Personality
Ja'mren may be warm and charming to your face, but he's prepared to throw anyone under the bus for the right price. This does not mean of course, that he has no room for friendships, simply that such a friendship could end up hazardous to your health (but healthy for your coinpurse). He does value his friends when he settles down somewhere, will gladly have a drink and chat with anyone who will listen, and enjoys hearing other peoples' stories, true or untrue. His manner is more formal than even he sometimes realises, which may disguise how casual the intent behind his words usually is.
A few unfavourable encounters with guards in the past have given him respect for the law (you can't turn a profit from a dungeon), though he will still try to bend it when he can.

Background
Ja'mren was born and raised in Rimmen, sent away with a caravan at the age of six when the Knahaten Flu spread to Senchal. He traveled across much of western Tamriel as he grew, learning to fight, hunt, and work leather with the merchants. Eventually he left the caravan to find his own work as both mercenary and trader, later returning south at the formation of the Aldmeri Dominion. In his first week back in Elsweyr in twenty years, he was robbed in the night, and suffered a nasty wound fending off a werewolf attack, causing him to turn west for Valenwood, believing his luck in Elsweyr to be cursed.
He has been lucky thus far with his Lycanthropy, transformations being uncommon, but unpredictable. He still is unsure how to feel about it as either a boon or detriment but is not yet seeking curing.
