Generally, this would be the daily duties of a Diplomacy officer (ideally):

Check the Applications on the forums/Send Invites
- "Briefly tell us about one of the characters you want to roleplay or have roleplayed in the past, as well as your experience with roleplay." is the most important question to check, make sure they have some brief detail or a small idea of what they want to roleplay as. It doesn't have to be an essay, just looking for any small detail.

Approve them if they meet our expectations (only if you can add them in game at the same time), if they don't meet the expectations, ask them politely for what they are missing

Zone Ads
-After checking pending applications, then go around the zones, and start doing zone ads. Don't spam the chat, just send the message once, wait a couple minutes in case anyone has a question, then move onto the next zone.

-This can also be done while just playing the game normally, and sending out ads in the zone you happen to be in while questing.

Paying attention to our Other Sites
When/If you have spare time, checking our other sites/updating them with information is very valuable too. These sites are listed on the Diplomacy Hubs first page as well. Anook, Teso RP, Official ESO forums, Reddit, Facebook.

Bumping these sites is a good way to get exposure for us as well. Make sure to but something pertaining to the guild though not just "bump". Possibly a picture and caption, maybe with a little story of what is going on in the picture, or something interesting happening in the guild RP. Be creative with how you bump the threads and put us further in the public eye!

These advertisements are not "required" to be used, you are more then welcome to create your own! If you come up with an interesting one, mail me and I'll add it to this list of templates.

Auction/Raffle
Greetings everyone! <Blue Skooma Roleplay> is hosting their famous weekly auction at 10pm EST in Marbruk! Also you can purchase tickets to the 50/50 raffle, cost is 500g each and send em to @Ice_Eye! If you have any questions msg this one!



Another option besides these rotation times is to ask in guildchat/officer chat if anyone has done any zone runs before you start them. Just make sure we don't do them so often as to annoy players.

Guild and auction advertisement:

- hold off 2 hours before and during the auction
- done by: Herfi (normally on 8 to 12, I may onlyrics have time for 1 or 2 runs)

- done every hour, 2 hours before the auction and at the start

We could use more volunteers or officers to advertise during prime time hours (4 pm to 7pm) . If folks want to advertise please do ONE OR THE OTHER. Doing both from the same name could lead to a negative image of the guild being spammers or starting a grieferfest. Similarly do not over advertise, keep to the schedule and one person at a time. Less is better IMO

Aldmeri Dominion NA Server
Blue Skooma Roleplayers is a large and organized Roleplay Guild that aims to provide a place for any type of character to tell their story. Roleplay
We do our best to ensure that Blue Skooma Roleplayers offers fluid roleplay. Fluid roleplay is non-scripted story arcs that allow every member to have an impact on how things play out. We want our guild to be a home for any type of character you can come up with, so we offer a lot in the way of titles, settings, and events to distinguish your character.
We provide Guild Roleplaying events that alter the Guild Storyline, those story-arcs are determined by a group of RP Officers, but the outcomes are always defined as the event goes. We want you all to have a part on the outcome of those events and allow the characters freedom to act as they want, as long as the rules of conduct are observed.

Leadership
Our Guild Leader and the Officer Team work to maintain a positive environment and keep the drama where it belongs: in roleplay. They review applications, organize events and try to take care of the everyday work required of a major guild. You can also count on the weekly newsletter to keep you informed of In-Character and Out-Of-Character developments. As well as have a seasoned Master of Coin, that helps us repeatedly obtain a guild trader. All of our ranks are strictly OOC to promote a fluid roleplay environment.

Events
BSR offefrs an evolving guild story, along side other events such as contests, lotteries, and the lucrative weekly live auction. Members themselves are also free (and encouraged) to create their own events, for their own storylines, and include others into their story ideas. We have an officer team always ready to moderate, help and guide members in their endeavors.

The Auction
Hey everyone, I am @Elridge in game, a senior officer of the guild Blue Skooma Roleplayers. We would like to extend an invitation to our weekly live auctions held every Saturday in the Merchants' Plaza of Marbruk, Greenshade at 7pm PST. We auction different assortment of items every week, while giving out prizes throughout the event.


