in Tamrielic, though she did speak with her family in Ta’agra while growing up. She retains her Elsweyr accent, but has made a conscious effort to avoid speaking in the third person. According to her, if you talk like a khajiit, you’re treated like a khajiit.

Le’Elrh: Wraesha’s mother, a lifelong farmer of millet, cattle, and occasionally moonsugar. Her father owned the family farm before her, and his mother before him. Le’Elrh was the third generation owner of a plot of land, that had changed very little from when it was settled. The land was scarce, and growing food was hard. The family relied more on their livestock than they did their crops. They rarely overproduced. Le’Elrh was a kind mother for the most part, though she kept her house disciplined. She knew that without constant work, the family would starve. Le’Elrh was perhaps the most religious of the family, the only times she left the farm were on short pilgrimages to Rawl’ka, though even those were brief, and never truly served as a vacation.

J’Mohar: Wraesha’s father was a poor craftsman who struggled to find work in rural Elsweyr. He met Le’Elrh when the both of them were young, and married into the farming life. He was a proud working class Khajiit, though he was often strict, and heavy handed with his family. He loved his children more than anything, but he rarely said so. He taught Wraesha much of what she knows today. When Wraesha was thirteen he gifted her a set of carving tools. They’ve been broken and repaired many times since, but they are still personally significant to Wraesha.

Et’hara: Wraesha’s older Alfiq sister. Et’hara is a year older than Wraesha. They grew up side by side, and developed a very close relationship. Because Et’hara is alfiq she fills a very different niche on the farm. Wraesha always confided in Et’hara. Partly because Et’hara couldn’t speak and thus kept very good secrets, but mostly because they had a close sisterly bond.

Krimir: Wraesha’s younger brother, now 20, he works as an independent trader in a caravan in High Rock. Krimir was less of a troublemaker than Wraesha was, but he still caused his fair share of problems. Out of all her siblings, Wraesha had the most antagonistic relationship with Krimir. When he was young, she used to bully him, but after puberty, he ended up much larger than Wraesha and there was a brief role reversal. Now that they’re both adults, they’ve got a new found trust for each other. Krimir left the farm just a few years after Wraesha to follow in her footsteps. He’s been doing better than her.

Wyk (deceased): Wraesha’s younger brother. He died at age 10 during a roofing project on the farm. He would have turned 19 this year. Wyk was the strange child of the family. He was the one most likely to be found playing in the mud alone. His death shook the family to it’s core. Even nearly a decade later, there’s still an empty seat at the family table.

Sajiit Wraesha’s youngest brother. He’s a scrawny 17 year old, who hasn’t quite figured out his place in life. He was a quiet kid growing up, and caused very little trouble. Which was a relief for Le’Elrh and J’Mohar, because after Wraesha and Krimir, they couldn’t handle another troublemaker. Sajiit observes more than he lets on. He plans to remain on the farm for most of his life.

Jhmüd: Wraesha’s uncle has lived on farm almost as long as Le’Elrh has. He is three years younger than his sister, and maintains a close relationship with her, despite harboring a slight resentment for not inheriting the farm. He’d as much a part of Wraesha’s immediate family as anyone else is.

Reydrn: A local weaver who married Jhamüd 15 years ago. He’s a kind presence in the family, and often brings some much needed perspective to the bunch. Though once distrusted as an outsider, he’s become an integral part of the farm.

Dro’athis (deceased): Wraesha’s grandfather, and Le’Elrh’s father. Wraesha didn’t know Dro’athis very well. He died when she was an infant, though some of her earliest memories are of him sharing moonsugar with her.

Beware of Meta
Wraesha was born to J’Mohar, and La’Elrh 24 years ago. She lived with her family on her grandfather's farm, a short journey south of Orcrest. Wraesha didn’t know her grandfather very well, as he passed just after her sixth birthday, leaving the farm to her mother and uncle. Wraesha’s mother was a farmer, and her father a carpenter, finding work both on the farm, and in nearby villages and tribes. She was the second oldest among five, the oldest being Et’hara, her Alfiq sister. She had three younger brothers, who she got along fairly well with.

