Character Name: Shaab’Dar

Race: Khajiit

Age: 28

Sex: Male

Marital Status: Single

Sexual Orientation: Straight

Affliction: None

Physical Description:

A tall, burly Khajiit, with dark grey fur and black markings. He has yellow eyes, a long black mohawk and a beaded goatee.

His preferred garb is dark leathers, for sneaking purposes. He carries himself tall, and upright, even though his skills have him more suited for thievery. His preferred weapon is a bow, as it allows for him to maintain his distance from his opponents.

He is in very good physical condition, and is often mistaken for a bodyguard when he and Wren are in disguise. He does not speak with the typical Khajiit ‘third person’ identification, as he was raised by Bosmer. He maintains a stoic silence as much as he can around strangers, preferring to let Wren do the talking.

- Doesn’t trust anyone except Wren.
- Co-dependant on Wren, due to his abandonment issues.

Why is your character in Dominion territory? How did they get here?:

Since birth. He doesn’t know where his family is originally from, as he was abandoned as a very young child.

Background:

Shaab’dar was found by a clan of Bosmer when his parents abandoned him as a child. To this day, it is unclear why the Bosmer Clan – a group of Green Pact Fanatics – didn’t just eat the young Khajiit, but instead decided to train him in their skills. He remembers not a lot of that time, except that most of his experiences as a child revolved around learning to hunt and sneak, as well as gloomy meals where he was forbidden to eat from the main table. He still finds the concept of sharing a meal with Bosmer stomach turning, and it has taken him years to be able to even sit at another’s table.

The Bosmer clan who found the young Khajiit realised as a child just how curious Khajiit can be. Unfortunately, they found him far too meddlesome in their affairs and often, he was punished for questioning their actions, including their rampant dedication to the Green Pact. This led to his development of a stoic silence that he maintains to this day, choosing to examine the world around him before making decisions he doesn’t confide anyone else with.
Upon reaching manhood at eighteen, the Bosmer Clan, feeling their duty to the young Khajiit was done, gave him weapons and five minutes to pack his bags before they told him to leave. He discovered that the skills his Bosmer adopters had bestowed upon him only went so far. He became accustomed to using his natural stealth to steal whatever he needed to survive, and developed, through underground thief circles, pickpocketing and forgery skills. He also discovered in this time the glory of books, and, while unable to read, began to collect them, in the hope that someday someone would teach him how.

It was after a few years of wandering, desolate and alone, that he met Wren, and the two became steadfast friends. Shaab’dar tags along with Wren’s schemes, always watching her back to ensure that she’s never in too far over her head. His only loyalty is to her – a completely platonic relationship that both take advantage of. She finally taught him how to read, gave him a place to call home, and includes him in her plots for riches – something he secretly adores, but will never admit to.

He is constantly looking for the next great score, wishing nothing more to settle down with a house and his books. His natural affinity for justice and his hotheadedness ensures that such a goal will probably always just be out of reach.

Glad to see this get approved. Please read through our Guild Bank Rules and take a look at our Guild Factions, as approaching an officer to discuss these two things is required for promotion.
