Physical Description: Chrys is small and curvy Breton with copper hair. Her eyes are a green blue like teal and she is very fit. Her muscles are defined and her body covered in freckles.
Personality: Chrys' temperament is kind with a little salt. She has a cynical side that can be provoked and combats uncomfortable situations with sarcastic humor. Chyrs' hobbies include studying various medicinal arts, as well as traditional arts such as but not limited to drawing, painting and ice sculpture. Chrys does have a skewed idea of right and wrong and is involved in some more darker areas truly convinced it is for the right reasons.
Likes: Books, art and babies. She plans to be a midwife.
Dislikes: Situations that are emotionally provoking, and murders.
Strengths: Chyrs is good at healing and swordplay. Her parents were Breton and taught her healing magic and she was raised by redguards that taught her to fight.
Weaknesses: Expressing her emotions. She would rather run away then take responsibility for how she feels.
Background: Chrys originally comes from nothing. Her parents, Edwyn and Ysara were barely able to hold on to hold to their home. Her grandparents on her father’s side were apart of the Ranser’s War. A bloody civil war that shook High Rock and their surrounding Allies. The Lion Guard did their best but the city was Wayrest was surrounded and was forced into a long siege that lasted a few seasons. Edwyn's parents tried to sell their wares through it. However, they could not afford a good location for their booth and it left them open to have their goods stolen and their booth ransacked. Eventually, the redguards came to Wayrest’s aid followed by the Orcs and the rest of the Daggerfall Covenant. The war broke and Wayrest was saved but Edwyn’s parents never fully recovered. When Edwyn grew up he took a wife Ysara Hawksley and the family business.
He did the best he could by keeping food on the table and a roof over their heads. He was working hard o save toward a prime location in the Market and almost had it. One day a thief came to get the coin he had in his lockbox. The very Lockbox that contained the family’s savings. While the thief was picking the lock Edwyn caught him. He tried to get him to go by reason then threaten to call the guards but the thief was determined and killed Edwyn for the coin. When her mother found out she was devastated. The guards came to Ysara and told her the grave news. She tried to keep things afloat but she struggled hard. She was pregnant with two small children and now was left on her own.
Every day was hard work with no relief and the children were too small and could not help. Chrystayne was the oldest of three being 4 years old at the time of her father's death. When Chyrs was six years old her mother meet a man that seemed like a good fit for the family. Willem Ashham was a respected man in Wayrest and was a teacher in a community school for the older kids. Chrys was old enough to know who he was and see the abusive nature of Willem. He was controlling and more than likely picked Elanna’s mother because he felt he could easily control her with little resistance given Ysara’s position. When Ysara started to fight back he became aggressive toward her. She tried to ask for help from people in Wayrest but before she could say too much she went missing. Her body was never found but they did find some blood in a wagon that she owned to help get to the market. Chyrs was only 9 years old.
With no hard evidence to pin Willem for the crime, he walked free. The children were left to fend for themselves. Chyrstayne did the best she could but completely shut down a few weeks after and disappeared. She took a backpack with just a few items from the house and left. Clearly not able to process everything that had happened to her. When she left she bumped into a wealthy family of Redguard merchants that felt for the young girl not having a home. When they asked who she was she gave them a false name and lied about what happened to her. They took her to Sentinal where she grew up with them. They have never found out her name and to this day Chrys goes by her fake name.
When she turned 18 she got onto a ship to find herself. She picked a place far away and traveled to Vvardenfell. Her ship was taken over by slavers and she fought her way to safety. She met a woman that lived in Vvardenfell that gave her a job to go to Riften and paint portraits of the landscape and people there. She expressed being homesick and promised to pay Chrys for her work. Chrys loved the idea of the work and left for Riften. While there she began to study with the Mages guild and meet a girl named Sabine. Sabine is a good friend and bad influence. In the pursuit of some very specific knowledge, they broke into a home that happened to be a vampire coven's lair.
Terrified they tormented her and separated the two ladies. When they finally brought them back together Chrys immediately went to see if she needed to heal her friend, but it was too late. Sabine grabbed Chrys and bite her neck draining her of her blood. She was barely conscious when another more powerful vampire women grabbed Chrys and bite her as well. She transferred the vampirism to Chrys and branded her as her own. Chyrs passed out and when she awoke she was back in the Riften Inn. She ran away trying to process everything that has happened to her. In her running, she came across a lovely town that she could blend into...