Most of her time growing up was spent either helping her mother with the crops, or assisting with childcare. By the time she reached adolescence, she began to take on other responsibilities. She would help her father with his work in the forge by making tools, and nails, and by assisting him in carpentry projects. When she was 14, her brother Wyk joined her in her father's shop. They began building a new house for their uncle and his husband to move into, as there was little room left in the family home. While building the roof of the new house, Wyk slipped, and fell. He survived the initial fall, but died later that day in bed, before a healer could arrive. The loss devastated the family, and the house remained unfinished for years.

Life eventually went back to normal, though her mother and father were never quite the same after losing their son. Wyk was rarely mentioned, and when it was it was always in hushed tones. During her adolescence, Wraesha developed a close relationship with her sister, Et’Hara, who she would speak to for hours, despite Et’hara not having the ability to verbally reply. Around this time Wraesha became more and more reckless. She would sneak off to explore, or to pawn exotic fruits off of traveling merchants. She had a brief teenage fling with a boy from Orcrest, while his family was passing through on the way to Senchal. Their meetings were brief, but passionate. He had almost convinced Wraesha to leave with them, though she eventually decided to stay with her family.

Soon after Wraesha turned 18, she left home to travel with a merchant caravan. The caravan travelled far, but kept most of their dealings in Elsweyr, Valenwood, and some parts of Cyrodiil. Wraesha fit in well with the travellers, and would often beguile the other caravan members with a well timed joke, or silly anecdote. While on the road the caravan was stopped by a group of highwaymen. The situation escalated, and broke out into a fight. Wraesha fired an arrow, wounding one of the highwaymen. She was nocking another, when she was intercepted by one of the attackers, who stabbed her in the stomach, nearly killing her. The caravan eventually drove back the assault, suffering few casualties, but no fatalities. For the next several days, Wraesha was in and out of a coma, an alchimist on the caravan was able to close the wound, and prevent infection. Wraesha survived, but was shaken up by the fight. She began working closely with the alchemist who saved her life, becoming an informal apprentice to him.

Wraesha started smoking skooma on the caravan soon after the fight. She had been taking moonsugar since childhood, but this was the first time she had had smoked the drug. Because of her resistances to moonsugar, skooma could just be a once and awhile thing for her, and it was for a bit. She eventually became a connoisseur of the drug, buying it, and selling it on the road and within the caravan. She became very close friends with Strig Mjenssen, a nord caravanner who had left his home in Skyrim after coming out as a transgender man. The two played pranks on each other, smoked together, and spent plenty of time talking to each other.

Eventually the roads became more and more dangerous, and the caravan was stopped and searched a few times while in cities. Wraesha was never caught, but Strig was arrested for selling skooma while the caravan was in central Valenwood. After that, Wraesha decided to leave the caravan, and make for home. She spent almost a year on the farm again, reconnecting with her sister and parents. She enjoyed it, though she grew restless. After her brother left to join another caravan travelling to the Hammerfells, Wraesha decided to leave again. She packed only what she needed, and set off down the road, trading what skooma she had from the caravan, and the moonsugar from her parents farm. Eventually, she found her way to the Baandari Trading Post, where she quickly settled. After finding a community in the area, she's become somewhat of a local.

While at the Trading Post, she grew close to Faiyaz, a local khajiit. The two eventually bought a house together. On a trip to Vulkwasten, she was offered a job working for the Magpie Trading Company, a new caravan in the area. Her work put strain on her relationship with Faiyaz, but she was making too much money to justify quitting. Eventually, she was put in charge of the regional operations of the Magpies. As time passed, it became clear the the Magpie Trading Company was not a safe and ‘morally just’ organization, but they did offer to loan Wraesha enough money to buy a warehouse, cart, guar, and anything she needed to trade, so she didn’t ask too many questions. Though Wraesha kept it a secret from most of her employees, she was also smuggling skooma and stolen artifacts for the Magpies.

During one of their runs to deliver mammoth meat (and maybe a few drugs) to the Gold Coast, the Magpies were caught in a massive storm. In order to save themselves, and their goods, they took shelter in a rural farm house. While searching for the owner, Wraesha disappeared in the storm. Before the magpies could search for her, they were attacked by daedra. What had seemed to be just a farmhouse, turned out to be the hiding place of a cursed cultist of Boethiah. In order to free himself from his curse and turn himself into a litch, he needed souls. The cultist was able to collect one from Ulundil, one of the Magpie employees, and had planned to steal Wraesha’s as well, but she was rescued by Thelin and Aeliester, two of her other employees. She was scarred physically and mentally, but still had the foresight to collect the gem containing Ulundils soul.