Soul Raffle
We also do what we call the 50/50 Soul Raffle, previously exclusive to guild members, which is now completely open to the public!

What is a 50/50 Raffle?
What we do is we charge 500 gold for a ticket, 250 gold goes towards the guild coffers and 250 gold goes into the jackpot. We do this throughout the week and announce the winner at the auction. there is also a runner up prize of assorted items that vary every week.

Things are going great with Kin of the Shadow Phoenix, they have told us to come join them in RP at the arena anytime (reminder that their guild is 18+ so expect mature content)

The Veiled Legacy is still looking for people to RP with, this is an Altmer RP group. That kinda narrows the field for us since we don't have too many Altmer in our guild (that I see at least) but if any of them would like to, contact @Faerveren she is still looking.

No new news here, a few of our fighters/spectators visited Kin of the Shadow Phoenix for their event, things seem to have gone well :)



The Roleplay Map was given it's own section due to the importance of the link, note that not all on the map are affiliated with us


1) File reports on major disputes resulting in a ban, or conflict OOC in cross guild RP (mind you that this does not happen often, in the past 3 months or so, I've only had to do a report once)

2) Check the Diplomacy Hub when you can, it is constantly being updated, new information coming in, and old information changing

3) Help keep an eye on, and bump threads on other sites that we run ads, links provided in the Diplomacy Hub

4) Diffuse arguments/prevent arguments by stopping sensitive subject conversations in guildchat

5) Know our status with guild alliances

It is not mandatory, but a recommendation that diplomacy officers branch out and speak a fair amount in guildchat, and get to know our members. Diplomacy can't do much without making friends :P

Elsy helped talk to the SCC after an incident of members being poached, dissuaded from joining BSR and roleplaying in S'renja.

The violator was @Sycon420 who was banned from BSR months ago (by Phoenixthekid) for being continuously rude, and disrespectful towards our members. He was then denied entry into SCC and was attempting to create hostilities between our guilds by claiming to be one of them. He was approaching our members to direct them to Bandaari and the SCC. If you see him around S'renja ignore him IC and warn people OOC. This was not the first case of this happening and he is suspected to return. Please do note, he has no affiliation to SCC

The event was successful for many guilds, I think this could be an ongoing event for BSR to join in on, and possibly host our own events there occasionally.

Number of applications that mention zone chat recruitment, and officers by name have increased!


Recent runs through the zones have taken 1hr 30mins+ due to a recent change I have implemented. Instead of jumping from zone to zone placing the zone ad once, I have been chatting, then placing the ad, and waiting around for another 5+min in that particular zone to answer any questions that were sent over /zone instead of /whisper

This hopefully will draw more attention, putting a friendly face to the ad, while also improving our relations with the community.

As for the cross faction ad, I think the one listed on the first post of the thread is the one you came up with months ago. I don't actually have any characters outside of Aldmeri Dominion, so I don't generally change that one other then minor tweaks. I don't have any variation of the cross faction ads that I prefer, so if you want to update your message just go for it. If you could copy and paste it here so I can update it as well would be great, that way others can use it if they wanted to :)

Elsy has taken up the job to do the parchment. She has a very particular set of skills... that involve graphic design.

As for the auction, this is something we can revisit, before certain people didn't want us to focus on advertising that, to avoid trolls and people joining the guild just to sell their stuff through us. I don't think that is an issue since we accept items from people outside the guild, and trolls will be trolls anyways. Do you want to work up a written draft for an auction parchment and we can post it at the next meeting? Then we can see if Elsy can post it to the paper again.

So yesterday a member of Ice_Eye's trading guild donated a load of RP clothes to our guild, he came to us during RP in the tavern to offload a crate of clothes that "fell" off a carriage. If you see his character Zaid around Vulkwasten be sure to wave hello! I am currently holding the clothes on a mule character as to not flood our bank and to pass them out to those who need them at any point. He said he will continue to supply us with RP clothes that he finds :D

Herfi is currently working on a video to showcase RP in ESO, we need to set a day and advertise it so that he can come film us for a short time. Doesn't have to be a "major" event.