After failing to sell the mammoth meat at a decent price, and being unable to work while she recovered, Wraesha’s branch began to fail. The Magpies demanded that Wraesha provide them the gold expected, or her branch would be shut down. Overworked and traumatized, she got into an argument with Faiyaz, eventually leaving him to tend to her business. In order to save her company, she opted to sell the stolen soul gem to a Telvanni mage in Mournhold. She began to tell her most trusted employees of her plan. Several found it morally bankrupt to trade in souls. One of her closer friends, Wren, disagreed with such fervor, that she stole the gem, and shattered it to free the soul within. Whether it not it had actually worked was unclear, but it set Wraesha back significantly. She hatched a plan to steal the agreed upon gold from the Telvanni mage, and with the help of her team, managed to secure enough to keep her company alive.

Around this time Wraesha had started to get to know Riz Keys, a child who had just arrived. Reminding her of herself as a child, Wraesha took Keys under her wing, treating her as a sort of daughter. Her intent was to mentor her, and give Keys work experience, and a way to make a life for herself, but in her desperation, Wraesha began to use the young girl as a tool for her business.

At this point, Wren had informed the guards of Wraesha’s smuggling operations. Wraesha attempted to take matters into her own hands, by sending an employee to spike Wren’s drink with skooma in an attempt to get Wren hooked again, but Wraesha’s employee had a stroke of conscience, and told Wren of the plan. While working for the guard, Wren disguised herself and convinced Wraesha to sell her a vial of skooma. It was Thelin who told Wraesha of the evidence mounting against her, and advised her to sell her stock, and lay low for awhile.

Wraesha’s chance to save herself came during a small, but deadly siege to Vulkwasten. Terath, steward of the local fighters guild, hired the Magpies to deliver supplies from Anvil, where it was legal to sell skooma. Wraesha took the job as a way to sell her stock without persecution, and to help the town survive the attack. Things were complicated when Wren stowed away to follow her. While the other Magpies acquired the much needed supplies for the town, Wraesha and Keys left together to sell the rest of Wraesha’s skooma. Unfortunately, Wren invaded the deal, smashed the skooma, and threatened to tell the whole of the Magpies of her smuggling operation. In an effort to stop Wren, Wraesha attacked her. In the chaos, she shot Keys, and nearly killed Wren with a crossbow bolt. She had begun to make her escape, when she was captured by Seriduril, of Vulkwasten’s guard, who opened a portal back to town and arrested her.

Wraesha spent two months in prison going through a severe withdrawal. The only thing that kept her sane were the visits from Keys, who brought along regular meals and conversation. While in prison, she begged a local dealer to slip her some skooma. She didn’t take much, but Wren noticed that she seemed to have relapsed in prison, and brought her crime to the guard. Wraesha was threatened with banishment, and possible execution, but the town found sympathy, and sentenced her to only a few additional weeks in prison.

During the last few days of her stay, Wraesha received word that she had been fired from the Magpie Trading Company, and was responsible for paying back the steep loans she had taken out to start her business. When her debt collector arrived, he seemed more interested in hurting Wren than Wraesha. In exchange the first month of her debt cleared, Wraesha sold her collector information that lead to the kidnapping and torture of Wren. Once out of prison, Wraesha worked any job she could find. After several odd jobs, she eventually found employment under Bethany, a semi-local magister. She was expected to trade information to her, and act as a general spy for her. Her direct superior, Raxori, began to walk her through the process.

After working a few jobs together, and saving Raxori from an arrow wound, Wraesha and Raxori began to see each other as romantic partners, rather than as coworkers. Bethany thankfully approved of their affair so long as it didn’t affect their work. Wraesha grew more and more desperate for money as she struggled to pay off her debt. She even went as far as claiming responsibility for Wren’s inevitable relapse into skooma to earn the favor of her collector. Wren had in Wraesha’s mind, committed nearly the same crime she had, but received only a quarter of the jail time. She brought her concern to the guard, and during a heated argument with Gilyn, one of the guards, she killed his bird. In retribution, Gilyn cast a spell that damaged her on an emotional, and spiritual level. Wraesha spent the next week with no emotional filter. She was a wreck. It was Raxori who convinced Gilyn to heal her, though she never did fully recover.

Having been injured for a week, and being unable to contact Bethany, Wraesha was strapped for cash, and her payment needed to be made soon. She had almost borrowed enough to make it by when she was robbed. Her collector came just a few days later, and threatened her with indentured servitude, unless she helped kidnapping Wren. Wraesha agreed to sell Wren out to the debt collector, but she was wounded in the ensuing conflict. She woke up the next day to find that she had a punctured lung, and that her home had been burnt to the ground by her collector.

Wraesha had not been in a good mental space while she was recovering, and nearly lost it when she heard that her collector had died in a fight with Wren, and that her debt was still unpaid. Wraesha feared that she would be blamed for the death of the man to whom she was supposed to pay, and searched for a way out. In an act of desperation, she lured M’Sura, an injured healer, to the ashes of her home. While there, Wraesha drugged M’Sura, robbed her, and attempted to murder her to sell her fur. She wounded M’Sura, but couldn’t bring herself to kill her. She was found at the crime scene trying to save M’Sura. Wraesha spent a day detained until a guilty verdict was passed. She was sentenced to execution for her crimes. The only thing that saved her, was the Magpies, coming to take her away to work off her debt. After a legal trade, she was shipped off to Morrowind.

Wraesha changed hands several times before her contract was sold to a faction of Telvanni mages just north of Vos. Arriving as a slave with next to nothing, Wraesha expected her life as a free woman to be over. Though the faction who had purchased Wraesha did not treat her unkindly, Wraesha resented being owned in any capacity, and went out of her way to do only the bare minimum required of her. She made very few friends, and ended up with a few perceived enemies, but was continually given chances to redeem herself. She spent a month in the tower, being disciplined only once by the Telvanni for making another house slave cry.

Despite her poor work ethic, and attitude, she was allowed to travel with her owners to a party in Skyrim. While there, she lured several nord mages away from the party with the plea that she be saved from slavery. In order to remove the enchanted slave anklet that the Telvanni had locked onto her, the mages removed her lower left leg. Crippled, but alive and free, Wraesha escaped Skyrim and returned to Vulkwasten to find that the guard that had sentenced her to death had all been replaced. Wraesha received an unenthusiastic pardon from the new marshal of the guard, and reunited with Raxori, through their relationship crumbled just a few months later.

Ever the opportunist, Wraesha began searching for new ways to make money to buy back what she had lost. After several months of squatting in the homes of friends, the answer materialized out of thin air. Wraesha met with Zalaroth, a former customer of hers, after he had stepped out of a portal on the road Wraesha had been walking. After a brief discussion and a little bit of begging, Wraesha was offered a job at Zalaroth’s university. Wraesha distrusted being around so many mages, but put up with it for the promise of gold. She was told that she would be hired on as more than just a groundskeeper to the university should she prove that she can acquire a number of hard to find, and possibly illegal items for the mages. With some hesitation, Wraesha accepted, and set back out to rebuild bridges that had burned with her company.

Hi, I'm Talia, roster officer.

Everything looks pretty good here, I would just like to point out that skooma is known as a highly-addictive hallucinatory narcotic, making only occasional use rather difficult to pull off. That's not to say it's impossible, but those moments when Wreasha uses skooma might be some of her best. I simply want to make you aware of that dynamic.

Everything else looks good. I'm approving this on 2/13/2017. Please read through our Guild Bank Rules and take a look at our Guild Factions, as approaching an officer to discuss these two things is required for promotion.

Awesome! Thank you so much.

And yeah, I definitely understand that Skooma is not something that is fun and casual to mess around with. My intention is to write it as close as I can to it's lore, and real world allegories, so I've been doing a lot of research into both (I'm probably on half a dozen watchlists by now). I've tried to write it so that Wreasha's use is a coping method, and despite her casual beginnings, the drug has sunk it's claws into her.

Updated once again. 1/6/18. Technically this fails approval because it doesn't have my @ name on it, but just don't tell Raccoonism and we'll be fine.