Melane has been taking care of applications the past couple days while I was busy

By the amount of applications we received while I was gone as well, I could only assume that zone runs continued on as normal.



Another large donation of Roleplay clothes has been made to the guild by Zaid, one of Ice_eye's friends from his trading guild. I will be listing the items in guild chat throughout the days offering them up for free just as they have been given to us.

I went through and created a guide for current and future officers of Diplomacy to use. A slight run through of what the basic day should look like. It has been posted to the "Diplomacy Hub" thread

It seems ZoS was still using old information when helping us advertise the auction. My last attempt to update them did'nt yield any results, so I tried again, this time yelling to any of them who would listen :P annnd they responded. Latest response:

Forest Guardian, the leader of the Bramblescar Clan and the creator of the TESO RP Roleplay map, had his guild spotlighted by ZoS this week. A congratulations message was sent and a thank you for his work on the roleplay map, which has helped us out in the past.



It seems when ZoS advertised on auction on their main page we had a good increase in applications listing Facebook, as their first point of contact.

The information has been confirmed to be changed, however although I told them to add @Ice_Eye and @Swet_Roll_Thief to the contact list, they only added @Ice_Eye

After a short conversation about the domain name with Ri'Sari he released the domain name so that I may pick up ownership, however I was informed by the provider that the name will be in limbo and unable to purchase by the public for 30-60+ days Xo because of this, if we want the old domain name, we will have to wait. (message of the day has been changed to reflect this)



After the domain was changed, our teamspeak that was linked to the domain name went down, this was resolved by a quick support ticket to enjin. The new teamspeak address is blueskooma.enjinvoice.com make sure to change the link for your bookmark (message of the day has been changed to reflect this)

Zone runs are going on like normal, though at sporadic times. This still seems to be our main source of new members, so if we can get a couple people helping once in awhile that would be great!

I will be missing tonight at the meeting, I sadly have yet more work that needs to be done.

I haven't been very active in game recently due to work... lots.. and lots of work ;-; to be honest not as much out of game either. I have been keeping tabs on the website to make sure everything is going well though. Truly sorry about that, it's a bit unavoidable at the moment.

I have struck out the auction part, and will be posted a thread about the removal of this event. (After approval of the verbiage at the meeting)

Once we get more ideas set in stone for our events, I will be updating the thread further.



Sadly our old domain name has still not been made public domain :(

*cries tears of joy* We finally have ownership of the blueskooma domain again that means now that Elsy has changed the links, she can change them back again.. *cough*

This will also cause us to have to alter the ads, since .enjin.com will no longer link us to our siteger link us to our site



ALOT of applications have been put in, thank you for all of the ads being run! This helps us tremendously!

The domain name issue has been solved, now not only do we own the domain, but it actually works! Yay! You shouldn't need to change any links you have saved (I hope) since even typing in blueskooma.enjin.com will still drag you to the site itself @ blueskooma.com



Added a bit to the Daily Duties of a Diplomacy Officer, to give ideas on what can be done to help us.

"Bumping these sites is a good way to get exposure for us as well. Make sure to but something pertaining to the guild though not just "bump". Possibly a picture and caption, maybe with a little story of what is going on in the picture, or something interesting happening in the guild RP. Be creative with how you bump the threads and put us further in the public eye!"



Things are pretty quiet on the Diplomacy front, @Manguy7157 has been keeping ontop of the applications. Here is a list of the new members, make sure to wave to them and say hi!

Hey guys, it's time again for me to bump the threads we have on our other advertisements. If anyone has a picture or pictures it would be greatly appreciated! I plan on bumping the threads with a little album, add a write up/caption to your picture if you want to have it added in!

Updates have been made to the official forums, including a thank you message for those that participation in our auctions, as well as adding in pictures from more recent events to bump the thread.

Figure out the Facebook stuff! ((Spoke about this in Officer Meeting 9/29/15. AGata still had control over the Facebook page so the page is out of our hands. It's possible that MAYBE that page can be removed through Admin settings and a new one might can be made and linked to the website...Maybe...But that's not a big issue right now so moving on...))
